The first Call of Duty game where the high-profile, cinematic war experiences weren’t available to play on your home console every single year. It was the best World War II shooter for those interested in the fall of Nazi Germany, from the beaches of Normandy to the deserts of North Africa, Call of Duty II took players everywhere . The move to 720p or 1080p resolutions made the brutality more real than ever, as every detail seemed nicely crafted.

Where Modern Warfare 2 manages to actually surpass its older brother is in its online multiplayer. Modern Warfare 2 managed to meet—if not exceed—everyone’s expectations.
The kill-streak concept was expanded to allow for even more ways to eliminate your enemies and of course customizable kill streak rewards permanently changed the game for the better, making the progression system one of the most satisfying in all of this series. It’s one of those games you could put in your Console or Pc for months and never get tired of it.

While Sony is not attending E3 2019 this following week, Sony’s Jim Ryan, who recently stepped into the position of SIE president, sat down with CNET to discuss some of Sony’s high-level plans for its next console, believed to be the PlayStation 5 a.k.a (PS5).

One of the major points was what Ryan reffered to as “cross-generational play.” Meaning those who own the Playstation 5 (or whatever it is later called), can continue playing their Favourite Playstation 4 games on the new console. It doesn’t stop at that, but Ryan prompt that PlayStation friends list will span across both systems.
“Whether it’s backwards compatibility or the possibility of cross generational play, we’ll be able to transition that community to next-gen,” he said. “It won’t be a binary choice about whether you have to be either on PlayStation 4 or next-gen to continue your friendship.”

This is a big deal because the PS4 doen’t currently offer backwards compatibility. Ryan said in a previous interview that the backwards compatibility and cross-gen play is “incredibly important” to make the transition between the systems as easy as possible.

Also in the interview, Ryan talked about how the PS5 is capable of rendering 4K visuals at 120Hz for those who have TVs that can support it. 120Hz is a refresh rate which is around double the rate of standard TVs.

Ahead of E3, publisher THQ Nordic has promised a series game announcements over the next few days. With the company announcing SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom – Rehydrated is coming to Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC at some point in the future.
The brief 20-second trailer doesn’t give away much of anything, but we do know that this is a remake of a cult classic platformer originally released back in October of 2003. Purple Lamp Studios–who previously developed The Guild 3–is handling the development, and the game’s official description has revealed there will be an all-new multiplayer mode beyond the single-player hijinks of SpongeBob, Patrick, and Sandy.
