"Fred" is a placeholder for Benjamin Frederick.

Two ways we can start in November. I wouldn't play Simon and Lookman at the same time.
For me bring in LOOKMAN as a sub

And no matter what some of you say we need MOSES in that team, you all may not like him but what he brings to the team can only be seen by those who understand football. Ask yourself why he keeps starting games all these while even under different Nigerian coaches

I think NDIDI should start as well to give the defense a boost

If AJAYI can somehow sneak into starting line up, I won't have an issue with that, due is paying his dues gradually. ( Heard is on suspension though)

And OSIMHEN need a supporting striker so he does not over work himself upfront, remember there are 2 games to be played in Morocco. Make the Bobo sef reserve small fuel. He don too try

What's is iwobi contribution in the team, he's just there passing the ball all around
You asked a question and still answered it
Is passing the ball around (distribution) not the basic job of a midfielder?

His lack of gametime at Palace really irks me. If he was still at Getafe, we wont be having this conversation.

Anyway, he is still 22. He will get the gametime. Seriously using Yaya's trajectory to encourage myself on Uche's.
I think Uche has a clause of permanent transfer to Crystal Palace if he starts atleast 10 games for them.

Maybe that's why he isn't starting games , just saying though

Honestly, I'm not sure Chrisantus himself knows.

When I first got to know about him, he was hyped as a Rodri regen then he moved to Getafe where he was turned into a forward.

He looks energetic and is difficult to shake off the ball but I'm yet to see where his qualities will fill in the midfield.
Uche can function well if you have a highly intelligent DM and a very Creative AM Then he can chase down every ball in the midfield and make take ons

Hehehe.....me sef still dey observe am with corner eyes.

Watched him in Getafe, and he doesn't strike me as a technical player. I see him as a battler, and workaholic kinda player who covers a lot of ground, is difficult to dislodge off the ball and gets into the box to contribute a fair share of goals.

But his meteoric rise from playing amateur football in Owerri in 2022 to the Spanish La Liga/Premiership in just 2/3 years suggests he's got something. I mean, all the talent scouts and managers cannot be blind.

And at the apex level, clubs typically have dedicated scouting departments with staff watching dozens of tapes and analysing player data before making a buying decision.

Granted he's had limited appearances in the Super Eagles but his cameos have been average at best if not subpar.
Chrisantus is a very good player, he is still very young and has a lot to learn via technical abilities but trust me he is a natural baller with lots of enthusiasm like Osimhen...

Give him some time and see wonders
I won't introduce him as a sub when you need a goal rather when you need to intimidate opponents midfield and stress them more

he is not out of his depth.. he was playing hero-ball like Lookman but he was pressing and closing down the Benin players.

Thanks to him SE was still pressing beyond 80mins.. even Tolu that was subbed on late was not really pressing...
You sabi....dude was not clueless as they make it seem
He pressed well, probably 1 or 2 timing but it wasn't bad plus this is just his debut

Its not being unfair lookman tends to hold ball too much to score his own gaols which chukwueze gets the ball and looks for osimhen.

Chukwueze played with same simon and performed while lookman played with him 3 times and didnt show up.

But in all lookman is better than simon sha.
He is a bit selfish thats his problem
chief them no dey call out some players flaws for here ohh

Mybettingtips:

Watch our keeper

Nwabali needs to be talked to. Serious talk, his non chaplains attitude may cost us again. The ref didn’t blow his whistle yet he dropped the ball and the Benin guy scored a legit goal. Thank God the ref didn’t give the goal. That’s a big risk

Captain Ndidi went to talk to him, see the way he shuffled him away. At half time camera was on him and Ekong and they were seriously arguing. His ego may cost us big in future

A keeper that should ginger us by launching fast counters when we were in dire need of goals. He was busy wasting time sleeping on the ball. Thank God Frank the Tank got us the winning goal.
As in ehn, so unprofessional ...I was really disgusted
At this rate I'll take Uzoho over him oh.

A player that doesn't listen to teammates let alone his senior teammates is a waiting disaster

Same way he shoved off Bassey, the Bobo come dey look am like;
"you sure say this our keeper head correct?"

forgiveness:
The bolded explanation proofs today's game plan has nothing to do with the players.

Why single out Lookman? Na Lookman bi coach we dey do press?

Today, they allowed Benin to play while they countered and played long balls.

Today's game is tactical not about hugging ball or not.
Chief I didn't single out anybody, I have the right to make a comment like every other fan
And I just commented on my observations.

I talked about Nwabali, Ekong,Simon as well but why are you all getting emotional about Lookman.

he has been rusty that doesn't make him bad.
So give me a break.

Meaning, whenever he played we played badly. Weldone.
How you interpret it, is up to you chief

Just stating what I saw... Today's movement was more fluid with no one hugging the ball down, moving to the left and delays passes

Everyone has their own style of play doesn't necessarily means they play badly

I think we're being unfair to Lookman
I actually think he would have done better than Simon did in the first half..

Those crosses Simon misplaced, Lookman would have done better
I'm not being unfair.

I'm just stating what I saw
LOOKMAN is a good player, but today in his absence we played better

There Was no much hanging unto the ball for long and releasing some passes a little bit late.

Lookman is good but he has been rusty lately but it doesn't mean he wouldn't get better.
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Elock1:
We played better without LOOKMAN

CHUKWUEZE has Benin's cheat code

SIMON delivered, no matter his football is never a beautiful one

FREDERICK was solid

EKONG should remain a figure head

OLA AINA should get well soon

OSIMHEN was just being OSIMHEN

FRANK got his opportunity and delivered a clutch moment

Nwabali caught the ball, and was not fouled, but because he felt he was the boss he had a personal belief that after he confronted the Benin player that the ref was already on his side, so he stupidly dropped the ball on the ground.

It was the ref that saved us there, because that goal was supposed to stand.

We need to drop this guy. He has caused us enough troubles already. He was clearly the reason we lost the final against CIV when he started picking up unnecessary fight against Adingra and being childish when we were one goal up.
I saw that too...
The ref saved us there,
normally he didn't blow and Nwabali dropped the ball.
I've never seen a player like this, doesn't he know it's a contact sports

I humbly give up and accept my fate and wait for 2030😭😭😭😭😭

I don't accept this idea of play offs because it doesn't even end here in CAF, you'll still play another series at the world stage

That will be pure torture to my soul and a fresh new series of prolonged high blood pressure.
I hereby limit my expectations and place my hope now in the coming AFCON.

Cocony:
This is not belief. This is best possible outcome.
Our surest pathway still depends on 4 other games not South Africa's game alone. The Burkina Faso vs Ethiopia, Mali vs Madagascar, and the Algeria vs Uganda games are other Variables that must go our way first as they play before us. Only then can we narrow the belief/assertion down to Rwanda winning or drawing and we getting a 2:0 win that will take us to the World Cup. The above outline is the right/correct order of belief/assertion.

Stop the let's get 2 goals mantra as that depends on the outcome of the following:
Burkina Faso vs Ethiopia
Mali v Madagascar
Algeria v Uganda.
It is only if these matches end in a draw that the let's get 2 goals mantra becomes an agenda and even at that Super Eagles defence will need not to concede for the let's get 2 goals mantra to be a good option.

I repeat let's get 4 goals mantra will be the best option.
If we get 2 goals against Benin and South Africa draws or loses

We will be Topping the group, therefore there will be no runners up calculations
