Nigerian authorities should even use this opportunity to work with Pentagon for targeted strikes on the bandits.

For me, this present a new vista of opportunity that BAT should employ to route out the bandits. Nigerian armed forces do not possess the drone capabilities required to monitor and gather intelligence for precision strikes. This is what Washington wants to provide and the Nigerian authorities should work with them to map out and delineate areas for strikes.

What I would not support is unilateral strike on Nigeria by external forces. This would amount to an insult on the sovereignty of Nigeria. Something must have gone wrong for White to totally ignore Abuja in this their military action on bandits. There is still more to this story than we are seeing. Something must have triggered Washington.
