my goodness! Stop saying this, A phone is a nice balance of a cell phone, a camera and a multimedia device.
You can't compare any phone camera to a DSLR
You can't compare any phone to a ps4
You can't compare any phone to a tv
you can't compare any phone to a laptop

Why will i want to pay an extra for a redmi 12 instead of a tecno spark when i know they both sucks at high end gaming

Xioami did mi series, t series, poco, redmi you think they are a fool and will honestly tell you redmi is a killer to mia series, seriously?
It all boils down to how much your budget is and the corners you as a buyer will be willing to cut to afford a phone. But don't buy a phone for half the price of a flagship then tell yourself you buy a flagship killer just so you can make yourself feel good.
I have used a lot of flagship phones and i will never buy a brand new midrange for any reasons i will rather buy a used flagship

Here is when it all boils down on preference — I will only go for the S22 Ultra if it's in the same price range as the Poco F5, once the gap is more than 50k... S22 no go see my breaklight stall.
And due to my preference (and empty pockets), I'd choose the Poco F5 over the Poco F5 Pro. Although I'd rather own a flagship, the 'killers' which are less expensive (what I can afford) and better than other midrangers would be what I should go for.

now that you say it like this it's makes sense and all down to preference.. cos i will rather go for a used flagship than any gimmick flagship killer or midranger, cos at the end there's nothing like flagship killer if the so called killer don't offer exactly what the flagship offer... So what's it killing?
Its like telling someone 18karat gold is better than 24karat because it's cheaper and it looks the same.

Besides the general point of a flagship killer is for it to be a less expensive flagship, right? So to do that, the manufacturing company must cut some corners so they wouldn't incur losses and cut down on their flagship sales at the same time.
It's only when the gap between Flagship Killers and Flagship is too wide, then one can argue if the term is a baseless gimmick.

if you undercut corner it's no longer a flagship killer, cos if so then spark10 is a flagship killer too

Poco has SD 7 Gen 2 Chipset, which is an underclocked version of last year's Flagship 8 Gen 1 chipset
It has an AMOLED display, not OLED as you mentioned (OLED is for the cheaper Chinese variant Redmi 12 Turbo). Reverse charging? Does iPhone 14 Pro Max have that feature? If you want power bank, go for the latest Doogee.

I don't really think this is a debate honestly cos from galaxy note 20 ultra- s22 ultra will murder that f5 pro.
Im a huge fan of xiaomi but a lot of people hyping redmi series like its a flagship killer... that's a HUGE NO, so long its a redmi it will never be a flagship killer

flagship killer is a marketing gimmick and the only true flagship killers was oneplus up untill oneplus 9... and for the last 3years there's no flagship killer anymore cos of the effect of covid.
