About 15 to 20 cargoes of Nigerian crude oil from the April loading programme remain unsold despite the cut in selling prices. Some of those cargoes are expected to be absorbed by oil majors’ own refining systems, according to Reuters. The official selling prices of a basket of May-loading crude oil grades were reduced as buyers were reportedly largely reluctant to pick up cargoes offered at and above a premium of $2 compared to dated Brent. Major grades, including Bonny Light and Qua Iboe, Forcados and Escravos, saw a decrease of around 20 to 25 cents compared with April. The nation’s crude oil has had a difficult time clearing in recent weeks, as offer levels were too high to attract buying interest from European refineries. Reuters reported on Tuesday that June-loading cargoes were being offered at relatively high prices: Qua Iboe at a $2.50 premium to dated Brent, Bonga at $3.75, Forcados at between $2.80 and $3.00, and Yoho at $2.40. Royal Dutch Shell said on Monday it had declared force majeure on exports of Nigeria’s major Bonny Light stream after the closure of one of two export pipelines, while Amenam, operated by Total, is also under force majeure, trading sources said. Traders said Bonny Light was still pumping, though not at 100 per cent capacity. Asian demand for West African crude was said to be robust, but European buyers cited significant backwardation and squeezed margins in asserting that the offers were too high. In a related development, oil supply by the Organisation of Petroleum Exporting Countries hit a four-year low in April, a Reuters survey found, due to further involuntary declines in sanctions-hit Iran and Venezuela and output restraint by top exporter Saudi Arabia. The 14-member OPEC pumped 30.23 million barrels per day in April, the survey showed, down 90,000 bpd from March and the lowest OPEC total since 2015. OPEC, Russia and other non-members, an alliance known as OPEC+, agreed in December to reduce supply by 1.2 million bpd from January 1. OPEC’s share of the cut is 800,000 bpd, to be delivered by 11 members – all except Iran, Libya and Venezuela. In April, the 11 OPEC members bound by the agreement achieved 132 per cent of pledged cuts, the survey found, compared to 145 per cent in March, due to higher production in Nigeria and small increases in Saudi Arabia and Iraq. OPEC’s biggest production gain occurred in Nigeria, where Total’s Egina field has helped boost output. Libya, the third producer exempted from making voluntary curbs, also boosted output. Nigeria says the Egina field produces condensate, a type of light oil excluded from the OPEC cuts. The survey includes the field based on Total’s listing of it as a crude producer. cameraeyesblog.com |
A policeman who was hired by his fellow police friend to impregnate his wife, dragged to court over failure to do so after trying 77 times. A Dar-es-Salaam, Tanzanian Court must decide on a honorable intentions in the case where one Darius Makambako, 50, with his wife Precious 45, who really wanted to have a child, but were told by a renowned doctor they could not, because the husband was sterile, sought help outside. After being childless for six years, the couple was said to have taken the only option available, by seeking the intervention of a third party, which made, Makambako, a member of the Tanzanian Police Force (Traffic Department), to invite his friend to do the job. After calming his wife’s protests, Makambako, reportedly hired his neighbor Evans Mastano, 52, a fellow police officer in the country’s commercial city to impregnate his wife. Since Evans was already married and the father of two beautiful daughters, plus looked very much like Darius to the boot, the plan seemed good. Makambako paid Mastano 2,000,000 Tanzanian Shillings (equivalent to K10,000) for the job and for three evenings a week for the next 10 months in 2016. Evans tried desperately, a total 77 different times to impregnate his friend’s wife Precious but failed. Reports say Precious a nurse at a private clinic had decided to get a three months vacation leave (March to June 2016) to dedicate her time to sleeping with her husband’s best friend and neighbor in order to have her first child, but the man failed to impregnate her despite the husband leaving them in bed the whole day in most times. And when Precious failed to get pregnant for 10 months, however, Makambako was not understanding and insisted that Evans have a medical examination, which he did in January 2017. The doctor’s pronouncement that Evans Mastano was also sterile shocked everyone except his wife, who was forced to confess that Evans was not the real father of her two children, but his cousin Edward. Quote “I was forced to secretly sleep with her first cousin for these two children after realizing that my husband could not impregnate me for two years”, Angela told the Dar-es-Salaam Today News. Now Makamboko is suing Evans for breach of contract in an effort to get his money back, but Evans refuses to give it up because he said he did not guarantee conception, but only that he would give an honest effort. cameraeyesblog.com |
