gunuvi: I only remember that verse in the bible that says that in the last days many fake prophets will be everywhere. This mbaka is a prophet of the devil. Can you innagine the audacity to even mingle with politicians. Nonsense Wonder how he mingled with politics by prophesying from his pulpit. Did he go to d media house to ask for publicity. Or is it unscriptural for prophecy to come from the church about d nation or times? He spoke to his members about times and events and u call it mingle with politics. From his narration, he didnt seek Jonathan's help, they did, and he seemed to have been praying with them before d said prophecy. So prophesying about him is nothing special. Mayb its Jonathan dt err in not taking to heart d prophecy of a man he trusted his prayers but he resulted to offering money to please him. If he has given jonathan d treatment Peter gave such attitude in d book of Acts thr would have been serious commotion and talking down on Rev Mbaka. Peter's word when offered money for such in d book of Acts is ds "Ur Money Perish Wit U". If Mbaka say such wat will u ur reaction then. Note Peter said such publicly which would have been all over d media if its in ds generation and then u would have called it mingling too. |

9jacrip: There's nothing spiritual about your prediction. Any observer, either local or int'l knew Jonathan wasn't going to likely win with odds stacked against him after 6 years in power and APC's grip on media and the many decampings from PDP.
I wonder what these pastors would say when European historians or catholics eventually come out to state Christianity as a religion was an invention and things written in the bible about Jesus were false? I guess ur local and international observers knew very well that Abacha would die as president too. It's good u stay with ur observations and observers and leave others that spoke them ahead of time. |

See how the God of the 5% is fighting back for his people. Bringing His name to justify mundane things is not necessary at all. We have nations without God dt are yet regarded as successful in ds world. Is He selective in His fights? U even used d name "God Almighty" in d same context with "God fighting back". Do u really kno d import of d word God Almighty?. jarkata: I have been pondering over this question for a very long time, even before I got transfer to the east. The fact still remains dat Ibo people are good people with good mind and they are accommodating. Their industrious spirit actually boost my morale. An average Yoruba, isekiri,or urobo man would rather confine or believe in Hausa/fulani man than Ibo man. Nigeria government should allow this people to have their biafra , Nigeria is not united with one mind since 1914, do you know how many Ibo people have lost their lives in northern Nigeria due to religious crises even b4 d Boko Haram insurgency, burning of churches and killing of Christians in the north. I could remember during my NYSC in yobe state, five of us were posted to d same school ,2 Yorubas ,3 Ibos and one idoma boy called ' bobo' by name. Despite d fact dat d proprietor of the school didn't see the wall of even primary school he instructed d principal to reject d 3 Ibo's, in my mind I said why ,are we not one Nigeria? Since dat time I kept asking myself WHY IBO PEOPLE HAVE MORE HATERS FROM OTHER TRIBES .with d kind of mindset I was having towards Ibo people before now I realized Ibo land is one of the most peaceful land to stay, u hardly experience mayhem and pandemonium we do suffer in some area in Lagos like harm robbery, ' agbero ' problem e.t.c. I have been staying in Aba for d past seven month, there is no presence of govt. here, bad road everywhere even d major federal government road, aba to porthercourt is nothing to right home about. government should extend their tentacles in d level of capital project to the east, dat is why they are clamouring for biafra. though Their state government is also corrupt ,I see no reason why t. orji will spend eight years as a governor in abia and no sign of democracy Atal, he still emerged as a senator again na WA oooo .d fact still remains day, abia state received more allocation from federal govt than many states in south west and north yet no significant improvement here. I don't know of other states in the east. wait first, let assume t.orji becomes d president of Nigeria in 2019 WHAT MIRACLE CAN HE PERFORM. Mr OP, am sure u r not a spokesman of any tribe in Nigeria neither are u d representative of any. No tribe has come out to say wat u wrote up thr except u and maybe others like u. Ibo ppl are not hated and they hate no one too as a tribe. In every nation, all tribes must strive its recognition and survival of its traditions, in doing dt toes can be stepped upon. Dt might be read as hatred by few as u while majority see it as striving to be d best. Please it ll b proper for Seun or d Mod to close ds tread as its a recipe for unhealthy tribal discussion and ethnic degradation. Thanks. |

