Again I am grateful to you for your comments. However, I want to say that the rational behind most of our choices in life is yet to be fully understood by the most brilliant physiologist. My point it this; there is Harvard and there is London business school and then there is Cambridge and Oxford. On the other hand there is ***** . Trying not to sound offensive to those who attended those schools. (So i won't mention names in here). However, I am sure that no one on this planet wouldn't like to be associated with the ones i did mention above. You and I also know the cost of attending these institutions. Granted Uni of Swansea is not even in the league of the schools i mentioned above but its not a school that you can push over either, its actually far better than the average by a long shot. In trying to balance the equation between cost of tuition and quality of content which the student will get, our choices of schools to promote and represent reflects some of the best in the UK. I am sure you know that cheap and quality hardly go together, not that you don't get it once in a while. Yes, I agree with you that it is too expensive, only if also you understand that people see from varied perspective in life. Indeed for some its much, but not so in the eyes of others. I have been in this industry for a while and i have seen people pay as much as 33,000 pounds for an MBA in the UK , and that is just tuition fee not including living expenses. There are some who want specific knowledge different from the general one that you can get in a lot of places and they are willing to pay the price to get them. I could be for or against but I think the most important questions any potential student should ask is what do you want to do with your degree and what will your circle of influence look like in a couple of years time. What value will you bring to the market place in the future? and is there a specific place i can get this knowledge? when you answer these questions then you will know what price to pay so you can arrive at your desired destination,. Again, I want to stress that ours is a different agency with focus on the individual who seeks to make a difference in his or her world. We can really help to hook you up fast. |
Many thanks for your comments. Not to sound defensive. I am sure you know that different school have different fees. (I am sorry for the wrong figures quoted though, I can assure you that it was an error). As for deceit, that is definitely not out intentions. Studying abroad is not a cheap venture and with the recent announcement by the UK Prime minister, those schools offering fees that are much much lower are going to have it a bit rough as from next year. So a lot of those schools are going to loose their ratings. Not all will make the next screening and I can assure you that not all agents will survive as well. We have only presented a list of courses and the start date and the fee (again I apologies for the error). What we would really like to see is interested student call us up or come into our office to really see if that is what suits them best so we can give appropriate advice. After the student makes up his or her mind then we can proceed to apply on their behalf. It can be a long process as some students don't really know what they want or what they should be studying. By the way, we are having a presentation next week ; Skills 4 the Future 1.0 . We have been mapping the developments and skills required by an emerging market like Nigeria and Africa at large and we have put together this presentation for those who want to stay relevant in the future. I really hope to hear from people who are genuinely interested and can afford it. Please do not hesitate to keep the comments coming, they actually makes us better. |
University of Swansea has an affiliate college ICWS, U can check them out too (http://www.icws-uk.co.uk/). That is the pathway for students that have WAEC/NECO. ICWS is part and parcel of Uni of Swansea. So you would live and receive lectures on campus, That explains the variation in fees ( fee is actually 9000 pounds as stated on the web page). Sorry about this . we used the fees on the prospectus we had in the office. The ad was done a while back. The increment on the web page is about some weeks old. I hope this helps? You can like our face book page here; http://www.facebook.com/pages/Edge-Factor-Services/129571947098569 Visit also our blog here; http://buythefuture..com Let me know if i can be of further assistance. justwise:There are a number of schools actually. We recommend schools based on student's peculiar needs. For instance if you just graduated from uni, there are schools that will accept you for an MBA. There are those that will not accept you if you don not have at least 3 years work experience in a leadership role (team leader, manager etc). That is where we come in, helping you to make the right decisions, taking your budget, and the content of the program into consideration. If we know the details about your academic background we can advice you better. Hope this helps. |

Imagine that about 15 years ago we did not have the mobile telecoms industry in Nigeria as we have it today. By implication, our higher institutions had little or no knowledge in this area. At Edge Factor, we are of the opinion that more industries will spring up in the future by necessity and the labour market will place a demand for specific and relevant skill and knowledge to drive certain sectors vital to our national survival, development and excellence in the new world order. We believe the future belong to those who posses relevant ,specific and applicable skill and knowledge. The question we are asking is this, when the future arrives, what skills will you be selling? Please see attachment for available courses.
