I've been using Honda for more than 10yrs now and have never had a ball joint pull. Coincidentally, just 3days ago, I saw a 2006 Corolla on the middle of the road with one front leg forming rebel.
Point is, maintenance is key. Don't ignore any abnormal sound for long. Change your ball joint every one-two years depending on the quality of the one you have installed and how roughly you used the car. New OEM ones are quite expensive, so I use foreign used OEM ones and replace them every year depending on how I use the car. Just pay attention and you will never be stranded.

Very great car. I currently use EOD and since my purchase, I have never had any leg pull neither have I been stranded. Since I know that the double wishbone that the Honda leg uses is not as reliable as the MacPherson found in other vehicles, I give more attention to it by always checking it's condition every month and go for a replacement between 6-8months depending on my vehicle usage and road condition. All the replaced ones are in my toolbox and a very much in good condition as well but I still change them just to ensure I do due diligence.

Also, if your shock, lower/upper arm bushing, engine and gear mount isn't in good condition, it might also impact negatively on your ball joint.

The secret to all it for me is to have a very good maintenance culture and attention to details. If you wish to cut corners or you lack maintenance culture, Honda vehicles will deal with you terribly.

My biggest concern with this car is the lower or upper arm failure, in country like ours, one won’t want to be be stranded at certain times or places

Please how best to maintain these parts and not experience this failure as I think Honda accord is very superior to its rival

A car of about 25years ago.... When I further investigate, I discovered that he's not the actual owner... The owner gave him to sell on his behalf.

I put it to him directly that... Can you buy this type of a car with it hard earned 2M ... E no fit answer me.

I saw a big daddy here on nairaland and the person called it 4M last... I was even pricing it 3.3M.. he said NO and that it's 3.8M last.. and I was like .. no problem

The funniest aspect is that I miraculously met the actual owner of the car on jiji 😂... I had to engage him very well to know if he's really the actual owner of the car... He was about to convince me that he is... I now then went back to the previous guy here on nairaland... He was still insisting that if I'm ready.. I shld come for inspection and I shld not disturb him further and that he can only send me the pictures of the car.. and the actual owner did a live video of the car for me instantly oo

The wonderful thing was that.. the car was actually posted on jiji 3.2M and the werey when ahead to copy and post here for 4M.. and still dey do shakara.

Anyways... I eventually got the car from the actual owner 2.9M.

I will suggest if anybody wants to get a car... Try and get from the actual source.. cuz all these so called dealers and intermediary marketers are theives...

I have changed the engine mounts. When the AC is not on, the engine doesn’t shake. So I don’t think it is the engine mount

Get that same electrician to undo whatever he did on the AC it’s very important (be very stern) … he was obviously a quack.. now what made you work on the AC in the first place