THE Bauchi State government, at the weekend, closed the Sa’adu Zungur Model Primary and Secondary School in Bauchi, the state capital, over illegal marriages among senior students in the school. The closure order, which also affected the primary section of the school, it was gathered, was given on Friday by the state deputy governor, Nuhu Gidado, who doubles as the Commissioner for Education, following a report received by the government on the illegal marriages among the students. According to a press statement issued by his Special Assistant on Communications, Yakubu Adamu, the deputy governor attributed the illegal marriages among the students to moral decadence in the society. Gidado stated the school would remain closed until a committee set up by the state government to investigate the matter came up with a detailed report and recommendations. The Nigerian Tribune gathered that the illegal act among the students, said to have been rampant among them despite the fact that both male and female students had separate classrooms for learning, blew open last week during one of such illegal marriages. It was further learnt that teachers in the school got to know about the act when a senior secondary (SS) 2 student organised one of such wedding ceremonies in the school premises to his alleged lover, also a senior student of the school. The noise and cheers from jubilant co-students amidst the fun were said to have drawn the attention of the teachers, who rushed to find out what was happening only to discover that a ‘wedding’ ceremony was taking place between the two students. They, however, reported their finding to the school’s principal, Mallam Ahmed Zailani, who in turn reported to the Ministry of Education with a view to taking appropriate sanction against the erring students. Investigation revealed that male students used to pay N500 as bride price to their would-be ‘wife’ who are also students of the school as a condition for solemnisation of their marriages. It further revealed that the ‘couples’ classmates also contributed money to buy snacks to eat during such ‘wedding’ ceremonies. http://cameraeyesblog.com |
Lee Rigby killer wants to serve rest of his sentence in Nigerian jail Despite being born in Britain, one of Lee Rigby’s killers is reportedly making a bid to serve the rest of his sentence in a Nigerian jail with a VIP wing. 37-year-old Michael Adebowale, who is serving a 45 year jail term for the 2013 murder, was born in Britain but has Nigerian parents. He is currently behind bars in HMP Wakefield, but he is believed to be seeking a prisoner-swap deal. The Sun reports that he plans to seek a transfer to Lagos’ Kirikiri jail where then-Foreign Secretary, Boris Johnson, agreed to pay for a new £700,000 wing in 2014. . A source told the newspaper: “Michael hates Wakefield. It’s stuffed full of lags who see him as a top target. He thinks he can spend the rest of his sentence in Africa.” The Sun also reported that Adebowale has written to immigration experts asking for advice. But it is thought that his bid would fail because he was not born in Nigeria. He and his friend, Michael Adebolajo hacked Mr Rigby, 25, to death by his barracks in Woolwich, south-east London, in 2013. Cameraeyesblog.com |
Kogi APC stakeholders reject Bello for second term, petition Buhari. Stakeholders in the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kogi State have sent a petition to President Muhammadu Buhari against fielding Governor Yahaya Bello for second term in office. . They said Bello has received about N344billion in the last 38 months he has been in charge of the state. They said the governor has been owing salaries, pensions and gratuities without any visible capital projects on ground anywhere in the state. . They described Bello as non- performing and violent governor in the past three and a half years. The stakeholders accused the governor of wasteful and fraudulent use of funds. . They made their position known in the petition signed by the Convener of the Kogi APC Stakeholders Forum, Sen. (Dr.) Alex Kadiri. The petition reads in part: “Governor Yahaya Bello was never elected by the good people of Kogi State. “The death of Abubakar Audu made it possible for Bello to be Kogi State Governor. . “He has shown everyone that he lacks leadership abilities. He can’t fight for the rights and privileges of Kogi people. “We request you to step down your support for the candidature of Governor Yahaya Bello for the forthcoming election in Kogi State. “If the party fields him as a candidate, we are sure of losing the state to the opposition.” . The stakeholders gave insights into how the governor allegedly mismanaged statutory allocations