Okay I went to the banks along Sapele road between KADA and secretariat, Access bank was not paying, Zenith bank there was also not paying, Echo bank was paying 20k to only their customers, others can only withdraw 1k five times. GTB was same as Echo bank. The only good one among them was fidelity bank that was paying 20k to everyone. But the queue was immense.

Please has anyone gone to withdraw from banks around Ring Road Benin city today? Is any of the bank dispensing cash? Which of the bank? I don't want to make a trip only to find out that no bank is dispensing cash.

Millions of Nigerians will disagree with you. With the rate at which the new notes is introduced, there will be protest and riots across the country if banks stop accepting the old notes by Feb 10. Millions of Nigerians will not be willing to accept the loss.

There is no difference. Since bank will be accepting it then people will accept it and deposit it in their account. Unless bank stop accepting it then people will stop regarding it as a legal tender

The law says banks must accept the old notes for six months after the release of new notes.

As much as I don't like it, but this is the fact.

The CBN governor said he agrees with section 20(3) of the CBN Act, which provides that commercial banks must accept old notes after a deadline.

After February 10, the old notes will cease to be legal tender, meaning people will have the right to not accept it, but people will still be able to deposit them into their bank account.

Unfortunately the CBN governor cannot just make new rules and laws, he must be guided by the constitution. "Three months after the release of new Naira notes, banks must stop accepting the old notes." the CBN governor cannot give such order when the constitution says otherwise.

Buhari, Emefiele lost the battle with criminal politicians and corrupt Nigerians. As I speak ATM at the two banks UBA and First bank close to my house were still dispensing old N1,000 notes. And POS and other holders are selling a single N1,000 note for N200. With the current pace at which people get the new notes, If banks stop accepting old note by February 10, the citizens will suffer enormous lose and there will be riot across the country.

The average Nigerian is a part-time criminal. They go on their daily work waiting for opportunity to be fraud their employer and customer.

The worst thing is that Nigerians are still supporting Tinubu and Atiku who are the main reason Naira redesign deadline exist.

Did you not promise to solve all the major problems of the country if elected in 2015? Yet your administration failed to solve a single one. After eight years, there was no single improvement in any of the major sectors, be it education, health, power or security. Now Tinubu is making mouth about being the only one capable of solving the problems the country is facing, just like you did in 2015.

The entire Europe is currently at war but I don't know why the world refused to declare it as such. The war is between Europe and Russia. Missile from Russia can drop on any European country at any moment. People traveling should be mindful of the current reality.
