Ajah belongs to the Inebus, but these people claiming indigenes are Nupes, who escaped British attack with King Kosoko.
These Nupe people are trying all means to make themselves indigenes and rulers.
These Nupe tried the same thing with the Aworis around Iyana Ipaja by taking advantage of Awori hospitality, to hijack obaship from the indigenes.
A stranger welcomed and accommodated, wanting to rule over his hosts.
In Oshodi now, they're lobbying to be king there, and the Aworis are there doing nothing |

onatisi: nigerians no longer see smuggling as a crime, in fact, many even believed the ban on the importation of rice is totally unnecessary and uncalled for If not for smuggling, a Derica of rice should be N2,500 now; currently, a derica is 1300. Smuggling has stabilised the price ever since Naira has depreciated from 1300 to 1700 now. |

The word was coined from an Alaafin called Ariba 'Alaafin Oyo Ariba. The British then mispronounced the two words 'Oyo' and 'Ariba' as Yoruba.
Someone posted the historical picture of the Alaafin here last year.
The real name could be Alaafin Atiba, not Ariba as the British photographer described the picture. |
