Politics2023: ‘you Hold The Key To Unlocking Our Foretold Future’- Youth Leader To GYB by Eleta01(op): 1:26pm On Jan 21, 2021
2023: ‘You Hold The Key To Unlocking Our Foretold Future’- Youth Leader Urges Bello To Accept Call To Run For President

The Kogi State Coordinator of the group, ‘GYB2PYB Youth Support Group’, Comrade Usman Mar has urged the state governor, Yahaya Bello, to accept the call to contest for the office of the President of Nigeria in 2023, saying that he holds the key to unlocking the door to the foretold future of the youths.

The group which is an amalgam of several other youth groups, in a statement on Thursday said Governor Bello possesses all the qualities and requirements to hold the office.

Comrade Umar who advised the All Progressives Congress and it stakeholders to begin to direct their sail towards the candidature of Governor Yahaya Bello, explained that the youths of the country have resolved to rally round him to actualise the needed development for the country.

He said; ordinarily, the call on Governor Yahaya Bello to run for president should have formally emanated from us being the immediate beneficiaries of the good governance and inclusiveness of the Yahaya Bello administration in Kogi State. However, we needed to allow the whole world judge and decide for themselves. Now that the youths of Nigeria are unanimous in their call as referenced in the 15 million signatures recently collated and submitted, it therefore gives us the impetus to amplify the call from home which was before now echoed mutedly.

“It is in this regard that we the Kogi Youths are moving forward to urge our beloved governor to contest for the office of the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria come 2023.

“We are convinced with empirical evidences to show that Governor Yahaya Bello possesses all the qualities and requirements to hold that office being a young man with foresight, impeccable records and political clout”.

Umar further said the call on Governor Bello to contest for presidency is premised on the resolve of the youths to actualise their collective dream of a united and prosperous Nigeria through one of theirs at the helms in 2023, adding that such must be one that is fearless and undaunted in defending, upholding and promoting the rule of law, detribalized, and must be a unifier with great intolerance for insecurity. He said the Nigerian people have seen how much in his courtesy, generosity, humanity and patriotism Governor Yahaya Bello conformed to the picture Nigerian youths drew of their leader.

“The giant strides of Governor Yahaya Bello in security, agricultural revolution, infrastructural development, youths and women empowerment, as well as the unification of an heterogeneous state like ours; is what we want replicated at the national level.

“We trust that our fathers; President Muhammadu Buhari, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and other stakeholders who are lovers of youths advancement will action their support for the Not Too Young To Run law by supporting this collective echoing of Nigeria youths which incidentally is for one of their worthy son and party man who has demonstrated leadership capacity, loyalty and the political knowhow to further the developmental ideals of the party.’

Umar noted that Bello sees the Nigerian youths as his number one constituency and he also regards them as the future of our great country, hence they will mobilize all Nigerian youths for their own. He asked Yahaya Bello not to let the youths down by declining.

Governor Yahaya Bello Was not Lucky, But Chosen - Kelvin Oluseyi Eleta

Taking a trip down the memory lane, precisely years before 2015 presidential election. This was when the heat was skin peeling. A group of Visionaries came together under the nomenclature of Kogi Arise; this group would later become a force to be reckoned with, and practical leaders of the present generation. They were young, energetic, and definitely clueless if what they seek to achieve could ever be theirs; as it was not in the tradition of Nigeria politics to have leaders drawn from such strata of the country's demography.

Whenever I thought of how far Governor Yahaya Bello (GYB) of Kogi State has come, and the numerous political battles he has fought to make himself relevant and a necessary instrument in today's Nigeria politics, I am always thrilled with excitement mixed with assurances that if one truly puts his mind to achieving success, nothing could be impossible for the determined.

The story of Governor Yahaya Bello emerging as the Chief Security Officer of Kogi State is one, one could title "Only God enthrones"

In 2019, when God's anointed Leader (GYB) made his intentions known to serve the state for another tenure, all hell broke loose. It became the story of "you were never meant to be there in the first place" -but God proved everyone wrong, again.

Following the political antecedents of Governor Yahaya Bello, one could easily compare his life with that of Biblical King David of Israel. David was chosen from the least family in Israel. A family that naturally does not have a say in the affairs of the kingdom. Yet, God choose him even instead of his siblings; as he was the last of his father's.

This could be why a prominent former Senator of the Federal Republic made a historic pronouncement during GYB's first inauguration, stating that; "If you are fighting Governor Yahaya Bello, you are fighting God." Who can fight God, and survive?

