She survived the bombing of her village in Vietnam through the help of a war photographer that helped rushed her to the hospital.


After the war in Vietnam, she immigrated to Canada in the Toronto area, she attended university to become a pharmacist, and she got married and, as you can see in the picture below, she became a mother with the big scar.

If you Google her name; Kim Phùc, there has been a few documentaries about her life.


Currently, she lives in Mississauga, just outside of Toronto, Canada. She published a book called, “The Girl in the Picture,” and she does speaking engagements all throughout Southern Ontario.


She was on CBS Morning show one day and shared her story of how she went to a plastic surgeon for help with painful scarring. The plastic surgeon said to her it would be my honor to treat you!
