Good morning I recently replaced the battery civic 010 vehicle with 62ah. I connected the negative terminal first, followed by the positive terminal, and while connecting the positive, the horn started to sound continuously, prompting me to disconnect that terminal. I reconnected the horn still sounding, I unlock the car with remote, lock it back still sounding, I kept doing unlocking and locking both with key till it stopped. Since then the horn sound sometimes while driving without pressing it, it also sound continuously when I park the car at noon and midnight. Pls what could be the solution.

Also, the back shock is bad. I was wondering if it can cause shaking and vibration especially when the brake is applied at high speed.

My CRV 2014 is just 6 months old. Bought Tokunbor and had mechanics test it before buying.

Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to be the best of buy. When I bought it, it had no dashboard light. After a few weeks, 3 lights came up, VSC, TPMS and Electronic sterring light, all at the same time.

Changed a lot of parts on both front and back legs because of noises. Also changed fuel pump.

Now, after doing some repairs on the hub, ABS light has come up and AWD light.

Ive used so many Hondas and haven't had this much issues. Im disappointed, and one of the reasons I bought the car was the lack of any fault lights on the dashboard.

My 2014 accord is 4 years old and has no dashboard light. Apart from servicing, changing kick, changing break pads, changing of one fan, the car drives like a dream.

Just yesterday, the CRV had a hesitation while climbing a hilly road, something never noticed before and it's really upsetting.

The car i replaced this with was a 2006 civic and was used for 6 years without many issues. Is the CRV just a bad car or I was unlucky not to get one in good condition.

- SUV: Because of the road around my area
- Budget: Max of 15m

Someone said for a beginner like me, I should stick within the Toyota and Honda bucket. Please advise me on what I can get with that budget considering my Spec.

I don't know why people do not read or learn, This permit has be suspended s it is cos of partitions in court. So stop applying. Wait until there is an official statement declaring it to go on.

Dear Nairaland Auto section gurus,

I need your expertise in buying a Nigerian used vehicle.

I am currently in the market for a 4 plug Toyoya camry 04/05/06 and my budget is between 4-5 million but unfortunately i have inspected a couple of them with professional help from direct users and dealers and doesn't meet the required standard or too pricy for cars i will have to spend extra money after exceeding my budget to finetune again so i gladly just count my losses on inspection fees and moved on.

Currently someone offered me a 2004 camry XLE but a V6 engine, car was inspected today and everything runs fine but it is first body but already faded and will need to flash it, AC was moturary standard. The price was very reasonable but i have some concerns

1. Fuel economy: i would not mind if it is just a few liters and not by a wide margin (I live in Lagos with high tendency of traffic)
2. Resale as most Nigerians like myself prefer a 4 plug engine

The reason why i need a car is to
1. Drop my son and pick him up daily from preschool instead of jumping bikes - Recently resumed
2. Market runs with my wife /errands
3. My wife to take my son out regularly/family outings with ease
4. Few movements as i work remotely and attend a couple of exhibitions over the course of the year.

Also do not plan on spending too much on a car as i might sell it about a year to possible relocate.


What would you advise as i look forward to your inputs!

Okay I will do all that.

Though i refill yesterday and went out, it has not shorten again, but I'm still monitoring it closely,

I don't think it's mixing with the transmission fluid, but is there any color i would see that tells there are mixing?

The radiator and reservoir cover are still intact

Yes it's coolant i used to top up, but I'm wondering why it reduced when there's no leakage.

Then the car better be very fun to drive. Very very fun. I think the required fuel as premium unleaded is also an issue in Nigeria, as no one sells that as far as I know.

Had a good ride again with the beamer, to and fro aguata, anambra state. The RX was really not a match for the beamer, but hey, it was not a flawless victory

Will be due for servicing when I get back to abj