Governor Yahaya Bello was chosen to bridge many gaps: youth and women marginalization in politics, ethnic divisions, security threats, and gross abuse of public funds, amongst many more.

Now, the Nigerian youths have seen the light hovering over GYB. The youths have realized that for the younger generation to achieve their dream of occupying the corridor of power, Governor Yahaya Bello is needed to take up the mantle of leadership as President of the Federal Republic. The records are there, and I need not bore you with tales of how youth loving GYB is.

The GYB2PYB Youth Support Group, under the leadership of Amb. Oladele John Nihi as Director General, has taken the bold step of publicly calling on Governor Yahaya Bello to answer the call of millions of Nigerian youths and accept to run for President come 2023. Just as King David was searched for, and Samuel had to wait to anoint him; Nigerian Youths are patiently waiting for GYB.

Ending with one of my favorite quotes from the Qur'an: "For Allah will surely accomplish his purpose: verily, for all things has Allah appointed a due proportion."-Q65vs3

GYB2PYB is God's project. Do everything possible not to hinder God; as He is ready to enthrone the anointed.

PoliticsDemocracy Day: Amb. Oladele John Nihi Sets Agendas by Eleta01(op): 7:17am On Jun 12, 2020
Democracy Day: For Nigeria's Democracy to be Sustained, Rule of Law Most be Taken Seriously - Amb. Oladele John Nihi

Nigeria has over the years witnessed a robust democratic era without the interference of the military or external forces, and as the country marks her 21st Democracy Day, the Pan-African Youth Union (PYU) Commissioner for Youth Political Participation in Africa, Amb. Oladele John Nihi, commemorate with Nigerians.

The Youth Commissioner congratulates Africa's most populous country for sustaining democracy for over two decades. While noting that the country needs to drastically adjusts in some key areas to further drive home dividends of democracy to her citizens. Amb. Oladele John Nihi sets two points agenda for possible consideration by Nigeria's political leaders:

1. Corruption Free Society

With a growing population of almost 200 million, an abundance of untapped resources and a partially privatised economy, Nigeria is a treasure on the African continent for potential investors. However, widespread corruption, volatile political tensions and a history of violent elections and frauds have deterred foreign investment. These challenges have undermined the legitimacy of its democracy and its potential to integrate Africa into the global economy.
By properly harnessing the resources in Nigeria, the country could place Africa on a roadmap to economic stability. And In other to achieve this, leaders in Nigeria political society needs to purge out corruption and give room for the economy to strive.
Amb Oladele John Nihi commends President Buhari's fight against corruption, and for Nigeria to stand tall among other global communities worthy of emulation. While noting that there is still much work to be done as a country, to permanently lay the issue of corruption to rest.

2. Opposition and Rule of Law

In any democratic society, rule of law is treated with outmost priority, and the opposition given a leveled playground to checkmate the activities of the ruling party. The opposition is to constantly look out for policies that could be of benefits to the citizens and make recommendations for the ruling party to follow. Sadly, Nigeria's democracy is yet to achieve this feet; as oppositions in the country believes their single role is attacking the Government even without justification; as this could be tagged as politics of bitterness, or sentimental politics rather.

Despite pre-election violence, the 2015 election was welcomed as a watershed moment in history as the nation saw the first transfer of power to the opposition via the ballot. Former President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan was able to change the narrative by handling power to the opposition without violence. This is a typical example of events capable of transforming Nigeria political structure for the better. For Nigeria's democracy to be sustained, rule of law and the opposition have to be taken seriously.

"As we commemorate the democratic election of MKO Abiola on June 12, 1993, in what has been adjudged to be Nigeria's freest and fairest elections, let us also put into consideration the need for us to sustain democracy in Nigeria. I wish Nigeria happy 21st celebration of her Democracy Day" Amb. Oladele John Nihi said.

The Youth Commissioner also admonished Nigerian leaders to step up their service delivery to the country, especially in this era of COVID-19 that the people needs to feel the impacts of a true and working democratic government.

Federal University Oye Ekiti Killings: Justice for the Slain Students.

With a heavy heart and saturated eyes full of tears, I extend my condolences to the families of students of Federal University, Oye, Ekiti (FUOYE), allegedly shot and killed by Police escorts attached to the wife of Ekiti State Governor, Mrs Fayemi.