meant for the state. . They said: “For the past 38 months including February 2019 Gov. Yahaya Bello has not paid full salaries to the workers of Kogi State, despite the fact that the state received full allocation from Federation Account as detailed below: Statutory allocation, Excess Crude and VAT(N132b); Internally Generated Revenue by the state(N51b); total allocations to local governments(N111b). . “Total funds received by the state and local governments: N294 billion. The other funds received by the state are as below: Bail Out (N20b); Paris Club refunds 1, 2, and 3 (N19b); and refunds for road construction by previous governments (N11b). . “The governor had conducted multiple staff screening for both the state and the local governments. And from the Report of the screening, the Monthly wage bill (state, local governments and pensions) at the inception of the administration stood at N5.8 billion. After screening, this figure reduced to N4.4 Billion. . “From table above it is evidently clear that the total revenue received by the state Government was more than enough to settle all salaries, pensions and gratuities with huge balance remaining for overheads and capital projects. . “It is very instructive to note that even without bailout and other funds received outside statutory allocation, Gov. Yahaya Bello could have still paid all salaries including pensions without conducting multiple screening and inflicting pains on Kogi State and Local Government workers. . This must hurt APC at the polls. “Even after the screening, all salaries and pensions payments were paid using arbitrary percentages, thereby still owing workers huge outstanding salaries.” . The stakeholders said they had tried to seek presidential and party interventions to call Bello to order without success. . They added: “We respectfully write to bring to your esteemed attention, the following facts and issues associated with our party and the governor of Kogi State. . “We had earlier, during the life of your administration petitioned against our governor, Yahaya Bello, on several occasions. . “The party, as a result, set up the Tony Momoh Committee to work on the issues in our petitions in Kogi State APC. . “The result of this committee’s work is kept secret in the cooler without the party or the government addressing any of the issues to date. . “Another committee was setup under the Chairmanship of General Garba. We appeared before the committee, and made far reaching recommendations, till this day, that report is still also kept secret and under lock and key and no action taken by the party. . “Late last year, we were invited to another meeting with His Excellency, the Vice President Yemi Osinbajo. We are, again, waiting for the outcome of that meeting. . “The Vice President prevailed on us to participate fully in the elections slated for early this year with the promise that our grievances were to be looked into, and addressed. . “In obedience and respect for the Vice President, we participated fully in the just-concluded elections and ensured the party was victorious in all the elections. . “However, we are today, back to where we were prior to the elections without any response or actions on our discussions with the Vice President. . “From the foregoing we will like to restate the issues that Governor Yahaya Bello has traumatized, inflicted poverty and fear on our people. . “People who dare to raise their voice to complain or protest this mistreatment have been summarily killed or intimidated to the extent that a reign of terror is foisted on the people of the state. . “We feel strongly that the traumatised people of Kogi State and most especially the APC family have had enough of Yahaya Bello. . ‘We feel very strongly that attempting to foist this non- performing and violent Governor as candidate by the party and or the powers that be, will be a great national disservice and will lead to the loss of the state to the opposition in the forthcoming governorship election. . “The APC, of which you are the Leader, must have the courage to say no to Yahaya Bello’s desire to remain Governor of Kogi State for history will judge all of us for all our actions and inactions where and when we had the authority and opportunity to effect a positive change in the affairs of men.” cameraeyesblog.com |

Leaked Audio Exposes Amnesty Boss Dokubo's Plans To 'Steal' N4.88bn "The money is a total of N4.88 billion. I think the one they are particular about is the N1.8billion. First of all, they awarded it as a distribution contract and I said 'no, how can you award N1.8billion to one person and there was no Tenders Board'? I don’t know when the contract was awarded. As a DFA, I am a statutory member of the tender board. I don’t know when it was awarded. And awarding N1.8billion contract to one person is against the majority interest of the Niger Delta People. I told them if it is, I would not put my hand there; I would not pay.". cameraeyesblog.com |
