Politics / Re: Chelsea Seized As Abramovich Is Sanctioned By UK Government by edoman2016: 11:59am On Mar 10, 2022
Very unfair sanction. How can UK govt sanction Chelsea fc from selling match day tickets, player transfers sale and club merchandise at Chelsea stores. Did they want to ruin Chelsea fc?

How will the club generate revenue now? UK govt has always been thief.

Kobojunkie:
Which bride price again? This here is meant as an alternative to your traditional marriages. undecided

You can choose to either marry through the

1. traditional route
2. Church marriage
3. Registry or court marriage.

You only need do just one to be married. undecided

Note: court marriage is not an alternative to payment of dowry. In fact dowry payment is the REAL marriage. church wedding is just ceremonial

Don't kill yourself because of high standard of life without high level of cash.
This my wedding cost me less than twenty-five thousand naira (#25,000).
Simple dress, the one I have on my hanger,
The best thing is that am happy with my wife.
In fact, no food, no even pure water and no cameraman I used my phone.
Na only thank you for coming
what about bride price and list of items for traditional marriage. I am sure you spent more than 25k. Court wedding is not enough for marriage in Nigeria

Groundnut soup for me anyday. It was my favourite soup growing up. I don't know why most restaurants in Lagos don't cook and sell it. Is it that most don't know how to cook it?

I think you are looking for free money and not a job. I asked if you have tried to apply for teaching jobs as one of options. Nairalanders can even dash you the 15k. Its not big money. If you can show you are striving and not lazy.

What is your education qualification? Have you tried looking for teaching jobs? Teaching jobs are easily available. You can do it for few months, save some of your salaries and invest it in the puff puff business which your wife can manage it. 15k is small money. Not too hard to get

Travel / Re: Share Your Train Ride Experience In Nigeria by edoman2016: 6:21am On Feb 28, 2022
Twoclans:
I have been going on train rides since the launch of the Kaduna to Abuja and Abuja to Kaduna route.Passengers suffered in the hands of those railways staff when tickets were been sold at the counter.Currently tickets are sold online ,you can just buy your ticket a day before your scheduled journey from the comfort of your home.

My experience on the 19th of February 2022 .I was travelling from Abuja to Kaduna on the 10.04 train .Usually the train leaves from the Idu station and makes a stop at Kubwa to pick passengers.I boarded from the Kubwa station .When I got my seat my seat mate who bought an aisle seat had taken my window seat.

I looked at him and asked him to move to his seat, typical Nigerian he wanted to be mouthy ,it took me two nano minutes to get his arse off my seat.

I just can never understand why people always think they can bully people out of their seats in this country. You take a road trip ,plane trip and train trip same character everywhere .

Me that is always on the move I have mastered the act of moving people to their seat positions .

@ folake4u is it that the tickets for your route cannot be bought online currently or you choose to buy from the counter?

I want to travell that route soonest and honestly I am not interested in train tickets across the counter anymore.

I really hope Nigeria develops the train travel option further.Even though I know we are far from what is obtainable in advanced countries further improvements will not be so bad.

What is the website to book railway ticket online?

T0T0fucker:
2019 I own a car, lived in my own house fed for myself and support my family.
but life happened, 2021 I was forced back to my parents house in the creeks, since then they the ones supporting me.

but what I noticed this year is that, they want to kill me with talk.
comparing me with other children, using my flaws to curse me up and down.

it's like the once bread winner of the familie became a sand and ants in their eyes.

back then 2018, everything I had I took it for granted.
my financial freedom I took it for granted, right now I got tears in my eyes.

my parent' literally killing my self esteem....yes I try to be strong by quarreling with them sometimes but deep down I feel the pain within me.

I that use to buy bag of rice for the family, droping 20k every week for them.
but now am reduced to nothing...

How did you lost it all? Were you duped or invest in a failed business? I will like to know if you wouldn't mind

Lol, Pat Utomi never had any business with Peugoet rather it was Volkswagen, two different companies!

That said, you should be able to detect a blackmail when you see one. Nigeria had so many vehicle assembly plants in the 1970's and 1980's to early 90's before the military ruined the economy and they all collapsed. It has nothing to do with Pat Utomi. If you like bring the best technocrat to manage a sensitive industry in Nigeria, but it won't stop it from collapsing if the economy is not right for it. Peugoet, Steyr, Volkswagen, Mercedes etc. were all operating in Nigeria before they all collapsed about the same period, were they all being managed by Pat Utomi?

