The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, the Spiritual/Traditional head & representative of Oduduwa the progenitor of the Yoruba race on Tuesday arrived at Pearson international Airport Canada to grace the country’s 150th Independence Anniversary celebrations this weekend of which the Canadian government invited him.

The special invitation was conveyed to the Ife monarch in his palace last month by a Canadian Member of Parliament (MP), Ramesh Sangha.

kabiyesi Oonirisa was well received by Nigerian Canadians & Yoruba's of Caribbean descent at the airport.
The Nigerian Charge d' Affair at the Nigerian high commission said several activities are lined up for Oonirisa & his Olori wuraola. He's scheduled to be back in Ile-ife on Wednesday next week.
