This is just saying anything to defend an underperforming Amorim otherwise na just pure cap. The squad we have doesn't have any business being in the bottom half of the table.

As for Amorim, he didn't come here against his will wtf. In as much he would have preferred joining in the summer, nobody used gun to force him to leave Sporting and join United. He did it happily and will do it again.

Dorgu is a model player for the magical system of Amorim. If we sign 4, let's say 5 more Dorgu's in different positions, will it take us out from the trenches?

Here's an interesting stat, since United won at the Etihad on 15th December 2024, they have beaten only one PL team[Fulham] from outside the relegation zone in 16 attempts. Only other wins vs PL opposition in that time were versus Ipswich, Soton and Leicester (x2).

6 wins out of 20, 4 of them against the 3 worst teams in the league.

I can't really argue that he is better than Fred now although they are very different players. He is more like Herrera, but with even less ability on the ball.

What it is looking like is that the club is finished patapataly. A squad built over the years filled majorly with players that are not good enough.

Little or no more money left to repair the damage in the squad.

Then when the little money when spent is not always spent in the right way. INEOS so far have been a bit better than the previous regime cos at least it is looking like Yoro, Maz, de Ligt are players that can contribute in a winning team. Maz and de Ligt in particular have played well considering their fee. Yoro was overpriced but might turn out to be an all timer, so it is still understandable.

If INEOS are not able to hit extremely high scores in terms of recruitment of coaches and players, these lean years will not end anytime soon.

We just somehow need to get lucky with one world class coach to take us out from the trenches like the way Klopp did for Liverpool else we go tey for here. We are not even a midtable team anymore and I'm hoping we don't fight for relegation next season.

As for Amorim, he's been here since November and I honestly can't see what he's done in terms of coaching and tactics that shows he's the man to take us from the trenches back to the glory days.

Infact, it's been worse since he took over.

Considering we still have little hope in Europa, losing Zirkzee was devastating more than the scoreline today.

I can't imagine Hoijlund the Ultimate Fight champion leading the line for the rest of the campaign.
