What it means it that we should no longer be exclusively targeting "EPL proven" players in TWs.

Having said that, i think the way a team sets up is also crucial in the CL, especially in the knock-out phase.

If we play open and expansive football against attack minded teams like PSG, we would most likely get eliminated in an embarrassing manner.

I might be wrong but I see some pragmatism in Carrick's approach - the type that looks suitable for fixtures like this.

Perhaps one or 2 more upgrades to the 1st team and we could stand a chance to Smash and Grab.

I actually love the arrogance of those teams against any opponent. They've been built like a well oiled machine that can go toe to toe against anyone.

Sometimes they'll come up short like they did against Chelsea in the Club world cup finals but they'll be favourites against any opponent. I'll love us to be like that, one can only dream. Imagine this United playing like that, there's no opposition we will be afraid of.

I don't recognise Amad anymore. Carrick's getting the results but the performances have drastically reduced. He doesn't look like the man to make us serious title contenders.
