I was amazed to discover that the latest mouth watering data plans by glo aren't working on blackberry 10 devices.. A friend of mine subscribed this evening and he couldn't browse with it..well to avoid been irrational, I want to ask you guys whether it's working for you or not..... if not, then Glo has to do something ASAP for these blackberry users, the data plans are too good to be used by android users alone.......

I think the sun in the south ain't that harsh as the one in the north, so you should be able to survive it....but my advice when you get to camp,minimize ur waka in the sun

Bros! The journey from Obubra to Calabar takes just three hours and not a whole day. Besides, Obubra is a local government area and there are hotels in the towns along the Calabar-Ikom highway in Obubra.


For those going from Onitsha, just board a bus going to Ikom and drop at Obubra junction. From there you take a bike directly to camp.

Yes, you are right, i want to believe,that was a mistake,what i was trying to tell him was that if he got to calabar late,he can stay there overnight and continue his journey the next day since the distance is something that can be covered in a day.... I stay at ugep....there are relatively affordable hotels in ugep, the closest town to obubra....

Atlast we have our official PCMs posted to cross river,i welcome you all..cross river is an Amazing state as you might have heard, although kinda expensive in terms of accommodation, but trust me,you will survive.... As my fellow corp member as said, the camp ain't the Best but it's better some other camps in the country...... There are a lot of routes to take to obubra camp, but it will be better to avoid passing through calabar cos of the road and distance..if you have questions please don't hesitate to ask... We will gladly be at ur service, am currently serving in ugep, Cross river and am from the west....Thank you, God bless

I went with them to camp, very reliable and comfortable.. You can try them out as well

Am very sure 132k is even one of the cheapest Accommodation in calabar, one of the problems of calabar is its high cost of getting a comfortable accommodation, if you are not sure the PPA will give you an accommodation, I advise you not to lobby for calabar, well except you want to rent someone's shop for sleeping at night with your 40k.......lol

Lol.. So funny.. Get to camp first before thinking about the best PPA... Anyways two possible ways to get a nice PPA in camp is by money and connections /influence......

The distance from calabar to obubra is a day journey so, you can Lodge any where, but calabar has the best hotel facilities and I doubt it if you will see a hotel in obubra.. There are places closer to obubra like ugep and ikom, you can Lodge there as well.. It all depends on your paroles..

I have a friend who got a self contain for 132k.... Not all PPAs provide accommodation, infact 80% of them do not especially in calabar....

The best four places in cross river is calabar, ikom, ogoja and ugep in that descending order....
The camp is four hours from calabar.... A very hectic journey..
When the time is right and people are much in the thread.. Some important issues about the camp will be discussed..
Accomodation in calabar is as expensive as anything you can think of...

To all new Corp members, I say welcome to Cross river state, not one of the best place to camp or even serve , but am very sure you will have fun and a lot of interesting memories.... Am a Corp member currently serving in cross river state, (B15 stream 2).. I got help through a thread like this for batch B and I am willing to help all the new Corp members as well .. If you need any info about cross river state, just ask and I will try my possible best to answer it.... Welcome once again, to the Nation's paradise...

Serving in Oyo State isn't bad at all, relatively peaceful ... Cost of living ain't high... Affordable accommodation throughout the state, even though virtually all PPAs in Oyo State do provide accommodation.... They respect corpers so much in Oyo State.. Always wanting to help you and giving you special treatment..... Generally Oyo State is a nice place to serve...