Two students is reported to have lost their lives during a peaceful protest by the Students Union body of the institution. The Police alleged that the students attacked the convoy of the First Lady while she was in Oye Local Government in continuation of her community engagement and advocacy tour of the state but the wife of the Governor has denied ordering the Police to shoot at the students protesting peacefully.

It is manifestly clear that the Police action clearly violated their oath of office to protect law abiding citizens of this country. Pray, why would the police deploy live ammunitions to quell a peaceful protest organised by students. Is their no rubber bullets or tear-gas to be used in their possession?

Time has come for the Police authorities to come up with very stringent measures against these unconscionable and heartless security officers in uniforms who take innocent Nigerian lives at will!

I hereby call on the Commissioner of Police in Ekiti State, the Inspector General of Police, and the office of the Governor, to commence immediate investigations into the unfortunate development and bring the officers responsible for the shootings to book.

I also call on students and youth Leaders across the country to express their grievances on any issue PEACEFULLY without resulting to violence.

Nigerians are eager and hoping for justice to be done, as we all pray for the slain students to continue to rest in peace.

PoliticsRe- Gyb Supercede His Predecessor by Eleta01(op): 2:21pm On Sep 01, 2019
Re- GYB SUPERCEDE HIS PREDECESSORS IN INFRASTRUCTURE AND HUMAN CAPITAL DEVELOPMENT.

THE CHIEF OF STAFF LIED:

I will like to know how Yahaya Bello superceded his predecessors in infrastructure and human capital development, as claimed by the governor's Chief of Staff, Edward Onoja.

In a recent publication by the Nigerian Tribune newspaper, the Chief of staff made a fallacy statement which is reciprocally a stain on the good legacies of the previous administrations. Kogi State is currently credited to be one of the highest in poverty rate; which has drastically declined the standard life expectancy rate in the state. The state also at a time was visited with a high rate of suicide: an act carried out by aggrieved civil servants and pensioners, who has been deprived of their monthly wages.

For a Chief of Staff of an administration to make such a statement, claiming that his principal's government swallowed up the achievement of others, it show a high level of weakness and ignorant from his own end, about happenings in this current administration. The Chief of Staff is supposed to be the closest to the Governor, and not the other way round. So I expect him to be aware of the mismanagement of funds which was supposed to birth the Ganaja flyover, the mismanagement of funds meant for payment of salaries, mismanagement of funds meant for the health sector and many other atrocities, which had been committed by Governor Yahaya Bello's led-administration.

The people of Kogi State are not dumb. We know about the happenings in the state and our memories remains ever fresh. The Chief of Staff needs to stop propagation of fake news, in a bid to score some cheap political points and gain the votes of the timid masses ahead of the November 16th governorship election in the state.

I am urging the good people of Kogi State to remain ever focused and not to be intimidated, in chosing who is to stare the affairs of our dear state. The unborn generations are depending on us all, not to let them down.

God bless Kogi State.

22nd July, 2019.

National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) Condemns the Approach of Shi’ites Protesters, Against the Government.

The apex youth body in the country has in totality condemed the approach of the embattled Islamic body, Shi’ites, for their protests strategy. The Youth body states that ninety percent of the protesters are mostly youths, who are supposed to be engaged productively in their respective fields. Stating that raising arms against security personnel, in the bid of fighting the government is never a way out. And can hardly result to peace and settlement; which is what the group has been known for, before now.

The President of the Council, Amb. Oladele John Nihi, in a close door meeting with some media groups, expressed his disapproval and also condemned the killings that took place along the Federal Secretariat, at the Central Business District in Abuja.

"This bloody protests can never bring a lasting solution to what this group has been clamoring for. In every situation, we as law abiding citizens of this country must at all cost, do things in the appropriate way. You don't just raise arms against the government and expect the government to jump on the knife and do your biding. I am saddened because most of the victims of these killings are majorly youths. With this I am urging the government with immediate effect, to look into this matter before it further escalates" -Amb Oladele John Nihi said.

The President further urged the protesters not to take the law into their hands in future endeavors. Commuters and residents of the affected areas are also advised to be vigilant to happening around them, in order to keep peace.

EducationIncrease In Number Of Tertiary Institutions In Africa by Eleta01(op): 4:19pm On Apr 27, 2019
INCREASE IN NUMBER OF TERTIARY INSTITUTIONS IN AFRICA, NOT HELPING - Alexander Victor Okhuese

The Nigerian born Economist, Victor Alexander Okhuese, had raised concern over the outgrowing number of tertiary institutions Africa, in an interview with BBC World Service, Maya Hayakawa.

