2023: FEAR OF DEFEAT GRIPS OUR MOCKERS YET AGAIN

The PDP Council Chairman of Etche Local Government Area, Hon. Obinna Anyanwu, has ordered the sealing of the Tipper Park at Okomoko, hours after the LGA Chapter of the All Progressives Congress played host to the kick-off of the State-wide Gubernatorial campaigns of Arc. Tonye Cole , Mni and his Deputy, Dr. Innocent Bariate Barikor .

The announcement of the closure of the Park was aired on the 6pm news bulletin of Rhythm 93.7 FM in Port Harcourt this evening.

Clearly intimidated and confounded by the overwhelming turnout of Etche APC faithful at the campaign grounds, the anti-democratic elements who blocked traditional campaign venues across the State via the draconian Executive Orders 21 and 22 issued by Governor Nyesom Wike, could have forced the hands of the Council Chairman, a younger brother to the APC State House of Assembly candidate for Etche Constituency 2, Hon Charles Anyanwu, to seal the Park.

Ironically, the same PDP mocked at the decision of the APC to host the governorship campaign Rally at the Tipper Park today.

Speaking at the Rally, Charles Anyanwu assured the party and Etche people of victory for the All Progressives Congress at the February 25 and March 2023 general elections. "I have never lost elections in my life. We have always worked to deliver them and we will win them. Tonye Cole, our governorship candidate should go home and sleep", he roared to the tumultuous cheer of the intimidating crowd of party faithful.

MY GOVERNMENT WILL TURN ETCHE INTO AN ECONOMIC HUB - TONYE COLE

The Governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress APC Rivers state Pastor Tonye Cole has assured Etche people of speedy development if he is elected and sworn into office come may this year.

The candidate of the party Tonye Cole gave this assurance while flagging off his campaign exercise in Chokocho in Etche Local Government area of Rivers State. He said it's sad that Etche being one of the local government areas that has contributed to the economic strength of the state, will be relegated and deprived of development because of politics.

"Because you have chosen to affiliate with us, the State Govt has denied you what is rightfully yours".

"I am here to assure you that your steadfastness will not be in vain.

"You stood for respect and dignity, When we form government, we shall treat you with the respect and dignity you have shown".

Cole added that Governor wike and the PDP having tried every means to ensure that APC is not on the ballot but failed. After failing in the courts they tried a different option of executive orders to stop them from campaigning.

"Wike has tried all he can to stop us from participating in this election by using the court but here we are today"

"They came and lied that we would not be on the ballot, they said inec will not recognise us. But we are here on ground to tell you that we on the ballot and we are campaigning".

Also speaking, the APC Chairman in the State High Chief Emeka Beke
called on Etche people to vote themselves out of the political bondage that Governor Nyesom Wike has put them by voting all the APC candidates come May 27th.

"I am speaking as the chairman of this party; God has told me we are going to win this election". He appealed to Etche people to take advantage of the ongoing Voter's card collection exercise to collect their PVC.

Speaking on behalf of other flag bearers for State and national assembly, Senatorial candidate representing Rivers South East, Engr. Ndubuisi Nwankwo, promised that if elected, they are going to use their offices to canvas for the development of Etche and Rivers State at large.

The campaign train earlier paid a visit to the paramount ruler of Etche land. The team also visited the popular etche market for sensitization.

Eze Kicks as INEC Lists Landmark Hotel, Visa Karena Hotel, Others Belonging to Top PDP Chieftains as Registration Area Centers (RAC) in Port Harcourt City Local Government Area

Erstwhile National Publicity Secretary of the defunct New People’s Democratic Party (nPDP) and Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, Chief Eze Chukwuemeka Eze has kicked against the enlistment of hotels owned by top chieftains of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Rivers State as Registration Area Centers (RAC) in Port Harcourt City Local Government Area by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for the stockpiling of sensitive materials and collation of unit results in the 2023 general elections.

In a statement made available to media houses in Port Harcourt, the party Chief said a peep into the list of Registration Area Collation Centers (RACC) and Registration Area Centres (RAC) for Port Harcourt City LGA released by INEC reveals that Landmark Hotels owned by Sen. Olaka Nwogu, a former Federal Lawmaker and ally of Wike and Visa Karena Hotel, owned by Chief Sergeant Chidi Awuse, another PDP stalwart and Wike’s henchman, featured as RAC for Orominieke and Oroworukwo communities.

Others are White Palace Hotel, Bebec Hotel, Hotel Dance, Comfort Hotel, White House Hotel, Maas Central Hotel, Danny T. Hotel Orange Sea Hotel, Stanza Guest House, Thailand Place, Mainland Hotel, Ilo Garden Hotel, Mina Hotel, Otunkwe Guest House and Rachael Hotel. The ownership or management of the aforelisted hotels are directly or indirectly linked to the PDP and Gov. Wike, therefore shortlisting them as RAC for the purpose of the 2023 elections will undermine the status of INEC and as an unbiased umpire and jeopardize the commission’s reputation built over the years.

Eze called on the commission to rescind and withdraw its approval of the properties owned by members of the PDP for use as Registration Area Centers (RAC) and revert to the use of public schools or community halls as is the case in other local government areas.

“Same purpose for which the above-listed private properties were approved can be taken care of by government schools and town halls in the area such as Oroworukwo Town Hall, RumuWoji Town Hall, State School, Elekahia, State School, Orominieke, Ogbumnuabali Town Hall etc”.

Expressing confidence that INEC and its officials will remain neutral in the discharge of the commission responsibilities, Eze reminded officers of the commission that INEC is at the glare of the world and should be courageous to do the right thing at all times and provide a level playing ground, secure the commissions’s image and protect Nigeria’s nascent democracy.