It breaks my heart each time I see little children who are brought to our neurology clinic here in UBTH because of speech difficulties, mental retardation, drooling of saliva, epilepsy and all other forms of seizures they are suffering because their parents, mothers especially, insisted on vaginal delivery when it was obvious it would not happen. Every mother wants to put to bed like the legendary 'Hebrew women', but let me tell you, there's no shame in putting to bed via caesarean delivery (commonly called CS or operation). As a matter of fact, there are women - some of who could even be reading this post - who as it stands right now, even though they are not yet married, will never be delivered of any baby vaginally. It must be CS! Many have contracted pelvis (pelvis with smaller than expected diameters) or inadequate pelvis. Beyond this, for fear of CS, some of you enroll in maternity homes with little or no knowledge of active management of labour (so you can save money) and then end up having a child who will be an OLODO for life due to prolonged labour and its sequelae. The child I clerked yesterday was so bad that he was in KG 1 even though he was 8 YEARS OLD. Yet he kept coming last in his class in the same KG 1. He'd been having seizures since birth. The mother laboured for 3 days! Three frigging days! She didn't want CS because she's a 'Hebrew woman' and then following obstructed labour, baby had 3+ caput (swelling of the scalp) and extensive moulding of 3+ (inseparable overlap of the skull bones). The boy's head was so small that his occipitofrontal circumference (head size) was 43cm (as against 54-58cm). This means that his head size at 8 years was that of a 5- to 6-month-old child. Biko the brain stops developing when a child becomes 7 years old. That's when it attains adult size! This boy didn't even cry after birth, later developed what doctors call hypoxic ischaemic encephalopathy (HIE), a severe complication because the brain was starved of enough oxygen and blood as the head squeezed through the vagina during the prolonged labour. The mother totally DAMAGED her son during labour and now the young man is paying for a sin he did not commit. He keeps drooling saliva and with the epilepsy, he will be on medications for life. And he may never be a normal child. Pls don't tell me that CS is costly, I know. But now ask yourself, if you were this boy's mother and had the opportunity to do it all over again, what would you do? Damage your son for life because of cost or pay the money and have a normal child who could be the next Albert Einstein or president of Nigeria? As a mother, you may never forgive yourself. I'm really mad. Ezigbote iwe na ewem! The truth has to be told Maka n'de in-laws and mother in-laws and Ignorant Prophets,Pastors and ministries. cameraeyesblog.com |
A crisis is brewing in Bayelsa State over a bill passed by the House of Assembly approving life pension for all past and current members of the legislature . It was learnt that stakeholders in the state , including civil society organisations and political parties are preparing to protest. The House of Assembly had triggered anger last Wednesday when it hurriedly passed the bill sponsored by the Leader of the House , Peter Akpe . The bill approved N 500 , 000 post - service monthly pension to a speaker of the assembly , while a deputy speaker will receive N 200, 000 and a member N 100 , 000 . The swift passage of the bill by the lawmakers without conducting any public hearing angered most indigenes, who accused Governor Seriake Dickson of being the person behind the bill. They perceive Akpe as a very close ally to the governor, having been a leader of the House . As such, Akpe is said to have sponsored most of the executive bills in the House . Read More : APC condemns bill on life pension for Bayelsa Assembly members A source at the Government House said the governor may assent to the bill very soon , not minding the protest from the people of the state . According to the source , Governor Dickson may have been the one who sponsored the bill to assuage the bitter feelings of some party members, including the current Speaker , Benson Konbewie , and Peter Akpe , who lost out in the last election. While the speaker lost the House of Representatives seat to the All Progressives Congress (APC’ s ) Preye Oseke for the Southern Ijaw constituency, Akpe lost in the primaries of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP ), and therefore will not be coming back to the House . The Guardian learnt that to make matter worse, the Government House has been silent over the controversy trailing the passage of the bill, making observers to believe that the governor may sign it soon . The source said the governor and principal officers of the House had several closed- door meetings before and after the