jazzman7711:Thats a defeatist argument , Show the pictures of IT hubs and modern Infrastructure .Any western idiots will show the Makoko slum and says this is Nigeria and Lagos as a whole . India is never a heaven ,but they are getting something right . |
India is the fastest growing major economy in world at 8.4 in last quarter , Check out all stats from world bank to IMF. What Modi achieved is truly remarkable in short span of 10 years , India has lot more to go as it will be third largest economy of the world in 2 years . Lets hope Nigeria will be truly great ,by following on footsteps of two Asian giants ,Instead of blindly following western countries . Iam based in India for past 15 years and i can witness the transformation going on . |
Useless advice from useless person |
Both projects are not comparable, since the Indian one has tunnels as well many interchanges I have seen Mumbai project video and it is truly a wonderful project. We need more infrastructure in Nigeria, people just need to get out of negative mindset and support development instead of relying only on subsidised things . Development of infrastructure is the only path for Nigeria to attain prosperity |
We need to have strong relationship with India and china ,they are the one driving the world economy. |
Dive into the world of foreign exchange reserves, explaining what they are, why countries hold them, and highlighting the top reserve holders globally. Foreign exchange reserves, also known as forex reserves, are essentially a nation’s savings account held in foreign currencies. Countries accumulate these reserves for several reasons, including: Maintaining a stable exchange rate: By selling foreign reserves, a central bank can buy its own currency in the foreign exchange market, thus influencing the exchange rate. Managing international payments: Countries use forex reserves to settle international transactions, such as imports of goods and services. Providing a buffer during economic downturns: Forex reserves can be used to support the economy during times of financial crisis. Top 10 Foreign Exchange Reserve Holders (as of Dec’23) The list is dominated by Asian economies, with China holding the top spot by a significant margin. Here’s a breakdown of the top 10 Rank Country Foreign Exchange Reserves (USD Billion) 1 China 3,238.00 2 Japan 1,160.00 3 Switzerland 780.00 4 India 623.00 5 Taiwan 571.00 6 Saudi Arabia 493.00 7 Hong Kong 426.00 8 South Korea 420.00 9 Russia 414.00 10 Brazil 323.00 Why China Reigns Supreme China’s massive forex reserves can be attributed to several factors, including: Trade surplus: China has consistently run a trade surplus, meaning it exports more goods and services than it imports. This generates a large inflow of foreign currency, which the country adds to its reserves. Foreign direct investment (FDI): China has attracted a significant amount of FDI over the years, further bolstering its forex reserves. Currency intervention: The Chinese government has intervened in the foreign exchange market to maintain a stable exchange rate for the yuan. This often involves buying US dollars, adding to the country’s reserves. The United States, the world’s largest economy, surprisingly holds a relatively low amount of forex reserves ($36.4 billion as of January 2024). This is because the US dollar is the world’s dominant reserve currency, meaning other countries hold a significant amount of US dollar-denominated assets. The composition of forex reserves can also be important. While a large portion of reserves are typically held in US dollars, other major currencies like the euro and the Japanese yen are also common. https://www.angelone.in/blog/top-countries-by-foreign-exchange-reserves Wikipedia has latest march update of all countries . https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_foreign-exchange_reserves |

After Americans never seen more clueless and dumb beings than the middle belt people. Just like American knows the senseless violence and killings are caused by guns and refuse to do anything about it ditto the middle belt people ,they know who there enemies are,but they refuse to confront them . So like a good politician after every killings. My thoughts and prayers are with deceased. |
Most probably an obedient wanting to destroy Nigeria as his leader lost the poll |
I cannot understand how poor and middle class survive in Nigeria . Majority of people will prefer to live in a ant of a country then in a giant of a country with no facilities. |
Nigeria, a country known for boastful ,naive business men, politicians and common people . People where shouting from rooftops that they have worlds largest refinery on a single train or whatever . These people forgot about availability of crude oil and remembered after the completion of the construction. How dumb people can be News like these ridicule the image of a country |

When people japa ,this is also a reason for doing . Not everything is related to money or cost of living . Do hundreds of children get kidnapped in Canada on a monthly basis ? |

