They should get down to work and start fixing Edo State. They should not deceive themselves that it would be business as usual. Nigerians are watching. Edolites are watching. God is watching. |
You probably haven't heard the slogan “Oba nor dey go transfer”. Obaship/Kingship in Edo State is generally different from how it is in other parts of Nigeria. Legally he can but culturally or traditionally, he can not. That aside, a year into office, brother Monday is just appointing his commissioners! Na wa! Whiteshield: |
The United Kingdom shot itself in the leg with Brexit! I hope Trump is learning from Britain with his harsh policies on immigration and taxes. |
Oh, how bad leadership has set the people back for many years! I remember when Shoprite opened shop in Lagos almost 18 years ago, it was crazy. In a country that had a fountain as far back as over five decades in Tinubu Square in Lagos. Had the tallest building in Ibadan and had the first television station in Africa, long before some European countries! |
Democracy as practiced is not for Africa! We should find the right system that would work for us. This, currently practiced isn't working. It's just a waste of resources every four or five years in so-called elections. |
You have to consider the number of interstate highways that pass through a particular state and the volume of traffic plying those roads, especially in Ogun and Kaduna states. |
What is Nigeria waiting for? When will we reciprocate for the abysmally short three-month visa being issued to us, compared to the five years they continue to get to visit Nigeria? |
The next Nobel Peace Prize could go to President Trump if he can bring Putin to stop the war against Ukraine. |
Given another five years from now, I hope the world will not be back striking another peace deal after another fight! |
To confirm, he should first travel by road from Abuja to Kaduna, to and fro to his village without a police escort. |
Leeches! This is how people leech off you when you have something to offer them and then unplug if you have nothing left to give. |
So Wike hasn't given up on PDP? I thought this man had let go of the party. One thing about vengeance is that it always boomerangs. |
Changing seats in a moving bus may change the view but not its destination. |
Nigerians should just face the reality of Tinubu serving out his eight years of two terms, unless otherwise. |
Fourteen thousand, ke? It's probably fourteen hundred or one hundred and fourteen, etc. Brother Monday has a history of reading figures incorrectly. |
Yielding the type of results they expect from him but are honest enough to tell us how it is negatively affecting the ordinary Nigerian. Meanwhile, our elected or selected politicians are everywhere singing “on your mandate we shall stand” while people are dying of hunger. |
The desperation that fuels crime at home and abroad shouldn't be ignored by the government! Why are Nigerians suddenly gravitating to committing crime wherever they are domiciled? |
Rufai is practicing advocacy journalism, not like the regular journalists who act neutral in matters of national or political interests. In his case, you already know his stance on the issue he wants to interview you on. Like a consular officer who by default doesn't want to issue you a visa, it's left for you to prove to him why you think you qualify for one, and so is Rufai. Watch Christiana Amanpour or Becky Anderson of those days on CNN. |
You've brought ethnicity into this matter now to derail the thread. Who told you that I am Igbo? This is the mistake most of you are making, thinking that any voice of dissent must be Igbo! What does that tell you? That the Igbos might just be the only true and honest ethnic group in Nigeria without compromising facts. Burob: |
And it quickly turned into an open but subtle display of cultism and voodooism! |
Which court are they waiting for before they take the necessary action, the same court that has refused to give a clear verdict on President Tinúbu’s certificate saga to this day, or another one? Dey play! |
Peter Öbi is the only politician who deserves my vote today whether he wins or not. Voting for him is not wasted as is commonly insinuated. Any party he chooses to run on is his choice regardless. Tinubû can continue dishing out sǔffering on Nigeria all he wants. |
Peter Obi is the only politician who deserves my vote today whether he wins or not. Voting for him is not wasted as is commonly insinuated. Any party he chooses to run on is his choice regardless. Tinubu can continue dishing out suffering on Nigeria all he wants. |
I don't know how Ibadan brown roof became derogatory but for me, it's what makes the city unique. Last year, I took my guests from America to the zoo in UI, though unfortunately, there weren't any animals of attraction to see, one thing that fascinated them was the uniqueness of the city layout especially with the brown roof. Instead of the people and government of Oyo state reacting over the matter of brown roof, they should see it as their selling point for tourism or branding with it. IamAsiri: |
Enugu to Asaba or Agnor. From either Asaba or Agbor to Uromi. From Uromi to Auchi. Enugu to Benin. Benin to Auchi. 👆I recommend this route since it's your first time. |
When a government property gets burned like this, it's likely an arson attack to hide a considerable fraud. |
Was this due to the fear of insecurity on the road if the driver stopped to allow him to pee or was he just being stupîd? |
Devoid of the normal brown zinc roof Ibadan is known for. This is beautiful. |
Must Portable be controversial? I believe he can be gentlemanly for once. |
You will never fully understand Nigeria, no matter how it's explained to you. I worry about what the future holds for this country. |
You need to drive through Ikotun to Igando to catch a picture of how dirty Lagos has become! I had the privilege of driving through some routes yesterday while in search of cooking gas to buy, and I am like, “Men, what is happening to Lagos?” ccollins: |
