Sorry bro... I remember having a chat with you about this same project. I also remember charging you 75k to get the Job done. It's quite funny how someone who claims to be a developer will agree to handle such project for 15k... Well, its obvious he doesn't understand what it takes to execute such project. He probably thought its one of those wordpress stuff. His intentions might not be to scam you but he is caught up in the middle and does not have any clue on how to deliver.. My Advice to all who intend to start new projects... "Its high time you guys started appreciating developers.. These things are not easy as many of you think. When you have a complex project, be prepared to back it up with a good budget" .. Don't ask us to build you a web application that is similar to "facebook" while your budget is 20k ( In naira oo ).. lol |

dimple571991:I'm glad you are learned bro.. See you at the top!!! |
Djtm:Hehehehehe. . I can't help but laugh. I thought my post should be disregarded as it was all lies. I thought I was living in 2009. . Now it's all about price. . Continue |
barapistis:I believe you have an existing website in place and just need these features to be added.. If yes, what language is the website developed with?? Contact me through the number on my signature |
Djtm:Its quite funny how people post funny stuff online just to feel relevant. I guess there are many ways you could have contributed to the thread without trying to show your high level of ignorance. First, I tried to explain between web designers and web developers to the OP. I don't remember posting about web designers and UI/UX designers. UI/UX Designers are not programmers, they design with tools like Adobe Photoshop which you stated and that's very correct. After the design, the web designers implement the UI/UX designers work by coding the screens as illustrated by the UI designer. You stated you don't think a web developer can work on a project with ready-made template.. I forgive you for making such blunder as only that statement clearly shows you have never completed any project as a developer (Be it on freelance level or as a full time staff with a company).. Let me ask you one simple question.. If you are working on a project with a team of 3 (Say a UI designer, Front-end developer and a back-end developer).. After the UI designer's work, the front-end Guy codes the design while the back-end Guy writes the server-side scripts. So tell me, the Front-end as coded by the front-end Guy, is it not the same thing as having a ready-made template ? I bet you don't even know the answer to that question..Well, as clearly stated in my response to the OP and I quote "Considering the Country we live in".. Its obvious you didn't even care to read in-between the lines or even take a little time to understand that logic before coming out to say my post is irrelevant and should be ignored. You were too engrossed in your limited thinking and all you cared about was how to make your Nairaland username visible for all to see how "relevant" you think you are. Now, coming back to my line "considering the country we live in"... If you have ever tried freelancing in this part of the world, you will understand that clients are yet to fully appreciate the work of web developers as opposed to some other countries. A client will contact a web developer here with a budget of less than 60K. some even go way lower than that. Now tell me, as a web developer (on freelance level) , will you engage the services of a UI/UX designer and a Front-end Developer on such low budget?? Your guess is as good as mine. I've completed so many web projects with ready -made templates which I always customize to meet clients taste. You should ask yourself this simple question, "if web projects cannot be completed with ready-made templates, why then do Web designers/Front-end developers sell their ready-made templates on online markets like themeforest??" Who buys these templates then?? Or are you trying to say they don't sell?? I advice you always get your acts straight and don't come on a public forum to spew thrash on a thread you definitely know nothing about. Anyways, you might just be trying to get noticed and probably get my attention in the process.. you just got that attention.. congrats!!! |
dimple571991:You are welcome bro.. My contact 09060488908 |
dimple571991:One thing is, people usually don't know there is a difference between web design and web development. As a web designer, you don't write server-side codes (e.g PHP, Node.js, Python etc).. Web designers mostly focus on HTML, CSS and Javascript. But as a web developer, your Job involves both the front-end and the server-side.. You learn all. HTML, CSS, Javascript, and any of the server-side languages. so the question now is "Do you want to become a web designer or a web developer?".. My advice though- Go for web development. I'm talking from a developer's perspective. considering the country we live in, becoming just a web designer will fetch you little. Most times, developers don't even involve designers in their projects.. They often get already made web templates online (premium or free) and customize them to suit their needs before writing the server-side codes to power these templates. The web templates you see on online markets like themeforest, codecayon etc are works of web designers, they design those static templates and put them online for sale. But the thing is, a website won't function with just those static templates, they have to be dynamic and that's where the web developer comes in. But the fun about being a developer is that you also know what the designer knows , though not in-depth. You can take any template designed by a web designer and alter the HTML, CSS and javascript codes to suit your needs cuz you also know these languages. But the web designer can't make those templates dynamic cuz he does not write server-side scripts. I guess my little input can help you choose the right path. |
dimple571991:Why wait till December when you can start learning now... There are lots of good materials on web design and graphics online. Use google and you will be happy you did. Most successful web developers are self-taught. Even if you learn from someone or a school, your passion, creativity and ability to develop yourself is what determines the level you attain. |
imotech:Will you consider working remotely? |
? I bet you don't even know the answer to that question..
