PVC conduit pipes comes in various sizes ranging from 20mm to 50mm, but 20mm and 25mm are the most common pipes used in building construction. These pipes come in different grades which we would refer to as Grade 1, 2 and 3 for the purpose of this write up. Grade 2 and 3 were introduced into the market because consumers complain of the high price of the grade 1. but we must always remember that better soup na money dey kill am. Grade 1: These are grouped as high quality and the best any supplier can provide for you, but the price is the highest of all the grade. They are strong, durable and can be bent without cracking , if you got the money to purchase these grade of pipes , then go for it. Grade 2: These are not up to the standard of grade 1 but you know what ? they can do the job also, they are less expensive than grade 1 , if you are on a tight budget , you might as well for this grade of pipes. Grade 3: These grade of pipes should not be in the market in the first place if we have a functional SON in our country Nigeria . these are poor quality , they serve no good, total waste of money . The are the cheapest and I call them penny wise pound foolish we ought to be careful that we do not order for a high quality and we end up being supplied low quality pipes for the prices of high quality pipes . By mere visual inspection it is difficult to tell the difference except by feeling the texture. Conclusion: go for the grade 1 if you got the money , if not stick with grade 2,but run away from grade 3 |
