The Olympics, in theory, are a place where politics stay outside the stadium, where athletes contend for his or her country without the baggage of petty grievances. It’s a pleasant theory. The truth is that military and political disputes that dot the whole planet usually sweep up innocent athletes in their tornado, and also the International Olympic Committee (IOC) will express views as partisan as any nation. However from time to time, politics will prove a net positive; because the IOC is demonstrating with the creation of a team (refugee) entirely composed of refugees from devastated and economically ravaged countries.

The refugee team will march and contend under the 2016 Olympic flag, and includes ten athletes: 2 from Syria, 5 from South Sudan, 2 from Democratic Republic of Congo and 1 from Ethiopia. The team will field competitors in athletics, judo, and swimming.

“These refugee athletes have no home, no flag, no team, no national anthem,” [/i]Thomas Bach, IOC President said.

[i]“The invention of this refugee team is to provide them a home in the Olympic village along with all the athletes around the world.”

The refugee team is going to be housed in the Olympic Village, and will be given all the honours accorded other countries, as well as a spot in the opening and closing ceremonies. The refugee team will march in just ahead Brazil, the host.

Mrs. Aisha Buhari also said she sued Ekiti State Governor, Governor Ayodele Fayose, because of his incessant attacks and false allegations against her for no reason.

She said Mr. Fayose had been insulting her and the president since the 2015 presidential campaign for no reason.
“At the time, he was not the only one insulting us, but people felt that it was simply campaign,” Mrs. Buhari said.
“After the election, which we won and they lost everyone else moved on except him and he extended his insults to me.
“I did not run for president. I am a wife and i have never mentioned his name. I never knew him, but as governor and chief executive of Ekiti State. He kept insulting and raising false allegations against me, I even have to reply and i decided to go to court.
“He made allegations over what he said I did here in US, despite the fact that I have never met the people he mentioned.”

Similarly, Fayose had dared Mrs. Buhari to go to the United States after he accused her of having been indicted in William Jefferson bribery scandal.
The governor insisted the Mrs Buhari’s was mentioned in the scam even when newspapers investigation showed clearly she was not the Aisha Buhari mentioned in the case.

Lagos monarch, Oniba of Ibaland,Lagos, Oba Goriola Oseni who was recently abducted by unknown gunmen has regained his freedom, following the arrest of the kidnappers leader.

According to Fatai Owoseni, the Lagos State Police Commissioner, who confirmed the Lagos Monarch’s release on Saturday night, the leader of the kidnappers had been arrested. Recall that the kidnappers had demanded the sum of five hundred million naira ransom which the Oba’s family members said they could not afford.

Oba Yushau Goriola Oseni,a top traditional ruler in Lagos was abducted 11:30pm on Saturday 16 July,2016.His guard was murdered and his wife shot.

The unknown gunmen, who were suspected to be from Niger Delta, stormed the Lagos monarch’s palace in Iba area of Lagos, Southwest Nigeria at approximately 11:30pm on Saturday and took the traditional ruler away, escaping through the waterways.

It is wrong for kids to engage in this kind of activities. This is the damaging effect of poor parenting or having sex in front of your kids. Two kids were secretly recorded by unknown person and uploaded online. The kids were caught having sex at the back of a building. It is obvious that these kids might have been watching their parents making out or from the public. It is really a bad trend and totally unacceptable.

Lassa fever is a viral illness that spread by wild rodents or any infected rodent. Lassa fever is a disease from the infectious agent, Lassa virus. This fever is endemic in certain country such as Sierra Leone, Liberia, Guinea and also Nigeria. Congo, Mali and Senegal reported to have serological human infection as well. The Symptoms include malaise, fever, headache, myalgia, sore throat, cough, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, chest pain, abdominal pain. You may get these symptoms after 6 to 21 days of exposure to the virus. Below are steps you can take to prevent Lassa fever:

1) Clean your house inside and out:
Rodents will come to your house for food and water. If your house has improper food waste disposal or you don’t cover your garbage bin accurately, the mouse or any rodents will be the pest around your house and spreading the virus at the meantime. Clean your house every day inside and out to avoid any traces of infected rodents. Burn the garbage if you can or disposed it in the correct and safe procedure. Never let any food waste, litter around the house because it can attract rodents. Make sure your house is always clean and clutter free to ensure you are not providing rodents the food and place to live in your house.

2) Never clean the rodents dropping or stool, urine or dead body with bare hands:
While you are cleaning, you might discover this around your house. For your safety and to avoid the virus transmission, you have to always wear personal protective equipment while you are cleaning your house from rodents dropping, urine, secretions and the decaying dead body of the animal.