Indian daily electricity production is 215 GW or 215,000 MW, for a population of 1.5 billion . Installed capacity is 430 GW or 430000 MW. https://www.google.com/amp/s/m.economictimes.com/industry/energy/power/indias-power-consumption-grows-nearly-8-pc-to-847-billion-units-in-first-half-of-fy24/amp_articleshow/104254849.cms Compared to giant of Africa. Producing 4000 MW with installed capacity of 14000 MW.with a population of 230 million. A simple Google search has exposed your lies. You used a one off problem in a poorer state of India as if Indian country as a whole is suffering from Blackouts. |
Majority of Nigerian parents don't plan , whether they are rich or poor ,they produce kids like pigs or dogs . They don't plan for unforseen circumstances especially in a country like Nigeria ,and produce kids to suffer along with them . Rich becomes poor and poor becomes rich . Anyway Rip to Op , unless u drank a counterfeit snipper. Your chances of survival are next to nil in next 3 months. |
It's the developer's again. When u r suffering from kidney,lung,heart,liver problems,you know what happened. |
Ofodirinwa:Well , he got them deported and these fellows are having better life than in Uganda , while the people of Uganda are suffering . The point iam trying to make is , In a globalized world . No country in every part of world can arbitrary seize assets and order deportations , with out facing financial consequences . First step is to create enabling Environment ,for business to thrive , then encourage local companies with subsidy or guarantees to thrive against foreign companies . China has done that and India is in the process of doing that . Iam glad that Nigeria is doing steps to encourage ,what China and India are doing . Every country faced hardship while doing it . The country which endured are prospering now. |
Putindbutt:I agree with your point , France is a major enemy to black race . These white pigs have successfully infected black race with religion and are controlling countries using dummy leaders . Africans needs to be spiritual not religious . |
God1000:All three countries are Roman catholic . They take Religion over practical common sense . The poorest states of America ,whether White or Blacks are over religious compared to country as a whole . Black people and latin people take imported religion seriously , that one of the major problem affecting these countries . similarly is case of middle east countries . |
Ofodirinwa:What happened to Idi Amin and Uganda after that . Met a few Ugandan Indians ,who run general convivence stores in Lambeth, London . They are very happy with Idi Amin decision, after this decision , they went to better countries and they are prospering . Their children are in IT or finance . Now Uganda is requesting them to come and invest in their country , just google . To overcome the excess of any foreigners , the host country should have strong law and active enforcement to enforce the said laws . Deportation or seizing foreigners assets in that country will contribute to countries decline , just ask Venezuela and Zimbabwe . All these Deportation or seizing assets will feel poor people happy ,but ultimately backfire on these very own poor people . having said that , Any Indian or Chinese investors or others investing in present day Nigeria are out there to oppress and overlord over the people ,while milking easy money . Create a enabling environment like power ,Infrastructure in Nigeria , the best of them will come . Not the scambags or scammers like the Indian quoted in above article . |

Some of the world's most influential people have arrived in India's Gujarat state to attend a wedding party thrown by Asia's richest man. Mark Zuckerberg, Rihanna and Bill Gates are among the guests at the pre-wedding gala hosted by Reliance Industries chairman Mukesh Ambani for his son. Anant Ambani, 28, is set to marry Radhika Merchant in July. Bollywood stars including Shah Rukh Khan and Amitabh Bachchan are also at the three-day event in Jamnagar city. Mukesh Ambani, 66, is currently the world's 10th richest man with a net worth of $115bn, according to Forbes. Reliance Industries, founded by his father in 1966, is a massive conglomerate that operates in sectors ranging from refining and retail to financial services and telecom. Anant Ambani is the youngest of his three children, all of whom are on the board of Reliance Industries. The 28-year-old is involved in Reliance's energy businesses and is on the board of Reliance Foundation. The extravagant pre-wedding event is in keeping with the Ambani family's record of hosting lavish wedding parties. In 2018, pop sensation Beyoncé performed at Mr Ambani's daughter Isha Ambani's pre-wedding festivities held in Udaipur city. Former US Secretaries of State Hillary Clinton and John Kerry were among the guests at the event. A Bloomberg report at the time cited sources who put the cost of Isha's wedding at $100m - this was denied by a "person close to the family" who said the bill was around $15m. The current festivities kicked off earlier this week with an event where the Ambani family served food to the local people in Jamnagar. Some 1,200 guests are attending the pre-wedding party, which is being held in a township in Jamnagar near Reliance's main oil refinery. Reuters reported that the guest list includes Indian billionaires Gautam Adani and Kumar Mangalam Birla. Disney CEO Bob Iger is also expected to be at the party, which comes days after his company announced a merger of its India assets with that of Reliance. Zuckerberg, who is on a busy Asia trip, reached Jamnagar on Thursday. Bill Gates, who arrived in India a couple of days ago, had earlier posted a video of himself having tea made by a local vendor - it later went viral. Others spotted arriving on Friday include cricketers Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Dwayne Bravo, and BP CEO Murray Auchincloss. Other guests expected at the Ambani event include BlackRock co-founder Larry Fink, Alphabet or Google chief executive Sundar Pichai, former Canadian PM Stephen Harper, former Australian PM Kevin Rudd and Ivanka Trump. "The guest list appears to have more RSVPs from global corporate titans than the weddings of Mr Ambani's two older children in 2018 and 2019, underscoring Reliance's growing clout and role as a conduit to the Indian economy for global tech, media and energy giants," Bloomberg wrote. Among the entertainment on offer are performances by Rihanna and illusionist David Blaine. Guests are also expected to visit a rescue centre in Jamnagar, which is reportedly home to more than 2,000 animals. According to a planning document seen by Reuters, the dress code for this visit is "jungle fever". https://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-india-68443536 |
Nigeria of our dreams ![]() A big shout out to my parents for emigrating from that shithole 25 years ago . |
Ok |
Ban BDC is too difficult to ask. What we are seeing is run on the currency similar to Argentina in 2000s. When ordinary citizens dont have trust in their currency , they will keep on accumulating dollars . Happened in Argentina ,USSR, Yugoslavia , Venezuela ,Zimbabwe etc . People including Politicians ,businesspersons and ordinary people have no faith in Naira . Unfortunately the worst is yet to come . If Nigeria does not collapse and disintegrate or become a failed state by 2030 . It will be truly a miracle . |
Nigeria is fast becoming a failed nation like Congo. No amount of sugar coating will hide the truth . The number one issue in Nigeria is Insecurity , Farmers are unable to go to farm either due to Bandits or Herdsmen all across Nigeria .thereby eroding purchasing capacity of average Nigerians as food becomes costly . Nigeria as nation of 200 million people generate 4500 MW and suffer repeated grid collapse and say we are giants of a continent . Nigeria is a joke of a nation ,filled with brain washed ,religious and tribalistic people . Thank god to my father ,who emigrated from shit@le nation in 2000 . |
