A car crashed into barriers outside Britain’s Houses of Parliament in a suspected terror attack on Tuesday, injuring a “number of pedestrians” yards from where five people were killed last year.

Police said they had arrested the driver, in his late 20s, and were holding him on suspicion of terrorist offences.

“At this stage, we are treating this as a terrorist incident,” said Scotland Yard, adding that none of the injuries are believed to be “life-threatening”.

Footage shows the silver Ford Fiesta veering across an intersection, hitting a number of cyclists and pedestrians, before speeding into a barrier outside the Houses of Parliament at 7.37 am (0637 GMT).

ENUGU—LEADER of the Biafra Zionists Federation, BZF, Barr. Benjamin Onwuka has issued a one-week ultimatum to the Federal Government to release all pro-Biafra detainees at various prison formations across the country.

The Advanced Peoples Democratic Alliance (APDA) and New African Democratic Congress (N-ADC), a splinter group from African Democratic Congress (ADC), on Saturday, announced their merger as Advanced Republicans (AR) party.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the merger, which came three days after the formation of N-ADC, was the outcome of a meeting of executives of both parties late Friday night, ending at dawn on Saturday, in Abuja.

ADC members, who pulled out to form N-ADC, had explained that they did so because they did not want to be part of Coalition of United Political Parties (CUPP) and that ADC leadership signed onto the alliance without consulting stakeholders.......

A 17-year-old girl, Ramatu Tafida, has cut off the manhood of her 25-year-old boy friend, Mr Abdullahi Sabo, in Jigawa, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence (NSCDC) has said.

AC Adamu Shehu, the corps Spokesman in the state, who confirmed this to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Dutse on Saturday, said the incident occurred in Babura Local Government Area of the state.

Shehu said the victim, a resident of Kofar Gabas and a teacher at Government Girls Secondary School Babura engaged under N-Power.
“The incident occurred on Thursday in Babura when the attention of our officers was drawn by a Good Samaritan who informed them that some youths were about to lynch a girl in Kofar Arewa, the residence of the suspect, to revenge for their friend.......

The crisis rocking the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Delta State has deepened as over 1000 of its members in Agbarha-Otor Ward in Ughelli North Local Government Area Friday defected to the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

The decampees specifically joined the PDP from over four factions of the APC.
