Telegram and Twitter are filled with scammers. We need to be careful when using those two platforms.

I have 2 factor authentication on. The scammer cloned Grey app so perfectly that the only way I could have detected something is fishing is if I look at the domain name to confirm it's grey .co

Also I should have been vigilant when the 2 factor SMS code came on my phone and not respond anymore.

The scammer made it look like it was actually Grey account

The safer bet for me now is to abandon Grey account totally and move to another Fintech to receive payment of my domain sales with a new email address.

I know the scammer will want to target me through email phishing next time since he knows my grey email address, even though I have changed my password. He will pretend he is Grey customer care mailing me .

Also, we should avoid leaving large sums inside most of this fintech apps, unless we're making payments with it ASAP.

X as well needs to do better about fake accounts. It's just too much these days. The painful part is that there's 90% possibility that it's a fellow country man that ran you that street.

Finally, Grey should be able to provide the address the crypto went to. We can start from there to see if the receiving platform can be identified.

Grey keep saying crypto withdrawal can't be traced or recover. Then why did they allow crypto option on their App. It wasn't there before.

If it were only bank withdrawal like before it would have been easy to trace. That's why too much innovation is bad.

Afternic, Escrow and commercial banks have refused to allow crypto payment and withdrawal on their platform because crypto encourages scam and money laundering.

Do not make complaint on Twitter to Grey App or any other Fintech App. Scammers are cloning their handles to scam customer's money.

Yesterday was the saddest day of my life. A scammer defrauded me of $2,697 by sending me link through DM as if it's Grey App to resolve my Grey card issue not accepting payments on domain registrars to buy domains for some time now.

I foolishly entered my log in details into the link that mirror Grey App perfectly and he had access to my Grey App, stole $2,697 by converting it to USDC on Grey and move it out before Grey was able to block my account after I emailed them ASAP.

It's when I saw the debit alerts I noticed I had just been scammed.

Please be very careful both on Twitter and nairaland.

If Grey cards had been working to buy domains recently, I wouldn't have been in this situation. I wouldn't have tagged them on Twitter to complaint and a scammer wouldn't have disguise as Grey to DM me.

Grey card is not working on unstoppable domains to make payment anymore.

The useless Grey is saying they have blocked the platform due to high risk.

You have to give lyke some respect. As far back as 2012/2013 that I was serving as a youth corper, he already had a domain thread on this forum, educating people about this business.

I used to see and read his posts in those days but I was more interested in the mini importation thread then.

You are right that he may not be making BIG sales like gptexchange or whoever, but his consistency over the years and mentorship of several domainers who have passed through him, including me, ensure he deserves respect.

Guarantee? There is no guarantee of making a sale in this business until you get a congrats mail that your domain has sold.

Buying quality domains and volume will increase the probability for sure, still no guarantee. That's the honest truth.

If you are not blind, will I buy another new SilverCrest Blender on Jumia if I am not satisfied with previous order which I am currently using at home.

Or will a buyer purchase an appliance without inspecting and confirming it if it's actually brand new and then test it as much as he or she wants?

A brand new blender that cost me 26k in total, one person here was offering me 16k. I just ignored his message.

Some of you are looking for over AWOOF and most times they are fake products or scams. And then you start to complain.

Life doesn't work like that. Only a thief or a scammer will sell his quality items at a price that is too good to believe.

I too have once purchased my car on nairaland autos section from a seller that listed it there as a buyer.

So I understand the perspective of being a buyer looking for a good deal on nairaland too.

A fair discount is fine.

But don't be over greedy looking for over AWOOF, most times it doesn't end well

Because of brand new blender of how much? You think I will have the time to exchanging words or providing explanations on this thread to you. This is my LAST TIME I will comment on this thread. I don't have time and have job to do.

I even went as far as uploading the receipt of purchase of the new order showing it is different from the 2024 order which I still use at home.

Check the receipt below. I spent 853k on 5 purchases with this new blender included.