You need to learn to respect the opinions of others and not resort to name calling because you don't share his opinion. Sir. U definitely operates a programmed mind. Am nt concern about groups or ethnicity, am more concern about public sanity in disposition of opinions. It's clear dt of recent here posts from all divides dt glorify public disgrace in disguise of ethnicity, religion or association biase have been dealt with irrespective of d poster's identity. Ur post is obviously an opposition to d OP but u were nt banned and am sure u ll never be banned becos it wasnt filled with hatred and curses but ur opinion presented in a civilized way. plaetton: Lol. Pls kindly present your so-called documented facts.
Let me educate you. You can pay me back when your school fees have been refunded to you.
There have been tonnes of studies that correlate religiosity of a society with lack of progress and poverty, low standard of life, corruption, human rights abuses, scientific underachievement, and lack of social harmony.
And, People whose worldviews are not firmly grounded on the laws of mathematics and scientific rationalism should never be in positions where they can MAKE DECISIONS that affect others, especially a population.
This is the problem of Africa's underachievement and BASKET CASE status.
We allow idio.ts and moro.ns whose worldviews are grounded on toxic Stone-age myths to MAKE DECISIONS that affect populations of millions.
So, bottom line is : If you're unfortunate to be born in a society where idio.ts with stone-age worldviews , who know the bible and Koran inside out, but can't understand simple economics or simple scientific facts, make decisions that affect your life, then you would most likely to end up as an economic refugee.
Simple. Thanks Professor for mixing things up. Do a spreadsheet for ursef and set out column by column row by row. 1stly d total major religion and fanatical beliefs in existence (guess u don't see beyond christian and muslem or u porpurposely do dt to justify ur point). Then set out d countries dominated by such religion or beliefs. Set out thr population also and religions views of thr past leaders and most successful once. Finally corelate them wit natural endowment and human capital utilization of each countries then u can come back and have ds discussion. I won't be able to serve u ready made answers from other ppls work since u dont Wang to search. Ur opinion up thr won't even pass d most basic logic for nations development. |

mentorken05: In as much as I have my own candid opinion,i noticed that other people`s opinion differs. I personally think that an elected senator is more powerful than an appointed minister(with all things being equal) but also I figured out that here in Nigeria, things are somehow different with regards to a minister having more than one portfolios. Please fellow nairalanders who do you think Is more powerful
Moderator please I need to get as much response as possible Cc lalasticlala Comparing A Minister & Senator As An Individual. The minister can be more influential than d senator to d populace and country at large due to d size of thr responsibilities. A senator on d other hand will be more powerful 1stly becos he rest on d election by d people and can hardly b removed witout legal process. He can also exercise his power over a minister thru summoning. Yet a minister influence override such of an ordinary minister in affecting d ppl. Hence d reason why ppl will mostly kno about Fashola now in most states than knowing one of thr senators. And d reason u kno Diezeni more than senators from Bayelsa especially d regular ppl without flair for politics. So Ministers Are More Influential, Senators Are More Powerful. Freegift75: Where are we heading in this Nation? I'm using this medium to send general warning to all men who own cars, to be mindful of who they carry as lift on the highways.
I had a bitter encounter with a devilish lady yesterday. I went to Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago Iwoye Ogun State to meet my wife who is also a secretary there, as regard the admission of our Son.
At about 4pm when returning to Ijebu Ode from Ago Iwoye, two ladies waved me down and pleaded for a lift to Ijebu Ode. When we got to Cocoa Cola round about before Kara, one of the ladies alighted with appreciation.
On getting to Molipa Junction at Ibadan Garage, the second lady opted to alight. But to my surprise, immediately I stopped, she just furiously held my cloth and started screaming:
"Pay me my money...pay me my money, since yesterday you used me and decided to dump me without payment--useless man"---said lady
I was shocked! Suddenly, people began to gather around us. She refused to come down from the car, claiming I carried her overnight and refused to redeem my part.
I indeed felt shameful and embarrassed as a Pastor. I shed tears!
When people asked her the cost, she claimed N50,000. I shouted - haaaaa aaa aaa aaa ah! N50 what? - I asked.
Shamefully, people around had started believing her while some still never believed. Eventually, people said I should give her some amount but she remained adamant, saying our agreement was N50K.
With eyes full of tears, I gave my ATM to someone there to go to nearby first bank to withdraw N50K.
But Openly there, I began to curse her. I cursed her career, cursed her marriage, cursed her future, cursed her fruit of the womb....
Callously, she collected the N50K and left. It was very shameful and embarrassing. She abused, insulted me even almost slapping me and carted away N50K.
This is my sad encounter with OLOSHO. I advise all men to be very careful of carrying lift. Sir, I will stay to believe u because i have seen such happened in PH in 2010 around Nkpogu Junction Trans Amadi. D lady so aggressive torn d man's shirt. D man was just surprised and quiet as people gathered accusing him of evil. His saving grace was a soldier who fortunately was passing by dt time. The soldier intervene and asked d man to say d truth before he finds out himsef. D man insisted dt he never ever practiced such before dt he is happily married, he just helped d lady from Garrison b/stop. Then d soldier man asked d most daring question dt killed d situation. he asked d lady " did u say he carried u ds morning to d hotel and after doing all he then wanted to drop u here? D lady confirm affirmatively YES. Then d soldier asked her, is d man on boxer or pant and wat is d color d underwear. With little silence d lady said its boxer and plain dark blue. D soldier then begged d man to show part of his underwear. Immediately d soldier saw d color and type of underwear, a heavy and deadly slap was observed from d soldier to d deadly lady. Alas d man was on white pant. I believe she will never engage in such again with further beating and cursing she experienced. Sorry for ur situation sir. Well, i just created ds account to support ur post. |
