Is it not public knowledge that Wike made people Senators in Rivers state? Which of the Senators can tell Wike that he is bigger. If Senators were bigger than ministers or others, we should have heard senators in Lagos state over the years boasting that they are bigger than BAT. The braggart was busy boasting as if he is sure that he can even return in 2027. Aside from Natasha’s event, who knew his name in the Senate? Has he presented bills so far?

He was barely out of secondary school, seeking university admission when Ezekwesili was a minister. With his senatorial cv, can he find his way to the top of the world bank like Ezekwesili? Can he hold any grounds with economic gurus?

The Vice-Chancellor of Alex Ekwueme Federal University Ndufu - Alike, Ebonyi State, Professor Sunday Elom has commissioned 130 plastic waste bins to combat plastic pollution and promote a safer environment on campus under the auspices of the French Embassy Fund (EFP).


While speaking at the commissioning ceremony, the Vice-Chancellor who was represented by his deputy in charge of Administration, Professor Abel Ezeoha said that it is important to take the initiative of keeping the campus clean, adding that it cannot be achieved without critical stakeholders such as Management, Deans, Directors and Heads of Departments of the institution working together with students to make the initiative a success.

He noted that the plastic waste bins would be distributed round the campus, adding that staff especially Faculty officers would take up the responsibility of securing the bins in their various faculties, pointing out that those who flout the rules on proper waste disposal on campus would be penalized.




The coordinator and team lead of the university Waste to Wealth Initiative, Professor Robert Onyeneke said that the bins would go a long way in combating plastic waste in the university, and urged that the plastic waste be handled in such a way that the bins would serve its purpose.

He further stated that each of the waste bins is 250 litters in size, stressing that it would be strategically located and situated around the campus, covering different units, departments and faculties, and promised to organize sensitization programmes in the university on how to collect, sort and dispose plastic waste.

Wike promised to cause trouble in states where the Governors are against him. One of such states is Bayelsa. The other is Bauchi.

One day, very soon, he will be out of power like many others before him.

I pray that Fubara should make peace with president and Wike so that he can comeback after six months.

I think by the time the Governor returns, he will find himself working with and surrounded by people he didn't appoint.

I also suspect that as part of the settlement deal for his return, he will have to agree to appoint a certain number of Commissioners, and key political appointees nominated by the Wike side.

There's also a good chance that Mr Fubara will meet a new Chief Justice.

The local governments too will most certainly not be under his control.

All of these will leave a returned Mr Fubara defenestrated, and more or less toothless. In office but not in power. He will still be able to govern, but only on terms acceptable to, and probably dictated by the Wike side.

If the above plays out as I speculate, Mr Fubara will have been on the receiving end of one of the most ruthless political beatings ever ditched out to a Governor since 1999.

They are slowly building a case of corruption against Fubara. Part of the reason for the dwmand of financial papers from the local government administrators. Next will be to arrest him by the EFCC after they would have implicated him in different cases of misappropriation of funds. The Lagos ibadam express way mercenary press houses will then finish hom off for Tinubu and Wike. That way, the socalled "initial six months" emergency period will be made permanent. Fubara is not going back to that seat, unless something huge happens politically..
