I have no idea. If you’re not sure too, just get an affidavit in that regards and you’re good to go. The first name on my passport is different from the one mentioned in my birth certificate. I attached a high court affidavit during my application and I didn’t have any problem with my visa. Greatphase: Thanks a lot for replying. Please, does it matter if one's birth certificate has the middle name ( on passport), written as the first name on the birth certificate? |

I don’t think there’s any country embassy that have visa offer for birth tourism. You’re mistaken. You might tell a visa officer that you want to go to their country to give birth and they will approve your application. Another applicant might try same and get denied, so it’s subjective. Sometimes it’s not about right or wrong answers during interviews, but about how you answer them. Confidence matters. GodGraceOnly: Exactly but looking at someone to dictate pregnancy mighty give a false assumption because some women naturally have big tummy while some have it after childbirth and that doesn’t mean they’re pregnant.
Moreso, if people have money to birth, I don’t think there should be any issue with that unless it’s because of skin colour. After all, USA, Canada etc have offer for all that.
Some ladies worn bubu dress and top for the interview and some came from Abuja. |

For tourist visa application, you don’t need to legalize any of those mentioned documents. For residency purpose, an authenticated PCC willow likely be needed. You don’t need a Brazilian tourist company. As a freelancer, you’re not expected to have a work/leave letter. But it will be to your advantage if you have a registered company or you can show some proof of employment. Greatphase: Hi everyone. Please, for someone going to Brazil for tourism purpose, can the person use a color copy for legalizations( Police report, Bank statement/ Reference letter)?
Does legalized birth certificate play any role there eg for residency?
Is Brazilian tourist company needed when applying for Tourist visa?
Notes: Visitation destinations are Brasilia & Belo Horizonte.
Hoping they aren't strict on work and leave letters for a freelancer researcher who also invests in Nigeria's financial markets and has ENOUGH for proof of funds. |

We weren’t called for interview, we got the visas without an interview so I have no idea what questions the might ask, probably about your travel plans and maybe, why Brazil…. I’m just guessing. GodGraceOnly: Woow congrats . I just got mail for interview.
Did you attend interview? If yes, How long after your interview did you receive your Visa?
Please do you know the kind of question they’d ask? I’m not sure what your travel dates are, try looking up the carnival and if your new travel dates fall within that time, you can use it as an extra reason why you intend to visit Brazil.
If/when you get the visa, the carnival period is not a good time to visit Brazil, unless you really want to experience the Carnival. This is because accommodation (hotels, airbnbs) are super expensive around that period.
Kindly notify me please. Thanks . I felt so ecstatic when I I saw the mail. |

Our travel dates also elapsed twice and we were asked to resend new flight and hotel reservations on 2 different occasion. We didn’t send new leave letter because it wasn’t requested, you shouldn’t either. Our application period took about 3 months in total and we got the visas in the end (tourist visa). Goodluck. GodGraceOnly: Thanks but it’s a new reservation because my previous travel expired because my previous travel date elapsed.
Thanks. Did you submit new leave letter? I don’t know if I should also send a new leave letter and company NOC to them when work resumes next week because my new travel itinerary is above my previous work leave travel date schedule.
Goggle states Brazil visit visa for Nigeria takes 10days and I saw different period during my application of which I have already gotten leave approval date.
I hope this one doesn’t by pass again because I’m paying for the reservations.
Did the previous leave letter you submitted if you did had any negative effect on your approval? |

GodGraceOnly: Hello house, please I got a mail to send flight and hotel reservation to them, will I be sending them via mail or courier?
Someone who has forwarded same to them should please let me know how they them.
Thanks. |

Thanks How many weeks pregnant are you? Apply for a tourist visa. The earlier the better, because the processing time seem to be long. Don’t wait until you’re even 5 months gone. Good thing is they usually give a one year visa. Here’s the link to apply https://ec-lagos.itamaraty.gov.br/Application period might take up to 4 months, just get the right documents and proof of fund. You can say you want to attend the next RIO carnival. Goodluck. |