EFCC SEARCHLIGHT ON SIM FUBARA

ABUJA FEDERAL HIGH COURT ORDERS SERVICE ON SIM FUBARA WITHIN 7 DAYS, AS GROUP VOWS TO RECOVER MISSING RIVERS STATE 117B NAIRA.

A Federal High Court sitting in Abuja, today Tuesday 22nd November 2022 has granted leave of Service, via newspaper publication within seven (7) days, on the Governorship Candidate of People's Democratic Party (PDP), and former Accountant General in the Rivers State Civil service, Mr. Sim Fubara, over One Hundred and Seventeen Billion (117,000.000.000.00), withdrawal and missing Rivers State money.

The group "Initiative For Transparent Strategy And Good Leadership), had earlier approached a Federal High Court in Abuja, seeking an order mandating and compelling the Economic And Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), to carry out its lawful statutory duties into the pending uninvestigated suspicious of criminal conspiracy, money laundering misappropriation of public funds by Mr.Sim Fubara, as the then Accountant General in Rivers State.

Given the foregoing, the Court in its wisdom has graciously granted a leave of Service to plaintiffs in the case between Initiative For Transparent Strategy And Good Leadership, Attorney General of Rivers State, Economic, and Financial Crimes Commission EFCC, and Mr.Sim Fubara, in the case of the missing 117billion.

The group had earlier lamented over the refusal and failure of the Rivers State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, to comply with the request to make available the information under his custody, which authorized Mr.Sim Fubara by the Rivers State government to physically access and withdraw the said whopping amount, to the tune of One Hundred and Seventeen Billion.

With the development provided by the court, asking the defendants in the matter to be served within seven days, Rivers people are hoping that the court will do the needful, to expedite action and ensure speedy dispensation of justice, to guide electorates appropriately ahead of the coming gubernatorial election in Rivers State.

UNITY HOUSE FOUNDATION (UHF) INTENSIFIES PRESSURE ON AMAECHI TO CONTEST FOR PRESIDENT COME 2023.

Today, the Cross River State chapter of Unity House Foundation, (UHF) hosted a sensitization walk in the city of Calabar to call on the Honourable Minister for Transportation, Rt. Hon Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, the Dan Amanar Daura to contest for the office of president of the federal republic of Nigeria in the 2023 general election.

The walk started from 11:11 Calabar road, through Mary slessor roundabout, to Rabana roundabout IBB way through the stadium back to 11:11.

While addressing the media, the national chairman of the UHF, Mr Chima Onuoha said the UHF like other well meaning Nigerians who have followed the track record of Chibuike Amaechi right from his days as speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly know that he is a transformative leader. He said the UHF was in Calabar to sensitize Nigerians on the need to join the call for CRA to offer himself to contest for the office of president of Nigeria because Nigerians can't afford to miss a leader like Amaechi at this point in the history of our national development.

The UHF state chairmen of Rivers (Mr Justice Ezenbunwa) , Akwa- Ibom (Ubong Essien) and Cross- River state (Austin Ayaji) respectively also lended their voices in the call for Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi to declare and contest for the office of president.

Senator Osinakachukwu Ideozu was born on July 27, 1965 into the Ideozu Family of Ahoada Town in Ahoada East Local Government Area of Rivers State. He is currently a member of the Nigerian Senate where he represents the good & peace loving people of Rivers West Senatorial District.

Osinakachukwu Ideozu is 53 years old.

Early Life

Ideozu began his early education at the St Paul’s State School completing his primary education in 1976. In 1982, he graduated from Western Ahoada County High School, Ahoada. upon completion of his secondary education travelled to the United Kingdom for further studies at the then famous St. Aldates College, Oxford. He however returned to Nigeria, and got admitted to the Rivers State University of Science & Technology, Port Harcourt where he studied Estate Management and graduated in 1989 with a First Class Honours Degree.

Ideozu holds three masters degree. One in Business Administration (MBA) Degree in Finance and Banking from the University of Port Harcourt, Rivers State. Second In 2008, he obatined another in Environmental Management from the Enugu State University (ESUT), and the third in 2010 from the University College of London, where he majored in Public Policy. And A Doctorate Degree (PhD) in Urban Development.

Career:

Ideozu was briefly employed as a Graduate Assistant at the Rivers State University of Science & Technology upon the completion of his NYSC. He is a Chartered Estate Surveyor and Valuer who was certified by the Estate Surveyors and Valuers Registration Board of Nigeria (ESVABON) and he is a member of the Nigerian Institution of Estate Surveyors and Valuers (NIESV). He was the Overall Best Candidate in the 2004 Direct Finals Examination conducted by the Nigerian Institution of Estate Surveyors and Valuers (NIESV) where he was also the best candidate and winner of the subject prizes for both Property Development, Rating and Taxation.

Due to his passion to serve his people, he got into politics and was first elected into the Rivers State House of Assembly, Port Harcourt in 1999 under the banner of the then All Peoples Party (APP) to represent the Ahoada East Constituency One where his dexterity stood him out and he became the Minority Whip of the then young Assembly.

In 2003, he contested and won the ticket to represent the People of the Abua/Odual and Ahoada East Federal Constituency at the Federal House of Representative.

Four years later, he returned to serve the People of Rivers State as the Honourable Commissioner for Finance where he elevated prudent spending of public fund to an unprecedented height.

In 2015, he got elected to represent the good & peace loving people of Rivers West senatorial district at the senate in Abuja.

A successful businessman, Ideozu’s professional and occupational interests include public policy and decision making, infrastructural development and investment cost recovery.

Personal Life:
