Update on Luxsun Hybrid Inverters:
I recently had an interaction with their major distributor in Nigeria and he gave a detailed explanation about their products. I thereafter got a 4.2Kva to confirm his claims and I must say that it lived up to expectations, The 4.2kva 24v hybrid inverter powered heavy appliances like electric kettle 2300w, pressing iron, pumping machine, etc but not all at once. The fan doesn’t run at startup until there’s 50% load. They have various capacities like 3.6kva 4.2kva - 24v, 5.5kva, 6.2kva, 8kva - 48v. Obviously the BMS has been programmed to cut off at 24v , that is 3v per cell .If the bms is not a smart bms where you can edit the settings, there is nothing you can do.Except you are willing to consult people like @Dam5rey and a couple of others here to help you open it and change to smart bms.

Please guys I have an issue. There is this blue carbon lithum battery installed with luxsun 4.2kwh 24v inveter. The users says the battery off at 24v it does not go below that. I have reduced the inveter 24v low dc cut off voltage to 21v but it still goes of at 24v. I checked online and found that blue carbon batterie has 20-24v bms cut off voltage. The battery has a dumb bms. Is there any solution on how to reduce it more or the blue carbon batteries is like that??

Since I’ll be using a sachet inverter and a pwm, will it be enough to charge the 100ah Lifepo4 with 200w load simultaneously?

Also forgive my dumb question, why do people buy tubular batteries when the lifepo4 equivalent is only slightly higher in price? Is there a disadvantage to using lifepo4? I’m asking cause I’ve only used Tubular and Lead since 2020. I don’t know much about these things.


Lastly, which is better? Four 250w Canadian-used poly panels? Or one 650w Jinko mono panel?

The sachet inveter will be enough. But the pwm will be the major issue for it to charge your battery and carry your load. As I say before for pwm to work your have to buy thick 16mm wires o. Beacsue it's only parallel connection it accepts.

There is no disadvantages of lipo4 over tabular. It is all misconception. It's just a new technology which is long lasting and better than tabular.
The 250w will give you 1000w and 0ne jinko is 650w if the jinko is direct from fouani which is original you will need two of it to get to 1000w+

Are 4 units of the standard used 250w poly Canadian solar panels enough to charge a 220ah tubular battery during the day and still carry max load of 200w simultaneously before sunset using a PWM CC?

For someone looking to buy a new tubular battery at the range of 250-300k, what’s the best lifepo4 alternative for around the same price even if the price is sightly higher?

Question1 if you connect 240w all in parallel due to pwm standard specification you will get 1000w at stp. But if we want to give actual real life fact your pwm will be over expensive to run. I.e because of pwm you will need to parallel the panels thereby getting upto 25-40amps currentt flowing through your wires,so for it not to burn you have to go for 16mm dc cables. If you go for mppt you just series all of them, 6mm cables will be adequate.
Question1b. On paper 1000w should be able to charge your 220 ah battery to full in 2.6 hours but practically 3+ hours will surface and the rest can be use to carry the 200w load.
N.b the above applies if the solar panels are able to generate 1000w because many panels fail to give there normal ratings. So can't even generate 50% of its intended capacity.
Question 2. The lifepo4 equivalent is 12v 100ah battery. Good ones will cost you more between 280-320k.

Meanwhile what I noticed from your 2.5kwh battery is that it hardly gets charged to 100% in a day (From ur previous SOCs posted), I doubt if your current set up can even charge a 5kwh to 100% in day.

Gbamsoutely. All the pictures he posted has never been 95% to 100%. Either the battery settings from the inveter is wrong or the the generated solar power is inadequate

We are not telling you to buy it because we think we want you to wasting your money, we are telling you to buy dc cables because if you don't, all the solar panel power you got will be zero. The importance of the dc cable to transfer current and voltage cannot be over emphasize, and you said you use two batteries, those two batteries will be needing 20amps minimum to charge well. And the ac cables which can even work with solar panels well are those one that you connect from the nepa line into your house not those one on your socket.

Infact I had to loosen my discarded laptop battery to make sense of the whole thing, then boom, the laptop own is understandable to an extent, infact I just used today trying to understand the ones you guys run here and I still don’t get it. Trying to unlearn something is difficult I guess.

I understand the mathematics around it, but I don’t understand why some connections need to be done at different joints and all that; the way you guys do yours.

Bro this your inverer solar iside is very poor. As the others have said, get an external mppt of 60amp. You can use powmr or other brands in the market. Then connect all in series since 60amp is by 150vdc.

It's an hybrid inverter, 60a mppt.

The inverter is a 12v inverter with a maximum voltage of 50v, meaning I can't run the 3 panels in series because each panel is about 25v.

Is there a way I can run the panels to produce at most 30a?

Please pardon me to ask what is the name and model number of the hybrid inverter, because I have not seen any 60amp hybrid mppt inverter having 50v maximum voltage. Others I have seen are 60amps by 150v, 40amps by 150v.. then single controller are 20amps by 50v , 30amps 75v, 40amps by 100v..please post the name and model.

Am using a 16v adapter with 20amps controller everything seems fine right now.

I didn't know that you can connect laptop charger to pwm controller to charge your battery.

Please I need help with adding a single panel to a current setup.

Purpose of addition is to increase charge Amps, so battery can be fully charged before 12 PM and load usage during sunlight.

Current setup ( 12 volts system ) : 2 x 335 watt panel connected in parallel with Voc of 46 volt and 40 amps mppt charge controller with max voltage of 150v delivering around 20 amps.

Battery is 12v 172 amps Lifepo4

What size of single panel should be added and what panel connection is required for optimal performance?
