EducationIs It Right To Use The Word 'impeach' Instead Of Removal? by eDoctorr(op): 2:42pm On Nov 21, 2015
We make use of some words due to common usage in our society and it's popularity. I've never checked the meaning of impeach until I was 18 years of age, but undoubtedly I've knew it before then. I watched an interview of a politician then on TV and he corrected the interviewer by saying Impeach doesn't mean removal, it's only charged. I quickly rushed to my dictionary to check the word for the first time. And to my great surprise; it was exactly has he said. This afternoon, this particular word 'impeachment' hits front page.

impeach is a verb that means to
bring an accusation against. Impeach means to
charge someone with doing something wrong,
specifically a high government official, such as
the US president, a senator, or a Federal judge.
Fortunately, very few presidents have had the
dishonor of being impeached .

PoliticsWike Confronts Presidency: 105 Soldiers Killed Not Missing by eDoctorr(op): 4:30pm On Nov 20, 2015
The embattled Rivers State governor, Mr.
Nyesom Wike has raised an objection to the
claim that over one hundred soldiers were
missing after sporadic gun battle with Boko
Haram Insurgents; saying, inside source had
confirmed the combatants dead and not just
missing.
Wike, who charged President Buhari and his
administration to be ready to take the
responsibility, said Nigerians are tired of half-
truth and diplomatic statements of curbing
insurgency.
He described as an act of wickedness and lack
of human feeling, the political dressings given the
insurgents since the assumption of office of the
All Progressive Congress (APC) at the national
level.
Mr. Wike lamented that the APC led government
appeared more interested in witch hunting
oppositions and demoralising the country's unity
and tranquility than fighting the insurgency, the
promise on which the party rode to power.
"It is an aberration and a total deviation from the
expected changes the APC led administration
had promised Nigerians, reading 105 soldiers
were missing while they were even dead under
APC watch.
"No average Nigerian who listened and watched
the APC rallies across the country during the
electioneering campaign where promises of
ending the insurgency within a short period of
time if elected were made, that will believe
Nigerian Army could be this molested and
defeated with APC providing shield instead of
telling Nigerians the basic truth," Wike lamented.
He admonished the presidency to tell Nigerians
the present situation with the "105 missing
soldiers" which insider had confirmed dead.
"It will be of great relief to the presidency if
Nigerians can always be fed with facts and not
doctored media reports aimed at pleasing the
masses.
"As much as we anticipate peace and security of
lives and properties, telling Nigerians you are
winning battle against Boko Haram when the
insurgency consumes our able security
operatives on daily basis, is as dangerous as
voting an unrealistic change," Gov. Wike said in
Port Harcourt on Thursday.

PoliticsFlashback: Nigerians may stone Buhari after 6 months - Aps. Johnson Suleman by eDoctorr(op):
Can we still recollect what Apostle Johnson Suleiman said after GMB (PMB) won the election.

“Let me say this to you. In the next six months,
people may stone Buhari. The reason I’m saying
this is because the expectation is too high.
Nigerians expect Buhari to put gold on their tables.
Two, the large chunk of followership Buhari has are
youths and young people and they are impatient.
Young people don’t believe in progressive change,
they want change.
When they say change, they see a new picture. And
Buhari has been talking from the two sides of the
mouth. During campaign, he told us Boko Haram
would be a thing of the past. Now, you are
President-elect, you are saying people shouldn’t
expect a miracle. Are you a pastor? If I wanted a
miracle worker, won’t I bring a Mallam or... (Let's the rest of the story)

LOOKING AT THE PRESENT CHALLENGES (SECURITY, ECONOMY, FUEL SCARCITY, POLITICAL INSTABILITY E.T.C) THE COUNTRY IS FACING.

PoliticsAfrica Needs Another Revolution - Robert Mugabe by eDoctorr(op): 5:46pm On Nov 19, 2015
President Mugabe has said Africa needs another revolution as it lacks complete independence due to the continued exploitation of it’s natural resources by the erstwhile masters. The President, who was invited to the G20 summit in his capacity as the AU chair, told world leaders attending the meeting on Sunday that the continent remained at the level of subsistence, but with support, could register growth and development. “We don’t control our economy. Our natural resources are exploited by our erstwhile masters. It is that area which we must address with you. That requires another revolution. “Even in politics we have others who want to overlook us. We need technology, funding, loans, not just grants to get us to move beyond primary to secondary levels. Adding value to our resource. That will give us greater capacity. Greater value,” said the President. President Mugabe said he was glad that countries like China, India, Japan and Turkey have invested in “those areas of our infrastructure and have helped us build institutions for skills upgrading.” President Mugabe added: “The educational levels of our people must be raised so they are able to match those of the advanced industries.” He said the AU had adopted sustainable development goals leading to 2063 that would see the continent’s economies moving from primary to secondary production. “You look at us as a lower class now because we don’t qualify to be in your G-20 for now. But with support we should achieve inclusive growth and development. Our people have natural resources. But we want them to enjoy natural resources that are in their hands, that are in their hands. We want them in their hands,” said President Mugabe. Russian President, Vladimir Putin, US President Barack Obama, British Prime Minister David Cameron, German Chancellor Angela Merkel and Chinese President Xi Jinping, along with many other leaders around the world listened attentively as President Mugabe spoke. The summit, which was held at the Regnum Carya Golf and Spa Resort and Convention Centre, was supposed to focus on migration and climate change, but this has changed following the deadly attacks in Paris, France which left more than 130 people dead. Talks on ISIS have now taken centre stage with Turkish President Mr Recep Tayyip Erdogan and his US counterpart Mr Obama, holding a press conference to denounce the attacks in Paris. After the press conference, the summit started with the leaders from the various nations walking into the summit venue after posing for handshakes with Mr Erdogan.