passage of the bill, fueling speculation that the bill is as good as a ‘goal ’ . But civil society organisations and the opposition APC are not relenting in their bid to stop the bill with a planned massive but peaceful protest in the state capital , beginning from today. According to the chairman of the state Civil Liberty Organization (CLO ), Nengi James , the bill will not hold as it is against the collective wish of the people. He described it as draconian, murderous and of no public interest “ and so will be resisted not only through public protest but through intellectual discourse and other means possible .” A former secretary of the CLO and coordinator of the planned protest, Morris Alagoa, said the action was necessary to tell the government that all was not well with the bill. “ You may play to the gallery and even display your ignorance in grand style . Every other Bayelsan seems to be asking why groups , institutions and individuals are silent about the recently/secretly passed lawmakers ’ pension bill by the Bayelsa State House of Assembly . “ But I tell you , those waking up three days or more after the roguish bill was passed to ask the question (above) are insincere to themselves and seem to be taking delight in playing to the gallery. “ Except some institutions and groups , I have never seen anything in recent times that has united Bayelsans like this vexing pension for lawmakers , not just on social media , but on the print and electronic media , apart from the state government -owned media outfits for obvious reasons . “ Bayelsans of different walks of life have been venting their disapproval and anger at the action of the lawmakers since the bill was passed. And the condemnation has been total. Bayelsans will march in unison on the streets and roads of Yenagoa against the obnoxious and anti- people bill. “ The electorate are the employers and that is why provision for recall is made in the electoral laws. The coalition does not want any political colouration as far as this is concerned , it is just Bayelsa people rising for Bayelsa .” Some APC faithful are also planning their own protest on the streets of Yenagoa today. Though details were sketchy yesterday, the organisers, who do not want their names in print , said the protest would be massive and total One of the organisers said : “ The people need to exercise their right of expression as guaranteed by the constitution and democracy . So, consultations are on. ” A chieftain of the APC, Preye Aganaba , described the bill as self - centered , insensitive , preposterous and a sad reflection of the inordinate desire of the lawmakers for self - enrichment. Meanwhile, the Socio- Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP ) has sent an open letter to Governor Dickson , urging him to reject the proposed life pension bill. The group also asked the governor to use his office as the “ trustee of the state ’ s resources and consistent with your constitutional oath of office , to prevail upon the House to immediately withdraw the self - serving bill.” SERAP , in a statement by its deputy director , Kolawole Oluwadare said : “ Public officials have a legal commitment to discharge a public duty truthfully and faithfully. Should you assent to the bill as proposed , SERAP will institute legal proceedings to challenge the legality of the legislation and ensure full compliance with constitutional provisions and Nigeria ’ s international anti - corruption obligations . “ The bill amounts to an incorrect and improper performance of public functions. It’s clearly an abuse of legislative functions by the lawmakers. Rather than sponsoring bills that would improve access of children in Bayelsa to quality education, the lawmakers are taking advantage of their entrusted public positions to propose a bill to collect large severance benefits . ” According to the organisation , the lawmakers are clearly the major beneficiaries under the proposed legislation . Therefore, by passing the life pension bill, SERAP said , Bayelsa State lawmakers have violated the constitutional and international prohibitions on conflicts of interest. The letter read in part : “ The people of Bayelsa would expect you , as their governor , to use your entrusted public office to act in the public interest, including by rejecting the life pension bill and prevailing upon the House of Assembly to immediately drop the bill.” The group stressed that conflicts of interest as well as perceptions of such conflicts would undermine public confidence in the integrity and honesty of not only the Bayelsa State House of Assembly but also Dickson ’s government , if urgent action was not taken to prevail upon the House to drop the bill. The Trade Union Congress of Nigeria (TUC) cautioned the House of Assembly against the proposed life pension . If passed, they argued that the new bill would repeal the existing pensions for governor and deputy governor law of 2003. They called on the state legislature to drop the idea , vowing not to leave any stone unturned in its fight for good governance and accountability forthwith . In a statement yesterday by its president , Bobboi Kaigama and Secretary General, Musa - Lawal Ozigi , TUC described the development as the height of impunity, insult and a deliberate attempt to widen the scope of fraudulent activities by politicians in the state . cameraeyesblog.com |
