How much is direct follow come manifold with working catalyst converter.? . Not the one the has been worked on pls. My car is Camry 05 4 cylinder.

Good evening. How reliable is a catalyst converter worked with either a new or tokunbo catalyst. Does it remove the check engine light.
My panel beater says the don't last, hence he wants to work a pipe inside the manifold till I have enough money to do a whole replacement
. Pls give me you take on this. ASAP!

Good afternoon. I drive a Camry 2005 4vcylinder.
My catalyst just got damaged. That's the one in the infold . I can't afford a new a new one at the moment which is about 150- 200k.
Hence, my panel beater is recommending running a pipe through the manifold,
Just want to ask people's opinion on this pls help.
It is empty at the moment. The whole content has been evacuated.