SportsFIFA Approves Five Presidential Candidates, Platini Pending by eDoctorr(op): 7:14pm On Nov 12, 2015
FIFA on Thursday approved five candidates to stand in
February’s vote to replace Sepp Blatter as president of
world football’s governing body, but Michel Platini has not
yet made the list.
The five who met the qualifications following a
series of integrity tests were: Prince Ali Al
Hussein, Sheikh Salman Bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa,
Jerome Champagne, Gianni Infantino and Tokyo
Sexwale, a FIFA statement said.

The candidacy of Platini, the suspended head of
European football who had been the favourite
to succeed Blatter, will be examined once his 90-
day suspension by FIFA’s ethics committee is
over.
The only candidate to be disqualified after
receiving provisional approval was Musa Bility,
the head of the Liberian football association.
“The Ad-hoc Electoral Committee did not admit
the candidature of Musa Hassan Bility, in view
of the content of the integrity check report
relating to him,” the statement said.
FIFA said it had explained the reasons for
disqualification privately to Bility, but it would
not make the specifics public.
The race is thought to be wide open given
Platini’s potential ethics violations, including a
probe over a murky $2 million payment he
received from FIFA in 2011.
His suspension triggered a flurry of activity with
the powerful Asian football chief Sheikh Salman,
former FIFA official Champagne, South African
anti-apartheid campaigner Sexwale, UEFA
general secretary Infantino and Bility all
throwing their hats into the ring.
The race is likely to be heavily shaped by
whether Platini is ultimately admitted, with
Infantino indicating he would stand aside if his
UEFA boss qualifies for the vote.

As many believed that Aisha Al-Hassan (Mama Taraba) who was just announced by tribunal as the true winner of Taraba state governorship election, is the first female governor in Nigeria history. Thank God, am not part of the youths that are being controlled by political wind without making proper research.

Dame Virginia Ngozi Etiaba was the Governor of
Anambra State , a state in south-central Nigeria,
from November 2006 to February 2007. She is
the first female governor in Nigeria's history.
Her instatement came as the previous governor,
Peter Obi , was impeached by the state
legislature for alleged gross misconduct. She
transferred her powers back to Obi three
months later when an appeal court nullified the
impeachment.

HealthMan’s Head Cut Off In World’s First Successful Head Transplant Operation by eDoctorr(op): 6:25am On Nov 10, 2015
*World’s First Head Transplant A Success After Nineteen Hour Operation A 36-year-old man has undergone the world’s first successful head transplant. The ground- breaking operation took a team of surgeons 19 hours to complete and has allowed the patient to be cancer-free. Paul Horner, who was diagnosed with bone cancer five years ago, was on the verge of death when he was approved for the controversial and possibly deadly operation. Doctor Tom Downey, who was part of the South African team who carried out the operation, told CNN he is thrilled about the results. “It’s a massive breakthrough. We’ve proved that it can be done – we can give someone a brand new body that is just as good, or better, than their previous one. The success of this operation leads to infinite possibilities.” Surgeons at Charlotte Maxexe Johannesburg Academic Hospital in SA did the operation in February but had to wait until they could confirm it was successful before they made any public statement. Downey spoke to reporters on the complexity behind the first ever head transplant. “This procedure is another excellent example of how medical research, technical know-how and patient-centered care can be combined in the quest to relieve human suffering.” The operation was led by Professor Myron Danus and took place on February 10, 2015. “Our goal is for Horner to be fully functional in two years and so far we are very pleased by his rapid recovery,” said prof. Danus. “Before the operation, Horner’s body was riddled with cancer and he had less than a month to live. We were fortunate enough to find a donor body; a 21-year-old man who has been brain dead from a serious car accident that happened in 2012. The boys body worked just fine, but his brain was not functioning whatsoever, and there was absolutely no chance of recovery. He added: “We received approval from the young man’s parents to use their sons body to do the operation. They were extremely happy their son could save a life even in the vegetated state that he was in.” The man, Horner, has made 85% recovery; walking, talking, doing things a healthy individual does…

I just heard the news on OGTV at 8:00pm and it was read to my hearing that the on-going repair on the Lagos-Ibadan expressway is being done by Ogun state government.
The newscaster even stated it categorically that there is a rumour circulating that it's being done by one of the biggest church denomination in the country (Obviously he was referring to Redeemed Church but doesn't want to mention them since the claim wasn't the church)

Please, let's stop the rumour and give credit to those who genuinely deserve it.

Politics'Between A Governor And A Senator' Who Is More Superior? by eDoctorr(op): 11:43am On Oct 29, 2015
In my own perspective; I see a governor as a mini_President in charge of individual states the President govern.

But in another view; Senators are more independent than the governors and they see themselves as determinant of any activities at the federal level. And looking at it in another way, in Nigeria citizens are to be ranked; the senate president comes 3rd after the President and the vice president and the if the ranking has to continue; all the senators would come before any state governor.

Who is more superior (Or are they equal? Coz we have seen former governors that also became senator and vice versa)

Please, let's share our views concerning this.
