When Dangote begins buying crude oil in Naira, the price should come down! The crude oil of the present PMS was bought in Dollar not Naira, hence the high price. |

It will be subsidised by 100 or more; N800 could be the price at petrol stations. |

GRACEGLORY: The FED won't want to cut by 50 bps as that will.crash the market, coz even though good news, it will cause panic, and stocks will dump heavily. 50 bps will indicate an emergency cut to save the market, but 25 bps indicate that inflation is truly calming down.
Here's what I think 61.255K,then 59K. 58K. Was working on the chart yesterday.... A rate cut is good news for stocks, meaning a bigger cut takes the stock market to the moon. Just a correction. |

Faiththatworks: This is what I call the Dangote Effect. People underestimate how Africa was really supporting the economy of many European countries. The Dangote Refinery has succeeded in shutting down demand for almost 40 million litres of PMS,5 million liters of Diesel and 5 million litres of Aviation fuel used daily in Nigeria. When you add the demand likely to come from other West African countries you will understand why the Europeans will be never want Africa to develop. We feed them with the Crude oil they need at very cheap prices and buy back the refined products at very expensive prices. God bless Alhaji Dangote for liberating West Africa from the hands of these parasitic Colonial economic parasite. Crude oil will still be in existence for another 50 years,if in doubt, even Kamala Harris has changed her position on fracking in the Us. She has abandoned her green deal and is now favoring America producing more crude oil with fracking. God bless Nigeria. Where are other Billionaires nah? Let them join Dangote in industrialising this our dear country. |

onuman: Lesser importation of goods can cause trade surpluses. Lesser importation occurs when consumers get poorer. That is the situation in Nigeria. Correct! But with time, local production will boom; the poor will be employed; and much less importation will become the order of the day. Let's hope we have more of Dangotes to industrialise our country. |

onuman: Name the products exported that yielded the surplus. Crude oyel has been sold for many years in advance for jumbo loans by APC governments beginning 2015. Is it only export that causes trade surplus? |

gare2510: What are the things we started producing locally that made us stop importation? You increase custom duty, devalue Naira making cost of importation prohibitive We have started producing diesel with Dangote refinery, importation of the product has stopped; PMS will soon follow suit. |
