Yes, I would print the documents and take to the appointment. Make sure they are official documents though. Tell your bank to print official bank statements for you (if it longer than 3 months they may need to send it to your home) and tell your employer to stamp or sign your payslips.

I was thinking to scan the documents myself. A lot of my documents are electronic documents so do I have to print and take to the appointment? Do they scan in any other? Especially concerning mixing financial documents - bank statements, payslips, contract and offer letters with address correspondence documents.

I'm not sure about putting your documents into groups. Since I did the super priority service they scanned the documents for me. I just had it in these groups, in the folder I took to the appointment.

Thanks for the reply. You have been very helpful. I do have my p60 for year ending March 2019 but have changed jobs twice since then and don't have a recent p60. I was thinking of doing the scanning myself. Also do you have to put the documents in groups / section when scanned? Thanks.

Sorry for the late reply.

Your employer should be able to give you access to your p60. We just had an online portal I could print them from, then I went to get it stamped by my employer to make it more legit. In addition, I did send all the pages of my contract. When you pay for expedited service there is no limit to what you can send to UKVI so I just took all I could. The guy that was scanning my documents had to tell me to chill. grin

Goodluck on your application.

Congratulations! I will be applying in a few weeks and currently trying to prepare and avoid having to pay a lawyer thousands of pounds. I paid for my first application before discovering naira land threads and would really love to avoid doing that again.

I do have a question though. How did you obtain your p60? Also did you send all pages of your employment contract? I have had 4 contracts so far. Thanks.

Hi All,

This thread (and the initial UK Spousal Visa thread) has been of immense help to me and my wife during the application processes. I was going to pay a lawyer thousands of pounds for information and guidance you guys are providing for free. Thank you all very much. I got approved last year November, but just got around to posting my list of information:

Proof of Identity / Travel History
British Residence Permit for Applicant
Applicants' International passport (original)
Spouse passport (Original)
Applicant Passport Photograph

Proof of Application
Relationship Declaration
Consent for Applicant
Marriage certificate (Original)
Printout of Application

Proof of Cohabitation
Proof of property ownership from the owner of property you live in ie mortgage statement
"Letter signed by the owner of property you live in stating that you have
permission to live there"
Copy of an ID document of the owner of the property you live in
Car insurance certificates
Mobile phone contracts
Pensions Letter (Combination of Previous and current Jobs )
GP Letters
Letter from Relative or Friends confirming that partner and I lived with them for
some or all of the 2 years

Finances
Letter from my employer
Applicant's Payslips from 2017
Applicant's bank statements (2016-2019)
Applicant p60 for relevant period
Applicant's Signed Contract of Employment

Educational/Proof of English language
English language test certificate A2

Other
Printout IHS payment
Printout IHS reference number
Printout UK visa application payment
Printout appointment confirmation

We applied approximately 7 days before the expiry of my initial visa. We did this for several reasons: not applying before 28 days from the expiry of visa as per UKVI rules, and also when it comes to applying for ILR you need to have been here 5 years total or else you'll have to do this same process to cover the time between the expiry of FLR and the 5 years which could end up being a matter of 1 month. We used the super priority service and got a decision in 3 hours by text. To me, it was worth it for peace of mind. Plus my job was on my case about the visa so it was nice to be able to give them an answer asap.

Once again, thank you guys for all your help! Best of luck.
