38 year old Nigerian man, Olaoluwa Ibrahim was yesterday July 28th sentenced to jail by the Central Criminal Court in London for raping and stealing from a woman he attacked in Central London in June last year.

UK's metropolitan police say Ibrahim's victim was on her way back from an outing with her friends in Central London when he accosted her and raped her.

After leaving her friends, the victim got on a bus and decided to stop close to her house so she could take a short walk home. As she walked, Ibrahim approached her from behind and tried to engage her in conversation. She tried ignoring him by walking away but he grabbed her and pushed her into a driveway where he forced her to the floor and raped her, before stealing her phone and running from the scene. The victim was able to make her way home and subsequently contacted the police.

Officers were able to trace Ibrahim via extensive phone inquiries as he had made a number of calls to the victim’s new phone following the incident. When interrogated, he denied knowing the victim, saying his DNA will not be found on her as he had not had sex with anyone. DNA testing showed that his DNA matched the one found on the victim’s clothing. He then changed his story, claiming to have had consensual sex with the victim and denied stealing her phone.

The victim is now living in Australia and to save her the trauma of having to return to the UK for the trial, officers traveled there and provided specialist computer equipment which allowed her to give her evidence remotely via a live link to the court.

Ibrahim pleaded guilty to rape and theft. Delivering judgement, the presiding judge ruled that after serving his prison term, he will be deported back to Nigeria.

Six Nigerian young ladies have been come back to the country after taken to Burkina Faso where they were they taken to work as whores by a lady named Balikis.

While the young ladies join their guardians in Ibadan, Oyo State, on Wednesday, the Comptroller of the Nigeria Immigration Service, Oyo State Command, Innocent Akatu, said the young ladies were deceived to leave Nigeria, that they did not inform their guardians concerning their journey.

Akatu said the young ladies declined to engage in prostitution in Ouagadougu, Burkina-Faso, subsequently were locked in a room by the trafficker.

He included that their journey back home following three weeks started when one of them got away and informed the Burkinabe police.

He said,
THE GIRLS

“The victims, after being smuggled to Ouagadougou in Burkina Faso, discovered that they were going to be used for prostitution. They were not even told that they were going to Burkina Faso. These girls were told that they would be given lucrative jobs abroad; one of them was told that she was going to manage a jewellery shop owned by her trafficker.
“One of them was taken from her home in Ikorodu, Lagos State, and driven to Saki in Oyo State. When she asked why it had taken them so long to reach the airport, she was told that the plane had left and that they would have to travel by road.
“The Nigerian embassy assisted in arranging emergency travelling documents for them to return to Nigeria after their lucky escape. We have taken them to the hospital for screening and they are HIV negative.”
One of the girls, Ganiyat Samuel, said she was living with her grandmother in Ikorodu before she embarked on the journey secretly without informing her grandma.
She said, “A woman, called Balikis, came to me and said that I would make more money as a fashion designer if I travel outside Nigeria. I told her that I had no passport, but she said that she would take care of it. I did not tell any of my parents.
“When we got to Saki, she said she could not get a passport for me because the office had closed. We travelled for two days to get to Burkina Faso. She took me to her house and told me that I would have to do HIV test. The test revealed that I was pregnant, but HIV negative. She told me that she brought me to the country for prostitution and that I would have to abort the pregnancy. I refused and she locked me in a room. When she brought another Nigerian a week later, I helped the girl to escape and she alerted the police. The police rescued us and arrested the woman.”

My name is Jeremiah Ashang, crown Prince of Obanlikwu. At about 01.00Hrs on Saturday 18th July 2015, in Gramics Hotel along Obudu Ranch road in Cross River State, the Chief of Staff to the Cross River State Government (Martin Orim) orders his security aide to shoot me dead. This is my story. In the early hours of Saturday 18th July, 2015 at about 1am I returned to my hotel room from funeral at Igwo in Obudu and in my company was my cousin and his father. While trying to settle in into our booked rooms, we discovered an unknown man in one of the rooms.
This unidentified person rained curses and attacked my uncle and when we tried to resolve the crisis at the front office, this stranger identified himself firstly as a cultist and also as the driver to the Chief of staff to the cross river state government. While I was still trying to settle in, my cousin proceeded to speak to the Chief of Staff who was at the time seated at the bar soaked in alcohol with his friends and cohorts. On meeting them and greeting them respectfully, he proceeded to report the incident that transpired earlier so that the said driver could be called to order as he had disrespected his father.

