I think we should put this issue to rest and put a stop to all this incivility.
When a car is started when the engine is cold, it goes into what is known as an open loop situation, for some cars the tachometer could go as high as 1200rpm to 1500rpm, until the temperature of the engine rises to the operating temperature before you get the design idling speed of the car (this is sensed by the Coolant Temperature Sensor).

So i guess this was the situation at the point in time this pics was taken.
