JT has his foibles but I do not for a minute doubt that his mistakes would not be an exact replica of PP raised to a power of 7 if he were the Prime Minister. He would also let in record number of immigrants simply because it will ameliorate the shockwaves created by COVID and more importantly because of the private sector. PP voted against establishing a National School Food program and it is a fact that his top advisor lobbies for, yes, Loblaws.

We can't take it from MC that he has the pedigree to lead the country in this time of economic uncertainty with his experience. He may be one of the backers of the Carbon tax but he is wise enough to know it is unpopular and he has taken a u-turn on the carbon tax by repealing it.
I do not think that those policies are nonsensical, they just went too fast with them in a short period of time without doing due diligence in many areas including the area of public enlightenment.
