Your mindset is not good. My advice for you is to quit that job immediately or take a leave to go recalibrate your mental health and have it drilled into your psyche that the top is never crowded.

Now that you have an opportunity to learn how to sell, sieze the opportunity to be truly willing to learn and seek guidance/ mentorship from those doing well in same task you are struggling with. At the top of most organizations, regardless of the profession, is a Chief Salesman/Saleswoman.
