Honda Accord??

Last week, I tried to withdraw cash from my bank. They told me that they could not attend to my request because their information system was down. I said, "so, write down my information on a piece of paper and ." They said that they could not make withdrawal until the system was back up. He told me the system had already been down for more than 7 hours and they had to keep asking customers to call back.

Of course, we all have a very heavy reliance on technology, so what do we do when that technology fails us? You need to have a plan on how you are going to run your business. Prudent business owners have backup systems in order to save their data, but they also have business continuity plans for running their business. How do we take transactions when the computer does not work? How do we ensure transactions are still on time when our information system is down? How do we keep our customers loyal in the event of a technological event? These questions i direct to the banks in particular.

So many banks do not deal with the questions above but then we talk of the CBN's new cash system. Let's hope there is never another 'server is down' snowstorm.

THE CHALLENGE OF DRIVING IN ABUJA (FCT).

Driving, generally in this part of the world has its challenges. Some of which are bad roads; as a result of improper road maintenance, total neglect, recklessness on the part of the driver or gross indiscipline. I didn’t really have it in mind to make this write up, but I believe it should go a long way in correcting some of these defects I earlier mentioned. Here, I would like to ear your views, let’s concentrate on the challenge of ‘Recklessness on the part of FCT driver’.
Has it come to your notice that majority of motorists in the FCT drive without caution? I suppose I am not the only one noticing this.

- Are you a cautious driver?
- Have you any experience earlier or of recent?