Yes the procedure is still pretty much same. Also there’s nothing wrong with using an agent, but you should know that there’s nothing special or additional the agent would do for you. They will still follow the same steps outlined, they have no influence on visa decisions. Unless one feels lazy to gather their documents and apply themselves, only then can they pay someone to do that for them. Importantly, since you’re intending to go give birth there, make sure you start your application as early as 3 months into the pregnancy. Goodluck. Finlola: Hello, everyone! Yes you can apply for the visa from Country A and still fly from Country B. Don’t purchase a flight ticket, unless it’s a refundable one. You can show a flight itinerary from ‘African Country’ and when you get your visa approved, book the ticket you really want to use from your preferred departure point.. Greatphase: House please answer: Please, can one apply for Brazilian transit visa via their embassy in another African country but fly through Lagos( Qatar airlines)? Do I submit a CONFIRMED ticket or just a flight itinery/ flight booking stating my route as Lagos to Sao Paulo even when I have residence permit of that African country or I state the route as 'African country to Sao Paulo' and change it later ( if flight itinery is accepted)?
Note: I plan to continue my journey with LATAM to another South American country nearby with a residence visa from Brazilian airport, reason why I don't want any delay with any airline ie taking risk with time because I might have already booked with LATAM when applying for the Brazilian transit visa to show that my stay at the Brazilian airport/ ground is only temporary. |

According to the email, it means; Submit your original passport with your application and also include colour copies of the pages of the passport. Afterwhich you can inform the consulate that you want to retrieve your passport while the visa processing is ongoing. Retrieving your passport will not affect the visa process. sadegivens0: @Africankel… It appears that we are still on this topic. Having read the email exchange between you and the Consulate. The email from the Consulate contradicts the previous statement about retrieving passports without prejudice, implying that the originals are needed for the initial submission. Here's a breakdown of what each part implies:
Content:
"You may retrieve your passports without prejudice to your visa application’s, but remember of making complete colorful copies of your passports, send with the originals, which will be returned to anytime at your order to some parcel service company, informing us ahead of time." Explanation: This sentence is a bit awkwardly phrased but conveys an important message. It means that the applicant can take their passports back even while their visa application is being processed, but they must submit complete, color copies of their passports along with the original passports. The original passports will be returned to the applicant via a parcel service at their request, provided the consulate is informed in advance. "Without presenting the original passports, though, your visa application will not be processed." This statement means that you must show your actual, physical passports when you submit your visa application. Explanation: This is a crucial instruction. It explicitly states that the visa application will not be processed if the original passports are not presented to the consulate in the first place. This contradicts the previous statement about retrieving passports without prejudice, implying that the originals are needed for the initial submission.
Here's a breakdown of what each part implies: "Without presenting the original passports...": This emphasizes that copies, scans, or any other form of reproduction of your passport will not be accepted. They need to see the genuine document. "...though,...": This acts as a transition, highlighting the critical nature of the preceding condition. "...your visa application will not be processed.": This is the consequence. If you don't provide the original passports, the people reviewing your application will not even begin to look at it, much less approve or deny it. It will be immediately halted or rejected at the initial stage. In essence, it's a non-negotiable requirement. No original passports, no visa processing. |

If they ask you to resend bank statement, it might be because they want to compare with the previous one you sent to them, if the fund therein are truly yours. Some people borrow fund for POF, and after submitting the statement of account to the embassy, they return the fund back to the owner. In this case, if the embassy ask you to resend the bank statement, the initial fund won’t be there. sadegivens0: Thank you for sharing your experience @ lordxxstephen.
In my situation, they requested that I send them through pdf format only 3 months statement of account, flight and hotel reservation. I just finished sending or forwarding it to them through email. I have sent them this same documents prior.
My question is: why do they always ask us to send them, for the same documents that they already have in their possession or that was originally sent to them prior?
I will be very grateful for the answer to my question because I am just curious. |

Cc SugarPg, erico2k2, TadeDetule, untamed, dvs51, peppo4live In my case I wrote “N/A”, meaning Not Applicable and there was no issue with it. joburoh: Hello Everyone, Would one need a Yellow fever Card when travelling from Nigeria to Brazil? Also which airline would one suggest to go with?
Thank you Brazil does not require yellow fever vaccination. But if the airline ask for the card and you have it, good. Otherwise try another airline. Suggestion about airline to use? This largely depends on your budget and visa restrictions too. You can go to Skyscanner or Expedia websites to see list of available flights that go from your departure city to destination city. Afterwards you can go to the airline’s website to book directly. Ethiopian airline is okay to use, budget friendly and if you have an overnight layover, they usually provide free hotel accommodation and feeding. Others are Qatar airways, Royal Air Maroc, Egypt air. Do not book British airways, Air France if you don’t have a uk or Schengen transit visa. |

