I told myself if I come out of that experience without crying, I’ll come here and gist 😂
Mostly those guys who wanna travel to a new state and start new life
Omor sha, man dey suffer o
I was posted to Abia State for an exam (Ngwa Road axis).
Before travelling, I had already added one small “side mission” to the exam.
If Aba really has money like people talk, Everybody always saying " Money dey Aba" then I might just stay back after exams and start life there.
Even if na site work… no problem.

Bread + mineral go hold body. As long as bags dey drop 💰, we move.

So I went with that mindset
Active like Merlin
With full energy to attack

Plan B was that, I'll sleep in church building first night, if hotels too expensive, cus me sef was low on Budget
Plan C was that I'll find school building, sleep at hostel, even if na to pay small thing

But Omo on reaching Aba, things looked strange,
Keke man told me that transport to ABSU ( Abia State University) from where I was and back. Na my one week Feeding money, and I came here for exams
If I start like that, money come finish on day 4, how I wan do?
So I just cancelled the boys hostel plan
Make all of us Rest

Moved to sleeping in church building plan, But Aba isn't like my state where you see churches everywhere, only few old catholic church buildings, omor

I went in, Faces of people there no even get joy
No Young guy, Dude or Gee
I left the building church
Went to another which was even bigger than others

Security guy said I can stay with him
But issue is that he's an advanced man, I won't flow freely
Told him I'm coming back
I wanna go see my exams location
He asked me to drop bags, I told him I needed exams slips and ID to submit
I marked that road, never to pass there again
Even if I later stay in Aba

Time was very unfriendly with me
It was already getting to 5PM and I neva even arrange where to sleep
I had to move to a hotel, say I go use Night think
Make I see roof fess
The street wasn't looking happy, I'd have slept somewhere in street

Next day, I came out early, ready to find house.
Omo… no be small thing.
Almost every house don turn shop.
Everybody busy. Nobody even send you.
After moving up and down, I finally met one guy.
He said he’s an agent.
He took me to one compound.
Before we entered, I asked him one important question: Light dey here?
He didn’t even think twice.
“Light wey dey this side, I even wan park come stay here,” he said.
The confidence even confuse me 😭
But as I looked around…
Something felt off.
No proper poles.
No sign of anything that looks like stable light
My mind was like:
“Guy, this thing no clear o…”

But my body was tired.

And my account balance wasn't balance.

So I ignored my instinct.

I paid.

I packed my things, bought broom, padlock, bread for night…
Feeling like I’ve finally settled like a big boy who took risk

That night…

No light.

Not blinking. Not flashing. Nothing.

Just darkness.

I just lay down there like…

“So this is how it starts.” 😭

That was when I understood something clearly:

Finding house for new place no be small risk.

Agent go talk.
You go believe.
Then reality go later jam you

Later on, I came across something that made sense:

You can see house listings based on your location,
and people can drop anonymous reviews about places, for those who've lived there in the past

Meaning… person for don warn me about that area before I go pay.
You can even find roommate if rent too much.
Because sometimes, the problem no be house… na money.
I just dey imagine…
If I saw one small review like:
“No expect light here”
I for just turn back quietly.
Anyway, I sha survived 😂
Just sharing so person no go enter the same trap.
Before you pay for any house, try find real info first

I swear my life , i had money before i went gambling and lost all, out of stranded, i had to move to truehost for website hosting
