thank you so much fellis for the support, we appreciate it, unfortunately most people takes advantage of cancerian's nature, and it hurts. Funny enough we still are not always ready to take out our claws in response; the reason: even if a cancer native feels hurt by what you do to him/her, he/she still cares about how bad you are gonna feel if he/she has to retaliate. We care too much for other people's feeling at the detriment of ours, that is why one of our mates here wrote sometimes she doesn't like being a cancerian, even if you feel it is right to hurt someone cos he deserves it, you still feel wrong to do it because it would be immoral of you. Well, I've taken my time 2 read and re-read every post on dis thread and man if I say it blew my mind dat will b a gross understatement. All u guys said about character traits of cancers is totally true, take me 4 instance, I'm very talented in music and writing, due to d fact dat I'm a quiet person naturally I let my pen «or my keyboard/pad as d case may be» do the talking. As 4 my music aspect I've not bn able 2 overcome dat shyness to sing in public though I sing 2 my girlfriend behind closed doors.

U r welcome bro, glad you are picking more interest in zodiacs, it really is gonna help answer many of the questions that you keep asking yourself about your own nature, though like I wrote in earlier post, I don't explore the spiritual aspect of zodiacs, because apart from not feeling it personally, it is againt my principles as a muslim. But the trait/character aspect of zodiac is not offensive, it only make us understand what we are, our strenght and wekness and hence creating the avenue for appreciation and adjustment of the traits and maximise the essense of life. Thank God it is not too late for me. Just like you (and most cancerians anyway), I have some talents, I can sing, I can rap and write good lyrics, in addition, I used play good football, but I never get the courage to perform in front of the public and people who would have eventually helped me out in materialising these talents, what a waste! Too shy, and cares too much about mistakes to come out in public, sometimes I swallow some uncommon responses to uncommon questions that would have brought me moments of grace in the class because of shyness, some of my teachers in secondary school would have to call my name to give a response to a question nobody has a clue to because they know that though I possibly have the correct answer, I will never say it willingly due to shyness. One of the talents that I have and am expressing now is designing and drawing, I now work as a graphic designer for someone, took some time to eventually engage in that but it is never too late, believe me bro, many of us have lost a lot different things because of this. Reason why you need to talk to that cancerian guy or lazy next to you so they can wake up and shine. And that is why I'm getting us together here. It won't be easy to change that nature, but it is possible. We have the best traits in the zodiacs (no be say I dey fumble), unfortunately the few bad/ugly ones we posses are loosing jokers, imagine if you can correct these ugly traits, sum it up with the good ones, you are gonna be a better person! Forgive my long write-up ooo, I can't help it, I talk for long a lot, and the old mates here are used to it.
Every single trait you've mentioned in your post are typical of most cancerians, but thanks to God we are always so good to people that they tend to understand these things as part of us. My pleasure having you thinking of improving on them, believe me you have taken the greatest step already; that of accepting these traits as "defectious", though the step remained to be actualised, I'm saying this because, we cancerians, though pure conservs, we detect the need for change and accept change naturally but it is always very hard for us to get moving the change, I pray God be with us all in our efforts to amend these traits. The love for the indoor defines our love for being alone, unfortunately, safety from being misunderstood, being hurt, being taken for granted, being rejected, as it guarantees us, the price to pay for this "Lone" affection is enormous as I've discussed with our mates in previous posts, it is always a story of taking 3 steps forward and taking 4 backwards after, it kills the talent cancer in us; I mean, we have a talent that we developed, most times in solitude, unfortunately, we never give ourselves the chance to showcase this talent, and the cause; it is either you are too shy to perform in public, or you fear too much to see your act been rejected or rather after summoning the courage to perform in public, you didn't perform to expectation, so you crawl back and never come out to express this talent even though you have corrected the mistakes and improved largely on it, or we spend so much time indoor and eventually waving the idea off saying we will do it another time, or as we have it in case of most cancer guys, we keep our comfort zones, indoor, playing PS games, always like, "let me finish this session and I will go, but then another session starts and another and then you are late" and funny enough, you hear us say, "omo mehnnn, I don miss this thing today sha, anyway, anoda opportunity go show" and we continue the game, believe me, we are never lazy, we just don't seem to ever be in a hurry for a new thing, most especially if we have one we are hanging on to! Another thing hormordunneey wrote that caught my attention most is walking out of realtionships easily, however, it is not only in relationships, it happened to me even on jobs and groups, one of the reasons sometimes could be the fact that I can't stand the neglecting and unsincere attitude of a partner or a boss towards me or my mates, it puts me off, cancerians love loyalty a great deal, so when u see your partner as not being great with loyalty, or your boss not being compassionate, even though it is not towards you, you feel cheated too because he is cheating your collegues or friends, you tell him (the boss) to f**k off; forgive my language, but we forget that things can't always go our ways, the effect of this attitude of turning our backs every time we sense insecurity is that we become more and more unstable, that being my own biggest problems over the years, today I'm here, tomorrow I'm there and next tommorrow I'm somewhere else again, and like that, the chance of early success is very slim, on that too, I'm working, as it affects many aspects of my life, love, work, abilities, talent, accomodation...etc. I think what is needed of us is accepting that every body can't be cancerian in nature, compromising and embracing others' dirty attitudes to a certain scale, but mostly, realizing that we can't change some things, they might seem immoral to us but we just have to let the urge and quest for moral and justice lay low sometimes, after all we always turn out to be the loosers in most cases, for example, I left a job because my boss wasn't appreciative enough to me and unjust towards my collegues, this always bring issues and eventually mistrust between me and my boss, finally I resigned but I "suffer like winch", 6 months out of jobs, got demoted in terms of accomadation, but funny enough, those for whom I fought didn't resign, while I roam the streets of Lagos in search of a job, spending my account dry, they were steadily working, some of them even got promoted and even worse, most of them didn't even deem it fit to call me over the matter, I lost it all, they won it all! So other mates who has the same problem as hormordunneey and I over walking off easily should think it twice before walking away, if you don't seem to be the head and will probably be the looser, then accept and live while you work towards being fulfilled. not exactly, hormordunneey, though some seems not that good, there is no single trait that can't be channeled positively if you are conscious of it. and if you go deeper in reading about cancer as a sign, you will realize that it is the best sign of all 12, and that is why we are creating some kind of awareness on this forum so we all can learn more about these "not too good traits" and make amendment where possible, imagine the result. kindly share with us what you consider as not too good trait you posses, some of us will surely learn from it. rukky used to be a procastinator, i used to be too, me plus having an excessive love for the indoor, it is all changing now though. please be free