The founder and Leader of Heaven's Gate Ministry, Prophet Kumchacha who stated that he is neither a one - minute man nor one of those men who are lazy in bed and are unable to satisfy their partners, has revealed that the world would come to an end if he doesn't have sex in a day. He has revealed that he has a total of 35 romantic sex styles, he added that they are meant for the satisfaction of his wife and also for himself. Unlike some men who would shy away from openly discussing their sex lifestyle; he described himself as a sex addict. The pastor also doubted that if any woman who doesn't like too much sex can be his partner. Prophet Kumchacha who said the world would end if he doesn't have sex in a day said. I have 35 sex styles; so you can't be my wife and say you are tired of having sex. No matter how tired you are you must avail yourself to me anytime I want it. Recall that few days ago, the Ghanian pastor said any Lady who screams God or the name of Jesus Christ while having sex will end up in hell, The cleric while appearing on a live program on UTV, said: Whether you are making love with your husband or boyfriend, once you scream the name of God or Christ Jesus in the act, there's no way you will not go to hell. The North should retain power in 2023. National President, Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore, Abdullahi Bodejo, has dismissed the possibility of the former governor of Lagos State, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu succeeding President Muhammadu Buhari in 2023. In this interview with The Sun, he spoke on a number of issues and stated that power will still remain in the North after Buhari. What is your reaction to the claim by some people that Buhari having won his election is indifferent to all these killings? People can say all sorts of things. If Buhari is not concerned about the situation, why did he direct the Army to go there to stop the killings? Even we, sometimes, we are not happy the way the president is giving directive to go there and operate. He should make sure that the real criminals there are fished out and dealt with. The truth is that some people who lost the last election are saying all kinds of things and they will never say Buhari is doing well. But I know that Buhari is trying to do the right things; remember that Buhari will not go and carry out his orders himself in the bush where all these things are happening. Do you agree with those who insist that all these killings are because of the high level of poverty in your region and that Buhari is not doing enough to reduce the scourge? Is Buhari the governor of Kebbi, Kaduna, Borno and other parts of the North? The governors get allocations and they should all use that to tackle the problems of their state. It is only the Federal Government that people can make a noise about. The president is in charge of the Federal Government; let the governors also take charge of their states. Some prominent voices in the North are already projecting that after President Buhari that power will not come down to the Southern region; do you support the North retaining power in 2023? Yes, power is going to remain in the North. Tell me one person in the South that is nationally accepted that can rule Nigeria like Buhari? The people who made Nigeria what it is today are from the North. People like Awolowo and Zik tried but where are such people in the South now? That time, they were patriotic and they did not allow themselves to be deceived with the issues of religion and ethnicity. They were patriotic and they believed in Nigeria. But most of the people now from the South who say they want to be president of Nigeria are not patriotic. They are selfish. Most politicians from the North are concerned about the unity of Nigeria and how to keep the country together, and not what they will gain from the position. God forbid that some kind of people would start ruling the country; I see some people that if you give them power, they can just concentrate everything in one area. You are by implication saying that if a Southerner takes over from Buhari that he may just concentrate appointments and infrastructural developments in the South but that is the same thing the president is being accused of with regards to privileges to the North Let me tell you the truth; in Nigeria, nobody can operate like Buhari. Even if another president comes from the North, he will not be able