Health / LASU 71st Inaugural Lecture: Expert Highlights How Health Problem Can Be Solved by Ekohotblog(m): 12:06pm On Oct 09, 2019
The Professor of Health Education, Faculty of Education, Basirat Olushola Oladipupo has highlighted how health problems can be solved in the country.

She gave the insight while delivering her lecture at the Lagos State University (LASU) 71st Inaugural Lecture on Tuesday.

Speaking on the topic: “Goodie Bag Of Health Problems: Health Educator The Town Crier”, the health education professor disclosed that health issues in the country are alarming and need urgent attention from both government and the individuals.

According to her, health is wealth and all hands must be on deck to sustain a good health care system in the country.

She also argued the need for a change of attitude to healthy living by Nigerians.

She recommended things to be done to reduce health problems to the barest minimum in the country highlighting waste management as one the solution in solving the menace, urging the government to enacts and enforces laws on that put society in check and also reduce health problems in the country.

However, the attacks, unlike previous ones, gave rise to reprisal attacks here in Nigeria as some businesses perceived to be owned by South Africans were attacked.
Nigerians in South Africa who had enough decided to return to home and Air Peace came to the rescue by providing free airlift to fellow Nigerians

One of Nigeria’s leading social and philanthropic clubs, Eko Club International has entered another paradigm in its quest to leave impacts in the lives of people and society.

This came with the reelection on Saturday, September 14, in San Antonio Texas, the United State of America, the Club’s president, Lanre Ojo, for another term.

The election was a major highlight of the club’s 11th recently concluded biennial conference.

In his post-election speech, Ojo admonished the members not to relent in their quest to make a difference in the lives of the needy, an attribute he said has been a lifestyle with the organisation from inception.

It needs to be noted that the organisation has been at the forefront of making lives more meaningful to the underprivileged through the provision of numerous projects both in the United States of America and in Lagos.

Motorcycle riders and Residents of Lagos State have reacted to the new policies being put in place to regulate the operations of riders in the state.

The new policies which are yet to be made public have got many riders and residents frightened as they are unaware of the length of impact the policies will have on ease of transportation and livelihood.

Although the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-olu, said the polices would assist the state to address the spate of accidents and irresponsible use of motorcycles, this statement did little to curb the worries of the residents and okada riders.

In the wake of this, Ekohotblog took to the street to sample the opinions of Residents and Okada riders on the possible effect of the new government policy.

Lawal’s assertion is coming on the heels of Xenophobic attacks against foreigners in South Africa of which Nigerian nationals have been major victims.

Former House Of Representatives in Epe, Hon. Adeleke Fariu-Arebi, has decried the removal of the cables supplying power to the street lights in the community, harping on the imperativeness of the lights in the community.

Fariu-Arebi who registered his displeasure and that of the entire Epe community while speaking with EkoHot Blog reporter on the issue, alleged that the vandalization was politically motivated.