procastination is one of my habit and shyness, but hv do away with them. once I set my mind on doing thing- I make sure I do it immediately. i think we should always abide by dis rules . i was a good quitter and procrastinator who always prefer to postpone things which ought to be done immediately! i shy away from any leadership roles , but found out that am a better and capable leader if forced or given a trial. and also found out that pple are always eager and willing to listen and be a friend! so frds lets always do away with our worries and open up! we neva can say! our fate and opportunities lays in our hands.

Thanks Rukky for the contribution, it is really enlightening. I hope others will follow suit in narrating their experience so we can all learn. I think one of our biggest problems generally as cancerians is procastination, hardly have I ever heard of a cancer born who doesn't procastinate, thriving to shed it off may take sometime, in fact, to be sincere, a life time for some, but once you become conscious of it and accept that it hinders your progress, then you are on the right path. Shyness like Rukky wrote too is known of a greater percentage of cancer born, sometimes you just feel like you are the only one being watched on the street, sometimes you just don't wanna ask for help, not because of pride, but because of our insatiable thirst to hold on to our dignity, I remember I would say to myself, if they don't give me what I requested of them, it would be too much of a shame for me, I know we love carrying our own crosses, never wanting to bother others about our troubles, but the fact is that a situation that is supposed to last 3 days sometimes last as long as it takes us to settle it, like Rukky advised, let start opening up so we can get help when needed, after all these people won't hesitate before asking for your help if they need it. Please let's open up, so others can learn from experience.

I think sometimes habits can be copied due to long interaction with individuals exhibiting such habits. I also have a February-born childhood friend( childhood here is around 23 years ago) who exhibit some of this Zodiac signs and one thing I noticed about myself is that, I tend to influence people a lot.

Cancerians are very influential people, many takes us for not being sharp, failing to see that we are just "easy-doers" so we can give the best and we never lack in that, we may come last as par time rating, but always produce the best of work, making the time spent worth, those who sees this good trait in us clings to us, so much sometimes they want to be like us and copy what makes us unique. And I didn't study astro ooo, it is just that I was so curious about 1 or 2 things about myself and I got the answer thru reading more and more of the articles on my sign. To answer the question now in my own way, first, we are all humans, so character/habit can be acquired as much as it could be a natural thing in different individuals, though some characters are quite peculiar to some individuals/group. for example, while you have a habit of procastination in most cancerian individuals, some other zodiac signs don't/never exhibit this trait, while we cancerians are naturally shy and never wanting to take the first and fresh step in love (cancerians prefers the step by step system, we get to know each other slowly and proceed to the next step when it is time) or sometimes in decision making, others zodiac may posses particularly the "forward type" character, we tend too to like the backdoor role, we being the biggest performer/contributor, but prefer staying behind the limelight, in as much as the work is done and appreciated. some other zodiacs craves to be seen at the front, making their present and participation in the project known. so we can have different zodiacs sharing same characters/traits together, but there is that peculiar traits other won't have, like there will be certain traits that is peculiar to others that cancerians don't posses. Another factor that brings about that is the "curb" factor, where an individual born towards the end of a preceding zodiac month to a particular zodiac sign or born at the beginning of a succeeding zodiac month after a particular zodiac sign, "picks" from the zodiac month's traits, respectively. For example, Cancer is 21 june to 22 july, people born around 18-20th of june and those born around 23-27 july tends to posses some of the traits a cancerian will exhibit, just like you as a cancerian can pick from them too. Actually, it is a broad subject, but I just do some sort of summary here. even in the cancerian sign, we are still divided into three different categories, each group slightly different from the other, that why u see a cancerian having an uncommom character, so dont be surprised to see that, it happens that way, the best is to learn more about one's self, capitalise/improve on the good traits and make amendment on the less suitable ones. No Cancerian would allow anyone to take him/her for granted. In fact it is even more than that, despite cancerians being generally generous and "extra" tolerant, they never believe in "one way love". If a cancerian shows you love as a family or as a friend and you don't show that much, he is gone before you know it, he is just gonna be like: afte rall I feel safer being with myself, your spirit go just dull, your mood go just flatten.

Welcome to my reality bro, I see myself clearly in you. That's exactly what I'm like, man. I love art too, can draw like mad and do a lot of creative stuff with my hand, infact I developed into graphic designing and photography, although, I waited a bit too long to exploit that talent, but better a bit late than never. You never noticed these things much because they are part of you. Sometimes people don't realise who or what they are like until their attention is drawn to it. You don know be that ooo bros, abeg explore that talent and rationalise your shyness. Now, being a cancerian and possessing these traits is our best luck and gift from nature, because it keeps us in check, no wonder, we are much more still on track morally/respectfully than most people today, there are some things we just can't do, some things we just can't say, some topics we just can't participate in, some activities we just can't engage in, all because they don't seem deep enough for us or they seem too immoral for us. These (introvert, shy) keeps us from waywardness till we are mature enough to fight. But we need to fight against excess though or else we miss it all. Just be cancerian in your fight, I will never change it for any other sign! Lailai!!!

Like I wrote earlier, people under the influence of a common zodiac sign exhibits generally some identical characters, the same here with me. Stays indoors a lot too and fears rejection of any kind. However, as I grow more conscious of those facts, I understand how it had been affecting me, and I have thrived a lot to amend. Staying indoor limits our connections and even so much our capacities, remember, we are more a practical and creative people, some times a cancerian can't explain what he can do in words, give him the avenue to prove him or herself and u r gonna be surprised, even though we care more for others than for ourselves, we need to be helped too, but we are never gonna receive that much attention/help and be able to showcase properly this wonderful gifts or be known for it if we keep staying indoor, another of it effects on us is that it is the reason most people looking at us from "outside", sees us sometimes as lazy or a bunch of self centered people, they think we care less of them, since it is only them who do the visiting, if only they knew we are not only the most appreciative/receptors of care but the most giver of care and love without asking much in return except to be loved back, no cancerian ever believed in the philosophy of "one way love". I noticed you don't care sentimentally about me and I'm surely gone before you even noticed it. And as for the fear of rejection factor, we need to take the risk, people naturally loves cancerians, we just care too much sometimes, it will surprise you how the people you feared might reject you will ask you why it took you so long before showing up, because you are beautiful and kind and shares more, maybe not that bold, especially when new with them but of course you will settle in once you get accustomed to them. When I look into the past today, I regret so many things I've missed professionally and sentimentally simply because I feared something that was never there. Ladies I've missed because I feared they would reject me tells me today how great the crunch they had on me but had to assume I wasn't feeling them because I never showed interests. Don't wanna miss that again. Lailai!