If he isn't good, why has he continued to manage LBS so successfully since inception?
Running a business school is one thing. Being a successful businessman is another thing. Many people can talk the talk but can they walk the talk?

Kingdemu:
Good evening Gents. Pls, what are your thoughts in buying semi detached duplex in gated estates built by reputable real estate coys in Abuja in places like Gwarimpa, Karsana and Life Camp, compared to using same cash to buy a plot in far outskirts satellite villages to build a fully detached and fenced one? Aside the obvious proximity and the perks of being close to the city center, will it be wise
financially, consideringg factors like security (since obviously for comfort reasons, building a fully detached and fenced personal duplex is better) to consider a semi-detached already built one?

*Pics of semi-detached duplex/terrace for illustration

If you are young and still an employee, buy the semi detached duplex in the gated estate due to proximity to your workplace. It will save you stress.

Whereas, if you are self employed or retiree, buy a plot of land in the city outskirts and build your fully detached duplex. You will love and enjoy the serenity and peace of living in outskirt of the city

Right now am at home crying, seriously in pain, each time I see my son call me daddy and telling me I love you, I just break down and weep....what kind of father am I, since I lost all my resources none of my family call or want to associate with me, my wife has been my only companion, she knows this is not the man she married and think believe I can rise again, but I have lost hope, if I tell you ow much I lost within the space of three years, it giving me headache
Your wife is not a good woman. When you were selling your land, car, etc , why didn't she stop you against selling your properties for gambling? She should have been very firm with you. There is no way she won't be aware during the period

I just want to share my story to the world.
When I graduated, I was so blessed that I didn’t hurt for job, before I got one. I was working in the bank and was paid well, within a year I rented an apartment and got married, things was falling in place and I felt on top of the world before I started gambling, how I started it, I can’t explain. I lost all my resources and money within two years, I was sacked eventually and life became worst for me.
I got another job and promised my wife, family and kids to be a responsible father, but the urge for gambling keep coming, I couldn’t control the urge, I lost the job again.
My wife believed am a good man, but I see myself like am cursed and it is not that am getting money from the gambling.
I am sick and tired of life, I am a failure, sometimes I feel like committing suicide, I have brought shame to my family and kids.
Please I need help, am jobless, money can’t stay in my hand, I will go to gambling shop and lavish it.
Am I cursed, I need help
When you were working at the bank, how did you still have time for virtual betting? I thought bank job is very hectic and consume all your time. Were you a high staker? Cause most people who bet don't stake more than 1000 naira on a bet.

7. They have trust issues
When you say your enemies are after you, a Nigerian woman’s first assumption is that it’s your ex trying to kill you and if indeed it’s your ex, what did you do to warrant such, Mr. Man?

6. They reply texts after 3-5 business days
After Mr. Swindler sends that first “I need $10,000 now, my enemies are after me” text, he will have to wait for three business days before a Nigerian woman will reply to him. Why? Because she’s busy not putting all her eggs in one basket. When she eventually replies, she will say, “Babe, were you able to sort this out? I wasn’t with my phone.”

Yes, they know things even before they happen. They know when their boyfriends are planning to cheat or which of their friends is secretly jealous of her new wig. They would definitely be able to tell when someone is trying to use them to sponsor their lifestyle. Forget all those Instagram vendor scam stories and listen to me.

To fall for Mr. Leviev’s scam means they’re committed to the relationship and we all know that Nigerian women don’t put their eggs in one basket. This is not to say that they cheat; they are just much happier when there’s a number of people to choose from.

3. The small money they have is in PiggyVest
Nigerian women and PiggyVest’s Safelock feature are like 5&6. Once they make a substantial amount of money, they’re saving it and you know once you lock the money, you can’t use it until the release date. This arrangement can’t work for Mr. Leviev, who wanted liquid money every three to five working days.

1. They have two heads
First things first, Nigerian women have two heads. That you don’t see the two heads doesn’t mean it’s not true. One head is not enough to tell when someone is about to scam you because they use manipulative tactics to fool you into believing them. This is where the Nigerian woman’s second head comes in.

I just watched an interesting movie 'Tinder Swinder' on Netflix, it was a real life movie about Shimon Hayut who met women on Tinder before swindling them for millions of dollars after catfishing them into believing his name was “Simon Leviev” and that he was the son of Israeli diamond tycoon Lev Leviev.

Here are my reasons why Nigerian ladies can't fall for the tinder swindler