In a split moment as I learnt from the receptionist, an EFCC official (Peter Atianshe Akpanke ) seated with the Chief of staff accosted my cousin and asked what audacity he had to walk up to their gathering to report such an incident. In the heat of the argument, the Chief of staff stood up and angrily ordered that his security immediately shoot my cousin. The security aides proceeded to pounce on my cousin, hitting him with their boots, gun butts, batons and also sprayed teargas into his eyes whilst shooting sporadically and causing chaos in the neighbourhood.

Upon hearing the commotion, I stepped out to find out what was going on and immediately the EFFC official identified me as his cousin and immediately the chief of staff ordered his security aides who were Police men to assault me. They beat me up mercilessly, tied me up, sprayed tear gas into my eyes and bundled me into their Hilux Truck. Thereafter the Chief of Staff ordered his Aides to shoot and kill my cousin and me.

When I heard this I took off for my dear life, some shots were fired at me and I was lucky to escape by the grace of God. Is this the change we are looking for? This is an inhumane act perpetrated by individual who takes advantage of the position he is in to intimidate people at will for no just cause. I have taken up the matter to the appropriate authority. Both policemen are attached to Police Mobile Force 11 Calabar.

This is just awful! The Clayton County police have announced the death of former NFL player Buster Barnett's wife after his girlfriend kidnapped and killed her before killing herself in a bizarre chain of events.

49-year-old Sandra Barnett was kidnapped by Lisa Brown at her Ellenwood home on Wednesday afternoon. Clayton County Police Capt. Richard Gandee said:
"Sandra was actually on the telephone with a friend when Lisa showed up at the front door. Lisa Brown was even driving a vehicle owned by Buster."

Carroll County authorities spotted the Dodge Durango on Thursday and began a chase on Interstate 20 that spanned into Alabama. Alabama State Patrol troopers joined in when the chase crossed state lines.

However, as the chase grew hot, the Durango suddenly stopped in the middle of the interstate at mile marker 208. At that point, authorities said Brown shot Sandra Barnett and turned the gun on herself.

Despite heavy rainfalls in Kubwa, a satellite in Abuja, Muslims in the area came out in large numbers to attend the Eid el-Fitr prayers which was held at the Eid Praying Ground, Phase 3, Kubwa, Abuja.

NAN reports that a large number of Muslims turned up for the prayers and were drenched in rain water but still waited in the rain asthe prayers continued.

Chief Imam of Kubwa, Abdurrahim Muhammad, in his sermon, urged Muslims to draw valuable lessons from Ramadan just as they continued to live good lives.

50 Cent is down for the count after losing a multi-million dollar lawsuit ... he's just declared bankruptcy.

TMZ has confirmed ... 50 filed for bankruptcy on Monday, 3 days after Rick Ross' baby mama won a $5 million jury verdict against him.

50 is in a world of financial hurt. A jury awarded Lavonia Leviston the $5 mil after determining the rapper intentionally leaked a sex tape in which she was featured, in order to embarrass Ross.

50 has been ordered to produce proof of income and worth so the jury can determine punitive damages.

According to the bankruptcy filing -- a story first reported by Page 6 -- 50 says his assets are valued between $10 and $50 million but his liabilities are also between the same range.

On top of that, 50 lost a court case in which a jury socked him with a $17.2 million judgment over ripping off a headphones design.

It's a breathtaking fall .. in May, Forbes estimated 50's net worth at $155 million.

It came as a rude shock to pop singer, Dencia, when she realised that the lady she had always referred to as her sister is actually her mother. In a chat with Saturday Beats, the fair skinned singer said that she went into a state of severe depression when she found out.

Years later, she has been able to come to terms with the reality of her birth and has fought the depression. She said that everything is fine in her family but nobody seems to want to tell her the story of her birth.
