The young men who insisted that she must go back home and change her revealing outfit, poured water on her and taunted her around the park. The lady however pushed back and asked why they were “embarrassing” her. shocked

As people flocked to the scene, the lady conceded and boarded a bike to leave.
the girls outfit was out of place though ...but the foolish hypocrites shaming the shameless girls are idiots ......A typical Nigerian sinner will cover up his lesser sin and judge his neighbors sin as being worst .....the guy pouring the girl water is an idiot ....he has no obligation and right to do that .....tht was an affront and abuse of the indecent girl .....she is of a discerning age to know her level of incivility........those idiots hypocrite shaming her might even be hyper sexual of her body hence the contentious issues with her body .....bcus if I don't have or see anything of value in u why should I bother myself about u.....give those he goats in video this girl in secret they will so Bleep her .......

It look like you are an economic graduate, pls tell us how can Nigeria get out of this economic crises & free fall of d naira.
ok boss..
just tell tunubu to
open up the rifinaries (to reduce transportation cost....and in turn reduce food prices
Open the boders and give some form of import quotas( to bring up excess food supply it will curb excesses of greedy sellers who capitalize unavailability of goods
Set up active security measures to check the actions of rampaging herdsmen
.....jack up the intrest rate .....and credit reserve ratios of bank so as to reduce the money supply (monetary policy)
Creat an enabling environment by providing tax reforms
So as to promote local production and industries

The summations of all these will go a long way in bringing back the value of naira....

All this economic theories does work in reality, they said food is scarce but go to d market d market is not empty it is full with rice, beans, garri, tomatoes etc but d high prices reduces d quantity demanded, making d market not to be empty of food.
Don't forget those marketers has unions who fixed high prices for goods, you cannot sell lesser even if you sell @ lesser prices you dnt have enough supply to crash down d prices.
That is why BUA cement cannot sell his cement @ #3,500 to crash d market BUA production or supply is not high enough to meet national demand has 17% market share while dangote cement has 60% market share.
bross food is scarce due to limitations in supply .....the demand is now more than the supply for food hence the inflation ......meanwhile due to this limited supply patterns of food the remaining available food is now being sold to the sellers at higher prices.....since they don't want to loose they will place the overhead cost (vat) on the prices thereby making me and u to pay the deficits(inflation).....based on ur argument.....about food not being scarce ....hope u know state like Niger state has band movement of goods out of the state ...also some norther state have place restrictions of movement of supply from their state.......to finally state my points pls read up the meaning of inflation .......due to limited supply of foods the purchasing power (value of money) becomes eroded ......today farmers can not farm .....all GDP accurals .....and balance of trade of Nigeria is at the deficits ....we don't produce we consume ...the limited supply result to high inflation cost.....

Solution .......once the border is opened people will now go and access these good at lesser cost which will necessitate reduction in cost per sale .....this since the average consumer knows the market very well..(perfect market) ...no market union or trader can set or fix an arbitrary price ......

No same people will want to sell @ a loss..they will hoard it till it is scarce especially for product with high shelve life.
No na ......when you decide to hoard ur good despite being of an inelastic nature ......when aggregate supply exceeds aggregate demand .....due to market surplus ur MR (marginal revenue will be less than ur MC ....marginal cost ) based on. This ....u will be forced to sell ....during surplus ....price will fall .... hoarding of good will either backfire the seller since he need to wait for a long time before he can make profit ........trust me if the border is open give this inflation 3 months food prices will fall

.......cause I remember in economics when there is excess supply over demand the excess abnormal price will fall back to it's equilibrium position ...due to forces of the invisible hands ......so pls explain ur own economics to me .......thus based of the foregoing opening of the border will act as curative measure to the hyper or galloping inflation currently destroying the currency......

If the farmers in the state produce "more that normally" as u are projecting, would scarcity of food be experiencing in the state?

If you a father of four children and u have 3 bags of rice now, will you sell them all because the prices of rice skyrocketed in the market? Is that rational way of making bountiful profit?

Won't you keep it to go round the family interim until things come down to normally?

If they open gate and all the farm produces sold off in Niger State to other states, what would be the faith of citizens going forward? Remember this is early February o.

IF YOU HINGE UR ARGUMENT ON ILLEGALITY OF BLOCKING SALES WITHIN NIGERIA TERRITORY, THATS IS NORMALLY, BUT YOUR ARGUMENT UP THERE IS PURE IRRATIONAL AND ILLOGICAL.

if the same policy announced in India or advanced countries now, you would praise them that they are leaders who know how to take care of their citizens, but in Naija, you are wailing as usual.

Politics / Re: Niger Bans Bulk Sale Of Food Items, Orders Confiscation Of Trucks Carrying Food by efemena5050(m): 6:05am On Feb 10
malali:
This is an Intelligent Decision by Niger state Governor.

Controlling the open market to prevent bulk buyers from causing scarcity for small retail buyers involves implementing various measures and strategies:

Regulatory Policies: Implement regulations to prevent hoarding and price manipulation by bulk buyers. This may include setting limits on the quantity of goods an individual or entity can purchase within a specific timeframe.

Market Monitoring: Establish mechanisms for monitoring market activities to detect irregularities such as hoarding or price gouging. This could involve regulatory bodies, market surveillance teams, or technology-driven solutions like data analytics to track market trends and detect anomalies.

Price Controls: Consider implementing price controls or price ceilings on essential food items to prevent excessive price hikes that disproportionately affect small retail buyers. However, this approach should be carefully implemented to avoid unintended consequences such as black markets or reduced supply due to unprofitability.

Supply Chain Management: Improve supply chain management to ensure efficient distribution of goods from producers to retailers. This includes addressing logistical challenges, improving infrastructure, and promoting transparency and fairness in the supply chain.

Support for Small Retailers: Provide support and incentives for small retailers to enhance their purchasing power and competitiveness. This could include access to credit, training programs, and cooperative purchasing arrangements to leverage economies of scale.

Market Information: Facilitate access to timely and accurate market information for both bulk buyers and small retailers. This empowers market participants to make informed decisions and reduces the likelihood of sudden shortages or price spikes.

Promote Competition: Encourage competition in the market by reducing barriers to entry for new players and fostering a diverse supplier base. This can help mitigate the dominance of large bulk buyers and create a more level playing field for small retailers.

Public Awareness and Education: Raise public awareness about responsible consumption practices and the impact of hoarding on market stability. Educating consumers about their rights and responsibilities can help foster a culture of fair trade and discourage speculative behavior.

By implementing a combination of regulatory measures, market monitoring, supply chain improvements, support for small retailers, and promoting competition and consumer education, authorities can better control the open market and mitigate the adverse effects of bulk buyers on small retail buyers.
Nigerians and always trying hard to sound so intelligent.,..have u thought of the Negatives....ur just writing epistles.....hope u know the concept of DEFLATION IN ECONOMICS....... sustainable development can never be achieved domestically.....Niger state operate in deflationary tendencies thus banning market interaction within it's enclaves will worsen the deflationary terms ...leading to food surplus with shortage in purchasing power ......sellers will be the worst hit ......due to food surplus ......and fall in aggregate demand which will in turn make price to fall below price index in the state .....the sellers will curse tht government . Meanwhile for market monitoring et al......they are not feasibility and sustainable bcus checkmating the excesses of markets most time don't work since price remains in regulated due to invisible forces .....
