Aisha Buhari was in Benisheirk, Kaga
Local Government of Borno state to
kick-off the distribution of food
and other nutrients to returning
IDPs.
Mrs. Buhari who was received by the
First Lady of Borno state Hajjiya
Nana Kashim Shettima at the Maiduguri
International Airport and later
proceeded to the venue of the event.
While kicking-off the distribution,
Mrs Buhari said the items she brought
to the IDPs was collected from well
meaning Nigerians through the Get
Involved program in an event organized in Abuja some weeks ago by her pet project, the Future Assured.
Hajjiya Nana Shettima thanked the the
wife of the President for the good
gesture and call on the beneficiaries
to make judicious use of the items
provided and avoid selling them.

The Motion Pictures Practitioners
Association of Nigeria has expelled
Kannywood actress, Rahama Sadau, from the Industry.
Sadau was expelled for featuring in a romantic musical video by Jos born
singer, ClassiQ.
The announcement of the actress’ expulsion was contained in a statement by the association and was made available Sunday.
The statement was signed by Salisu Mohammed, the Secretary of the
association.
The association also warned other actors and actresses to henceforth
follow the rules binding their
participation in the Kannywood film
industry.

The Turkish government has commenced
a massive deportation of Nigerian
students resident in the country.
Some students were detained on orders of the federal government upon arrival at Ataturk International Airport in Istanbul as they were all escorted to a room and their passport confiscated by Turkish police (as shown in the pictures).
The students were reportedly made to
sign deportation documents in
preparation for their deportation
back to Nigeria. In the deportation
document, it was stated that they will not be accepted to Turkey pursuant after the deportation and that until their flight is ready for the deportation, they will be kept inside TAV Private Security Room, according to a report.
The detained Nigerians are mainly students of Fathi University, one of
the private universities in Turkey.
The Fathi University is among the
2099 schools, dormitories and universities shut down in the wake
of the July 15th failed coup in Turkey. The Turkish authorities said
the schools and universities were
terrorist schools because they have
links with Islamic scholar Fethullah
Gulen, whom the Turkish government had accused of being the mastermind of the coup in Turkey.

Ekiti Governor Mr Ayodele Fayose has been accused of the Order Arrest of an APC Social media Team Member.
It was gathered that Fayose ordered

As you may all be aware, the Sergeant-At-Arm of the National Assembly stormed and sealed my Office on the instruction of Speaker Dogara yesterday. The office was purportedly
sealed as a consequence of my illegal suspension but the truth was to
enable the Speaker lay hands and
destroy evidence.
The media witnessed the volumes of
2016 budget documents and 53 files
that were carted away from my office
and handed to Speaker Dogara. I have
exercise extreme caution and refused
to touch any document in my office
since the crisis started. I have
raised alarm that Dogara wants to
destroy evidence but the good news
is that we have more than enough
already in case of prosecution.
The whole country watched for 2 months as Speaker Dogara was accorded all the time he needed to lobby around, clear his desk and now destroy evidence. Nigerians must all rise up and demand that Speaker Yakubu Dogara produce all the 2016 budget documents and 53 files carted away from my office.
I was not even allowed to take away
my personal belongings. Hon Jibrin
must be dealt with and disgraced by
all mean. Speaker Dogara is playing
God. I have become vulnerable in the
face of frequent threats to my life
and some of the security personnels
attached to me were suddenly withdrew.
Here we are talking about the fight
against corruption. Today, Iam being
humiliated and my crime is simply
exposing corruption in high places.
Who will want to take such risk in
future? I have said repeatedly that
this episode is a defining moment
for the fight against corruption in
Nigeria.
I wish to plead to the general public that we should concentrate on the grievous allegations.
I have raised rather than unfairly
attacking me the messenger. The fact that Iam raising corruption allegations does not confer on me any immunity from being investigated if allegations are raised against me.
I have not stopped any of the 359
members of the House from signing
corruption petition against me but
non has done so because there is
nothing! Only faceless and discredited individuals and groups are used to divert attention by spreading allegations that all turned out false!

Lagos Assembly Summons Contractor of Poorly Constructed Road In Itokun Ikorodu. DHV Nigeria Limited, the construction company that constructed the substandard Low Cost Bye Pass Itokun road in Ikorodu North LocalCouncil Development area has been summoned by the Lagos state Assembly over poorly constructed road in the said area.
The road condemned barely two weeks after commission. Itokun Road is part of the 114LGA Road commissioned by Governor Ambode.
