What's with the special fees? Iss it for all courses? At this time Memorial hass refused to send us our acceptance letter, that leaves me with no option than to defer.
Memorial processes are too slow. My department has accepted me since 6th of may and have forwardedd all necessary paper work to SGS, till now summary still states application complete.

Yea i think i will def defer, but am just thinking its too early to ask them now, when i haven't even gotten the initial offer, its somehow, i think you can only defer what you have and the official letter is still enroute, so deferring when i haven't seen the official letter its some how, what do you think correct me if am wrong, besides winter (january) is still a lot of time.

I really did not mean it like that, i also had a 2.2, and do you know how many good job offers i have lost with respect to that? I have gotten many insults just cause of my 2.2. So don't act like a made a first class. Besides centtennial college was my main option has i never thougth of a university.

At this stage we are all suppose to have each others back not attacking each other. We all need assistances that's why we are here, let's focus and that.
Besides SAIT is a very good school. Polythenics and colleges are far more rated for their practical aspect than any university.

Where in my post did i rubbish any school was only buttressing your point that is better to apply to a college and a university,which most people do here. Its obvious you do not read between the lines, as i expected, because @ everybody did i specifically say anythinng bad, i equally applied to a centennial college as a backup plan so what's your beef. Please if you have something else eating you up, don't pour that on me. Am really very respectful and all the accusattions you pointed are invalid and unecessary,and if i insulted everyone going to college then guess i also insulted myself, cause i applied there too. Mehn, my letter has not beeen dispatched oh, my deparment emailed me that i have been recommended for admission, and they are waiting for my supervissor to sign a paperwork,just got in touch with him and he said he should do that today. Am not sure of any grants yet as i can't tell, but he already told me the areas of my research, don't want to be too forward to ask if he is giving grants. But let's hope for the best.

Please try D̶̲̥̅̊ε̲̣̣̣̥γ̲̣̣̥ follow up those SGS people, they can dull well. I have so disturbed elizabeth noseworthy to the extent that we have become freinds. Try and always email and call her she is the best position to push things. Can we still meet the 3 months deadline for CDHC?

I think you are rigth. What probably helped my application surfix was the fact that i actually had a better performance in my last 2 years (300 and 400level), so i guess that added up the boost my chances, and also i was favoured by God to get a supervisor. Course of study also matters too.

The truth is this memorial university will tell you that with a 2.2 you meet their minimun requirement, but be aware that there are a thousand and one people applying to memorial not just from Nigeria , but from all over the world with better grades because of the low tuition so the department will definitely not recommend a 2.2 while they have a 2.1 on their desk. Like cuddlemi said, its best to apply to a university and a college. That increases ones chances, that was the same thing i did i applied to memorial and cenntenial college, and they both took me. There are more chances that the college will take one because its a one year program and is quite expensive, so all they are interested is in your money.

Yeah just keep me informed please. Because getting another letter of deferral from memorial can take them another couple of months, witth this their slow motion attitude. I guess my story is opposite of yours, i finished with a 2.2, very close to a 2.1, was able to secure a supervisor, and got in for a research based course, am not sure about the funding until i receive my letter, but i hope i get a bit of it. Let's jus pray God can touch memorial so they hasten up with the letter.

Thank God i finally have someone with me in memorial, i perosnally called Elizabeth noseworthy stating i wanted to schedule a pick up for my letter via fedex,and she said they seend only via regula mail so i can't, what i had to do was to change my permanent addresse on file to that of my SIS in the US,believe it will take a shorter time in transit from canada to US, and have my sister fedex it. Concerning the tuition its superb, mine is less than 5k, so i don't think we will have much of a problem with financial documents and the CDHC. As your status changed to Decision made? And trust me those letter will take lots of time. Yeah, that's the key word, PLANNING, and offcourse No, the visa did not just appear in my passport, when i started planning for my vacation, seriously i had not joined this forum and never knew the study permit will take that long. But i guess you have just said it all, i need to plan further, the did is done. And its either in 2 phases, maybe a deferral of my admission till winter(january), or i apply for my study permit, with an unused visa. Either way i would have to choose one, but would have to think reschedule and plan like you said.

That's really reasonable and will be highly considered, but you know its not that easy. Gathering documents for my appplication and all that, there's no much time and application is to be submitted @ worse eend of the month. It willl leave me submitting my application in a haste, and the vacation wouldd not even be enjoyable, when i know i still have outstanding stuffs to do. Will really have to think about it and come up with something. I really don't know mehn.

Was gonna seek somee advice, would an un-used visa in my passport, be frowned at duriing my application processingg? I actually was thinking of traveelling this period, for a 2 weeks on vacaation, but as it is my passport needs to be in their posssession for 3 good months, which leaves me nott able to go for my vacation, and also, leaves my visa to expire on august. What do you guys think?
I intend putting it in writing that i was not much aware that my study permit processing take 3 month and that, i will have to forfeit my vacation for my studies?

Actually i intent using just my Neco certificate and not waec, because i had a low grade in waec English and a high one in NECO, and besides i had more distinctions in NECO than Waec, so i intend using just NECO, hope this is advisable?

Just send you an email, besides, it wasn't stated anywhere, that we should staple the passport to the form ,i guess just puting in the sealed envelope is perfect, once received the immigration officer attached to your file, will first inspect all contents in the file thoroughly, of its complete and appropraite, then a file is created for you on their system.

Thanks a lot i will just call SGS rigth away to send scanned copies so i can go ahead with filling the application. I intent filling the application tomorro ( hand written not on the computer) is that advisable? And i will be using my statement of result from univeersity as my certificate will not be ready before the ending of the month, due to various clearances. Hope the statement can surfix, besides my institutiinal transcript always comes with confrimation of degree. Also my sponsor is not my parents but a family freind. Hope that can surfix too?

See me see trouble oooO, maple is asking for my whole tuition fee oooO, first you pay 120k, then they process and submit your application, then when you are called for medical you pay another 2000$, yes 2000$. That's my tuition already @ memorial. I can't use them. Please housee give me guidelines on filling the application form and writing a good statement of purpose (SOP).

Not like i can't fill the application form myself, i just need guidelines, for instance is the application form supposed to be filled online or handwrittern? And is the form for temporary Residence permit included? I can only get this informations from experience.

I just got information that i have been accepted to memorial for my masters, the information came in from my department, and they said soon SGS, would send out my offer letter, i intend using a private deleivery service probably DHL or fedex, would probably pay online for their home service, then it will be picked up in memorial and sent down here to avoid delays of their mailing service at regular speed in order to meet up for my study permit application, still making arrangements on that offcourse has School of graduate studies has to approve of that. please i need a full list of docments required for study permit pasted here please. The website isn't doing much help so please paste list here, and please can still apply by first week of june? Will my application still be processed before september or would it be late?

Please i need answers from everybody please!

Got an admission too to centennial college, please not you will always geet your canada stuudy visa as long as you have valid documents including statement of account. Thhe only reason people get denied of their visa is presenting fake documents, a break in education or low grades, above all inability to show strong ties to your county. Once you have all these documents especially a good sponsor and statemeent of account, you will definitely be giveen yoour visa.


Please is it true that mun does not accept. A 2.2? I applied since and have not heard from them till now. I have a very strong 2.2. And would like to know my faith?

Please i need your take on this i just got admission into centennial college and am reqiuired to pay the deposit fee. I also applied to humber and conestoga, but have not gotten an offer yet. I would like to know if this college is a good one and has great prospect? Should i accept it or reject and wait for humber and conestoga? Please reply everybody.