The host Maya Hayama, lay much emphasis on the severity of brain drain Africa; accessing the myths, concerns, and benefits and realities of the African human capital flight phenomenon.

There are number of countries trying to increase number of tertiary institution education center for capacity building, She said.

In His response, the Economist maintained that such is not helping; because a lot of Africans still believe that unless you school outside, in places like Europe, you're not well accepted in your country. He further stressed that many organizations wouldn't employ people who do not get their first degrees, Masters degrees or PhD outside Africa. And for these reasons, the idea of schooling in Europe will still remain in the minds of Africans for a long time. Alot of African Universities still could not affect the fact that people would seek for education outside of Africa.

Maya, also raise concern about the recent comment by the Nigerian Minister of Labour and productivity, Dr. Chris Ngige, who claimed Nigeria has surplus of Medical Doctors, insisting there is no problem in that sector.

Alexader Victor Okhuese, the renowned economist and an erstwhile Research Associate at Lagos Business school, responded that there may be not be such point, a lot of Medical sector in Africa are not stable and or up to standard, He explained. He further stressed that alot of of Nigerians and Africans who are well to do, still travels abroad for medical treatment; if the Minister's claim is true it means we could look inward and get these treatment from Nigerian Doctors.

In His remark, He reiterated that Africa can retain it talents by using economic and political stability as tool to attract to Africa, the talented Africans in abroad and retaining them home, afterwards.

PoliticsTSAN Urge Kogi State Govt To Fix Roads And Abandoned Housing Estates by Eleta01(op): 8:41am On Jul 22, 2018
Table Shakers Association of Nigeria (TSAN) has urged Kogi State government to fix certain collapsing portions of roads in Lokoja metropolis. A drive through Lokoja by TSAN crew revealed a disturbing situation with some segments of roads about to collapse. It viewed this as an indictment of the Works Ministry in the State for remarkable display of ineptitude and advised the Commissioner in charge to buckle up. TSAN equally noted that with KOGROMA, maintenance of road infrastructure in the State should be constant and continuous.

#TSAN also noted with trepidation, the appalling condition of several Housing Estates in Lokoja constructed by previous administrations in the State  that have fallen into disrepair due to negligence.

Since government is a continuum, the moribund status of these Estates because of the lacklustre disposition of the New Direction Government is inappropriate and no longer acceptable. These facilities were put in place with Kogi’s Commonwealth and it is only reasonable to renovate the structures to enable Kogites benefit.

The Government can enhance its IGR by making houses in the Estates habitable and either let/lease to workers or give out on owner occupier basis.

#TSAN acknowledges that the Governor cannot be everywhere but that is why several appointees were engaged. In a situation where ineptitude is observed, the guilty official must be sanctioned.

Closely related to this, is the issue of the pitiable state of tourism infrastructure in the State. It is strange that despite the huge potentials of tourism, the facilities in this sector are archaic, neglected and not in tune with modern trends.

#TSAN admonishes that Kogi State Hotels and Tourism Board be empowered to turn around the fortune of this vital sector. This will not only reduce unemployment, it will boost the internally generated revenue of the state especially at this period of dwindling resources amidst a plethora of competing needs.

#TSAN beseeches Gov. Yahaya Bello to take more than a passing interest in the issues raised. This will make appointees sit up for acceptable service delivery.

For the Works Commissioner and his Culture and Tourism counterpart, it is the informed opinion of #TSAN that their best in their respective Ministries is clearly not enough.

Kogi deserves and demand substantial commitment from those saddled with the responsibility to oversee government agencies.

PoliticsKogi Commissioner Of Transport To Resign, For Incompetence. by Eleta01(op): 8:49am On Jul 10, 2018
Kogi Commissioner of Transport Declared Incompetent and Should Resign.

By: TSAN Board of Trustees

Table Shakers Association of Nigeria (TSAN), Kogi State Chapter, calls for the immediate resignation of
the State's Commissioner of Transport. TSAN; an online force, which is focusing on putting to check, all
the wrongs within the State and the country at large.

In a statement issued yesterday via the association's social media handles. The TSAN members
expressed dissatisfaction, on how the transportation sector is being managed in the state. They blame
the level of decay, on the Commissioner of Transport, Mr. Mohammed Awwal. Who has chosen to take
the current situation in the transport sector very lightly.

