Names of the  44 Aspirants jostling to clinch APC ONDO state Gubernatorial ticket in the party primary election by  Aug 2016.

In a democratic setting, the people's voices are heard via the ballot box.
In Ondo state, the electorates will be going to the polls to elect the Governor that will lead the state for another four years (2017 - 2021) by Nov.26th,2016. As a prelude to the election proper,various political parties conduct in-house/ primary election to select candidates to field in the general election.
In the primary,in-house or intra party elections,the power to decide who will flag the party ticket lies with the party delegates.The delegates decides & votes to choose its representative or candidate through the ballot before the general election. In ondo state,there are over 3000 delegates that will decide the faith of the aspirant to be fielded for the general election in APC. So far,within the fold of APC,numerous aspirants have been unveiling their plans, defining their abilities and thereby,canvassing for votes from the delegates (Over 3000 delegates) all across the 18 local governments, and 234 wards within the state.
As at today, 20th June,2016, over 44 aspirants had shown, indicated & made an open declaration to vye or jostle for the party ticket in the next gubernatorial race & to stand as the flag bearer of the party in the general election.

A federal lawmaker, representing Owo/Ose Federal Constituency of Ondo State in the House of Representatives, Dr. Bode Ayorinde, vying for the governorship seat has promised to rebuild the state through industrialisation.
Ayorinde, a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), made the promise on Monday at a press conference to herald his political campaign, in Akure, the state capital,
He said his desire was to see every local government areas of the state witnessing industrial growth that would provide jobs for the unemployed persons.
The governorship aspirant noted that under his watch, if given the mandate to serve the people of the state, his government shall build infrastructure that would benefit the status of the oil producing state.
“My core programme is industrialisation. Every local government shall witness industrial growth that will provide jobs not only for our people, but also to attract foreigners” Ayorinde said.
