If you look at it critically, 1.4m students won't be looking for PR in one year as they all didn't come in the same time (year). It will be roughly 1.4m divide by factor of 3 - 4 reducing it to around 300k - 450k students per year.

note that there are already people on post graduate work permit looking for PR too. Plus many of the recent students are on one year courses at these colleges , there are also people on work permit looking for PR etc. People on temporary visas are about 2.8m currently if you remove the 1.4m students. You still have 1.4m.

those schools have stringent admission requirements and cant admit many people due to space .Unlike the diploma mills who are only after money and admit low quality students.

Unfortunately many of these students were influenced by TikTok, YouTube videos of come to Canada and many unlicensed agents who wanted to get commission. Many from India used their family lands as collateral for loans and cant go back empty handed. Some will resort to crime, some will claim asylum etc.

Also there are about 1.4m students in Canada with yearly quota for economic PR around 500k. Lets say half of those goes to inland candidates. So they are fighting for 250k PR slot. I explained this to my friend but he said “my case will be different “ 😅

Canada is an overrated hell of a place!. Some people in Nigeria eat better than they do after moving to Canada, but the truth is often hidden as people tend to criticize Nigeria while covering up the realities of life in a place like Canada. My brother had to sleep at a train station in Toronto for two days before finding a temporary place to stay. Even their so-called homeless shelters are filled up and no space . It's a terrible place for any hustler looking to work and study because currently no work and many are jobless . Money wasted on worthless education there is better invested elsewhere! if you go online you will see thousand of job but it all liars and deceivers! . many of you Nigerians aboard please make you guys dey tell people coming the truth and not creating all this fake paradise credit lifestyle online to deceive people back home !!

I advised two friends to go learn French and do express entry instead of coming to study in one of these mushrooms colleges they didn’t listen and are still hell bent on coming with student visa despite not having the tuition/ pof.
