Surfing through the streets of some social media platforms. One can only wonder the life of affluence and splendor most politicians and their children are living. But immediately they leave office, everything just comes to a halt (except the lavish lifestyle). Looking at the various perceive “humanitarian”, the NGOs and charitable organizations they belong to. All these just stop after they (politicians) and their kids are no longer in power. This leaves me with a valid question, one that is in the mid of a lot of people. Do these set of people really care or give a Bleep about the people they are governing? Do they even have the human sympathy they tend to portray to the media? Or are they just doing it (obviously with public funds) for future electoral benefits or as a means to Siphon/launder money. I could recall a former governor of Abia state who shared #500 to women who just gave birth, and when interviewed about it, he said “why would you ask a poor woman what she wants to use #500 for” . When countries like Finland for example are giving paid leave up to a year to either spouse of a newborn with benefit packages. Other countries are granting asylum with welfare packages to immigrants while still providing the very best for their citizens If you think this is just another post to demonize our political class, take a look at politicians (especially in Nigeria) and their kids via their various social media handles who weren’t re-elected into another political office. Use the former president and his family as an example.

300 million to host a group of people in a state for 1 week Is the naria that worthless or the Rivers government spending recklessly?🤔 |
That’s the behavior of an average Nigerian woman, thinking of themselves only. I would say this (anyone can quote me if I’m wrong) Most Nigerian women give birth for 3 major reasons; 1 is to solidify their marriage or connection to a man/his family 2 is for retirement plan 3 is for them not to be lonely at old age. |

In as much as this is a sad story. But I’d still say this, Nigerian ladies and couples need to think deep when when nursing the idea about childbearing. If women (especially) can reason like men sometimes, situations like these wound be minimal. My reason for this thought is that, women, young or old (specifically Nigerian ladies) to the best of my knowledge are so naive/eager to childbirth, maybe because of the way they are wired genetically. I have seen/heard cases where men would want to approach childbearing without emotions, but ladies would just want to give birth so as to live a fulfilling life. E.g a young couple would agree on 2-3 kids, after the planned last child, the woman would starting pressuring for another child without thinking about the man’s financial situation, saying things like “God would provide, na God day give pikin” I had my own fair share when my then uni girlfriend jokingly told me she wanted a baby because one of her coursemate just delivered, this was someone who was in her early twenties and me in final year. If you and your spouse aren’t financially comfortable, just be mindful of the number of kid(s) you birth |
Igemburg:Honda civic, upgraded to accord. That’s new 🤔 |
This man has been in the corridor of power for a long time, not long ago he was governor. Just a few months without a political office, he is restless. Trump lost an election since 2020, but he didn’t commit any nuisance afterwards, today he has returned to the seat he once left. This is a clear indication that most Nigerian politicians can not survive without been in the political spare, hence they cling to it like it’s their birthright. |
One thing I have noticed about Abuja drivers is that, they can cover as many journeys as possible so far they are paid good money. The hiase bus driver must have completed a journey the previous night, instead of him to sleep in the morning, he’s on the road again. Why won’t he be tired. The last time I traveled from Abuja to Benin, the driver told me he hasn’t slept for 2 days, that he just completed a journey from Lagos to abuja the previous night. We got to Benin around to 10 in the night, the werey was still saying he wanted to get to Lagos that night and be in Abuja in the morning. I just looked at him like “shabi this one wants to gamble with people’s lives ni” 🤔 |
Hello and good day to everyone. Please I would like to solicit for a job anywhere within Abuja. I am currently staying in kubwa and I finished serving some months ago. I studied Entrepreneurship from a federal university with a second class lower. I am a little tech savvy, know how to use some Microsoft applications, and I’m a male under 30 years. I’m looking for this job because I need it to stay back in my current city after my service year. Any suggestions would be really appreciated. Thank you in advance to your response.

This is what I call proactiveness. Only if Nigerian women would think like this. If you don’t want a baby, then make plans not to get pregnant. World population is already too much anyways. |