TSAN maintained that the commissioner should
resign and give way to a more competent hands to do the job.

The major allegations leveled against the commissioner are high cost of transportation within the state
and the neglected Kogi Untramodern Park, along Okene-Abuja express way. The park, which was
commissioned on January 20th, 2016, by Olusegun Mimiko of Ondo State. Costs 1.6 Billion naira to
construct and could hold over 500 vehicles at once. And a crowd of about 14,000 per day, amounting to
3.5 million passengers per year.

This should be huge for boosting the state's economy and also creates
jobs for the youths. The current administration of Gov. Yahaya Bello has made a bold move, by
renovating all parks within the state capital. But the State Ministry of Transport, has failed at utilizing
these facilities, there by putting the people through much hardship while on transit.

TSAN also maintained that, Alhaji Awwal couldn't achieve anything while heading the State Ministry of
Information. So, less is expected of him. Kogi State is bordered to 10 different states, including the FCT, so
the State should be experiencing a boom in the transport sector.

TSAN therefore declared Alhaji Mohammed Awwal, as weak and incompetent, to head this particular
ministry.

PoliticsYouth Rebirth Movement. Oladele John Nihi For NYCN President by Eleta01(op): 9:55am On Jun 08, 2018
YOUTH REBIRTH; THE REAL WIND OF CHANGE.

By Kareem .A. Onivehu

The Youth has always constituted the most populated, active and resilient age group in any society with Nigeria not an exception. It will be a time bomb for any society to neglect the welfare and desires of this group (youth) of people and not pay adequate attention to her. What they do/engage in, How they do it, When, Why and Where it is being done should be of great concern because they are the major divine strength of the society.

There can't be a better time to align Youth clusters then today because the building of youth in society polishes the future state of the nation. There will always be the needs not to overemphasized their life goals in Civic participation, patriotism, policies and mission because they encompass a strong vigor, spirit and versatility of life.

NYCN therefore as the dominant Youth body with significant roles in shaping better the state of the youth in Nigeria deserve a concrete pilot with oceans of vision and experience in youth engagement. This no doubt is what the leadership of Comr. Oladele John Nihi is beautifully ready to inject to this body.

Also, we are very optimistic on the rebuild and reposition prospect of Comr. Oladele John Nihi for a befitting NYCN to the enthusiastic yearnings, aspirations and demands on the lips and actions of our youth across the nation.
You will agree with me that the game is changing from the passive Youth attendance to decision making in governance to full participation and responsibility to their needs. Away from the bondage, this is the real change the Rebirth movement envisage.

As the Youth Council Chairman in the State (Kogi State), Comr. Oladele John Nihi has recorded a pass mark of actions/projects and still doing more since he came on board. This he has done through an aggressive grassroot advocacy on Youth Mentorship, vocational and skills trainings, establishment of a youth hub for positive youth engagement, dissemination of adequate and right information to make and prepare youth for better engagement in the electioneering, governance and democratic system within the state.

This is the right time also to get all the above manifested more on the national level of NYCN by the right 'National President' Comr. John Nihi.

We must therefore put duality away, listen, see and call for one; a repositioning and rebuild of the youth council with the Youth Rebirth theme and strongly by the man with experience, passion and commitment. The youth must be prepared and ready for the future from today. We must fly the direction of this wind of change for the right person and not just any person because the well prepared youth makes the right society not just any society.

Let us know that, experience makes the wise discover new source of strength and gain greater empathy towards living, Experience is not what you read in a book; we have to grab this because we have found it already with Comr. Oladele John Nihi, whom we are optimistic shall produced a nurtured, trained and positively engaged youth with many promising activities that will flourish the Council, and position the youths of this country on the pedestal of rapid growth and development.

Yes he is the man! He has the capacity to widen the horizon of possibilities when explored. This is what I call the wind of change; a Rebirth for Youth!

Nairaland GeneralBattle Of Semen by Eleta01(op): 2:32pm On Aug 24, 2016
THE BATTLE OF SEMEN.
It all started years ago. At the very beginning. At the very moment of ejaculation, when the seed was planted. Whenever ejaculation occurs an average of 40 million to 400 million, and even 1.2 billion sperm cells are released, as it varied from male to male. All these sperm cells swam through the virginal wall in search of the fertile egg. Not knowing the exact location of the egg, these sperm cells got separated as some went through the first fallopian tube while some went through the other. So much competition, so much struggle between billions. Just for one egg and only one sperm cell is needed.