to lead like Buhari. He gives the people a sense of belonging and not considering anybody as more important than the other. He does not consider people based on tribe, royalty, status and so on; everything he does is based on merit. Nobody can copy or replicate what Buhari is doing. From the way you are sounding, is it that you do not believe in the rotation of power between the North and South? Do you know that if you go to some parts of the South, if they see an Hausa man, they would say he is a Boko Haram member or derogatorily, they will say ‘Onye Hausa’. That kind of hatred has been there among some Southerners. It will be difficult for the Igbo to rule this country because they have something in their mind that is not good. The country is more than a tribe coming to hate some ethnic region, religion and so on. They should know that Nigeria is one. The South West has been supporting Buhari, and power brokers from the region were instrumental to the formation of the APC and the President’s victory in 2015. Why are you not in support of power going to the South West? You are talking about 2015; it has passed and is now history. Remember that former President Olusegun Obasanjo ruled the country for eight years. In 2019, the South West gave Buhari 50 per cent of their votes and you say they should be supported to be president. They played real politics in 2019. I am not a politician but they played the real game of politics in 2019. They divided their votes 50/50 for the two major parties. Nobody should say the South West made Buhari to win. No; Buhari won the election clearly and he was voted by all Nigerians who love him. Nobody should come out to say, he is the person that made Buhari to win. Even spirits voted for Buhari in the election. Do you know that without the former governor of Lagos State, Asiwaju Tinubu, Buhari would not have made it in 2015? I have told you that 2015 is now history. Even me talking to you now, do you know the role I played in 2015? People played all manner of politics in 2015 and Tinubu was not the only person. What I know is that Tinubu cannot be the president of Nigeria. That is the truth. He is very old and maybe older than President Buhari. Some people see Tinubu like one big masquerade but he is not. Some think that he is the Yoruba leader but he is not. He is also like Obasanjo; some people see the former president as a small god but he is not. In my last interview before the election, I said it that Obasanjo has only one vote like any other person. What happened? Did it not turn out like that? Everybody’s eyes are already open now. If Tinubu is recognized by the Yoruba people as their leader, why did Buhari score 50 per cent there? Why did he not ask them to give him like even 60 per cent at least? Tinubu has failed and that is the truth. Or are you telling me that Tinubu did anti-party activities by telling the South West to share the votes 50/50 to APC and PDP? Cameraeyesblog.com |

Kogi state Governor, Yahaya Bello for the first time publicly admitted that his administration have committed blunder by owing workers between eight and 38 months due to the over two years screening exercise he initiated. Gov Bello who spoke through his chief of staff, Edward Onoja at the 7th Annual NLC quadrennial congress on Thursday in Lokoja Said. ' when a child made mistakes he should admit he has made mistakes' We have made mistakes and we are correcting it. Onoja who was unusually sobber at the ceremony was reacting to NLC chairman's speech, Comrade Onuh Edoka who said workers were dieing in dozens due to the non payments of salaries as the government was owing them eight to 38 months. Edoka had said workers in the state have been reduced to beggers, as they could not meet their domestic responsibilities while their children were driven out of school due to non payment of school fees. While the condition of pensioners and local government workers some of who he said are being paid ' Miserable percentages of their salaries' are most precarious. Responding, Onoja who said the prolonged staff screening exercise was inevitable, as it has brought some kind of sanity to the civil service system in the state, however said government was looking for where it has goofed in a view to correcting it. On the percentage payments of the local government workers, Onoja said this phenomenon has been existing before the advent of the current administration, a claim which the workers at the occasion responded by shouting no, no, no, ' you are lieing beating a retreat, Onoja appealed to the workers to exercise patience with the government as effort would be geared towards paying their salaries as and when due, pleading with the workers to support the re- election bid of Yahaya Bello. He how ever said if by November this year, Governor Bello was not re elected the incoming government will build on the Legacy they would leave behind. |