Griot77: Good day everyone, please I will implore someone in the house who have gotten their tourist visa either as a single or married couple with kids to create a short guide, it could be in PDF or plain text that will be posted on this thread and can be referenced for a long time. This will be a game changer, because honestly I don't understand these Brazilian embassy anymore and how they turn down your application and yet provide no reason, despite taking time to carefully package your application with the right and authentic documents. Particularly, I will really appreciate a practical step-by-step guide on how to apply as a family of 4, POF required and documents.
Thank you in advance There isn’t a set formula for this. Most times this is at the discretion of the consular officer. One of the major reasons embassies deny visa is lack of ties of the applicant to their home country. They want to see that you have a reason to return to your country after your trip. Such as, marriage/family, job, real estate properties. Documents usually required by most embassies for visa applications are: - If married, proof of marriage. Preferably official wedding certificate from the court. - proof of employment. Such as employment letter, salary payslips, letter from your employer showing you applied for leave and it was approved. If you’re self employed, make sure you have a company registered and provide the cac documents. Also make sure your company has been running for atleast 3 years and you pay tax. So also get your tax clearance certificate for the last 3 years. A lot of people have cac registration but no TCC. Some embassies know that some of these companies are just registered for visa purposes especially when you don’t pay tax. So it’s a shell company not a actual running company -if you have landed properties, include the documents to show proof. - Money (very important). Make sure you have enough money in your account. How much? Can’t say. Calculate like this. If you will spend 5 days there, do an estimate of daily feeding cost for each of you for the 5 days. Add the cost of flight tickets and accommodation. If all comes to say 10m naira, try to have a balance of atleast 15m naira. You can’t say your trip will cost you 10m and your account balance is 12m. They won’t believe you’re using 95% of your savings for a trip. Make sure the bank statement you provide is running. Don’t just deposit 25m there and leave it, then use it to apply. They will think the money is not yours and you borrowed it. Use the account to do expenses like pay bills, shopping….. make them believe the money is yours and you’re using it. If you’re traveling with kids, make sure the travel dates you selected are not when the kids are supposed to be in school. Then hope for the best. Good luck. |

The amount you’ll have in your bank account, deduct the cost of your flight tickets, hotel accommodation for both you and your spouse. And make sure there is still enough left to cater for daily expenses for the number of days you say you’ll spend in Brazil. Because they expect that’s where you’ll be paying all your travel expenses from. Secondly, try to keep that fund in the bank until you get a visa approval/denial from the embassy. Because they might ask you after some weeks to resend bank statements, maybe to see if the fund is truly yours. |

Only the Embassy can answer this question. We applied in July, later in October we received an email asking us to provide another flight reservation, hotel bookings and bank statement, which we did. In November, they sent another email requesting for the same thing again. Finally we got the visas in December. Even while checking the status on their website, our application went from "under review" to "record not found", I'd advise you to not cancel the application and wait it out until they make a decision, unless you need to use your passport. Goodluck. kindness111: Hello my people, please does the embassy holding back one's passport and documents for long means the person will get the visa? You dont need to pay for flight ticket, most embassies will tell you not to pay until you receive a visa. What they usually want to see is the flight itinerary. Book a flight and select the pay later option. Print out the booking reservation and attach it to your application. For cover letter, My wife is employed by an organization while I am self employed. We both sent in personal cover letters introducing ourselves, mentioning our reasons for wanting to visit Brazil and some of our vacation plans while we're there. priscaebuka21: Thank you very much
I am employed I actually submitted my employment offer initially
I did not include a cover But am about to include it now, I have also gotten hotel reservations now but the problem is flight reservation, I have called almost all the agents I saw they said I have to book full flight
I am considering submitting the hotel reservations and cover letter then write them email regarding the flight reservation
I don’t know if that will work |

The embassy might send you an email to provide the missing documents. Although I'm not sure your excuse for not including a flight reservation, it might cause a denial of visa. Most people recently got their visa approved between 4-6 months after application, maybe because of several applications the embassy received or probably because they know a lot of people are going there to give birth and left with about 3 months EDD. You're already 25 weeks gone and just applied, going by their tactics lately, you might get a response after you've given birth unfortunately. But I wish you a favourable news. We applied 5 months into our pregnancy and visa was granted 3 weeks after we gave birth in Nigeria priscaebuka21: Good day everyone please I am 25 weeks pregnant and I submitted my Brazil tourism online application form and also submitted the delivery receipt two days ago but the status shows “in review, wait for email “ but am yet to get any email
Also among all the requirements for tourism visa I did not submit my company introduction letter because even up till now am still waiting on them to finalise the letter and also did not submit evidence for flight reservation
So I want to know if it will cause me visa denial And how long it will take for embassy to respond
Also want to know if anyone has applied while pregnant before and if it was approved
Thank you in advance |
