The cost of buying or producing animal feed is quite high. Business is simply about minimizing cost and maximising profit, the high cost of animal feed is currently telling on Nigerian farmers. We all are aware that necessity is the mother of invention, as most farmers overseas are now using maggot to build up the protein content of their feed formulation. They also buy groundnut, extract the groundnut oil and use the groundnut residue as part of their material for their feed production.
Now they have made money off the groundnut oil, by selling it.
So they now have two important ingredients (maggot and groundnut meal) for their feed formulation, simply at no cost.
Now the big question is how does one get to know how to produce the maggot and groundnut meal and have the oil sold off.
