Christianity EtcRe: Faith Oyedepo: You're Under Demonic Influence If You Question Your Husband... by easygoingchi: 10:49pm On Aug 13, 2021

t is not God's commandment , but God's curse that had a woman submitting to a man. That is what that write up was meant to help you see. jesus Christ came to remove that curse from all those women who will instead submit to and obey His teachings and commandments. Meaning no longer are they subject to men but are made equal to them and this in the Kingdom of God. undecided

The new covenant Law, jesus Christ, declared that He alone is Head & Master over each person who belongs to Him. And He also condemned the serving of two masters. - Matthew 23 vs 7 - 10

What is written in Ephesians obviously goes against jesus Christ, God's new covenant Law, when it suggests that women are to submit/worship their husbands proclaiming that husbands are heads, this again against jesus Christ's own decree, over their wives. undecided

So when a husband and his wife obey what is written in Ephesians, they actually do so against jesus Christ and so are not of Him. undecided
I actually thought we could have a decent conversation and let scripture explain itself. However, with your approach of trying to select some parts of the bible which favours your belief but condemn other parts which don't align, you are clearly on a whole new level and it is pointless going further with this discussion.

I'd advise you to be open to the entire scriptures and let God shine the light of his word in your heart for better understanding.
God bless and have a good evening ma'am

CatANDratTHEORY:
Wife to the General Overseer and President of Living Faith Church Worldwide, Faith Oyedepo has flayed feminist groups in a fresh social media post.

The woman of God in her post said any woman or women’s organization which attempts to question the position of the man in the family should be regarded as being under the influence of demons.

Oyedepo’s wife said this in a post on her verified Facebook page.

The renowned pastor’s wife said women should be in subjection to their husbands in everything.

Her post read:

OP, please correct your title as it is misleading which is causing people to make wrong comments.
Mrs Faith Oyedepo did not say you cannot question your husband. She said you should not question the position of the man in the family.

Even though Jesus Christ made it clear that marriages are not of His Kingdom, but of this world, they continue to install themselves as marriage counselors in the name of God.

Marriage was in place before the curse showed up so equality in marriage is not against God but as God created it to be. undecided

After the curse came in however, woman was cursed, condemned by God to be ruled over by man and perish in the end - cease to exist / return to dust when she dies!

However, through Jesus Christ all who believe in Him, including women, are saved from this condemning curse(all those who live under the curse perish much like Adam), and are made equal members of the Kingdom of God. undecided

Sadly, your Mogs have no knowledge of this and so continue to preach lies as sermons in the name of God. undecided
Two things to address in your response,
1. You say this "curse" of the husband ruling over a wife ceases to exist because of the death of Jesus Christ, how come the other curse to the woman of pain during child birth has not been nullified? Or once a woman believes in Jesus, child birth becomes pain free? You can't be selective when applying scriptures.
Secondly, the curse to the man "You will have to work hard all your life for the food the ground produces." is also not nullified through the death of Jesus Christ. You will agree that generally man still needs to work hard to provide for his family even till today.

You also seem to ignore several passages in the new testament (after Christ's death) where the husband is still recognized as the head of the wife. Does it mean the writers of those passages forgot the effect of Christ's death? It simply does not apply that way madam.
For reference - I Cor 11:3, Ephe 5:23 - 25

2 You talk about Equality. I really wonder why "Submission" is being equated to "Inequality". those have totally separate meanings.

We are all equal in the sight of God, no doubt. However, that does not mean there is no head?
Example - In our secular work places, we likely have a boss who gives instructions and the employees submit to those guidelines. You can give advise to your boss as applicable but the final decision rests with the boss (may be right and may not be). That is authority & headship. In all of these, your boss does not see you as less of a human being or not equal to him. Yet for order to reign, there is a hierarchy in the organization. the same applies to the family. We are all one and equal in Christ but the family has a head who is the husband.

Hope the above helps clarify some of your misconceptions.
