These are the kind of posts that i come across and smile. I have a few questions to ask, which i will answer subsequently. 1. How many persons see fathering a child as a job? 2. Does being a professional (banker, Engineer, Accountant, etc) make me a thief? 3. Cant a Pastor be allowed to live a free life like other human being on earth without any antagonism to their every move? Being a father is not a job, when we have children We desire to see our biological children grow up, be successful and help their younger siblings and also be of help to us. Its the same with being a Pastor. This is not a job but a respinsibility carried out for God. So if a pastor have brethren who want to give to them, they are obliged to take. The money on the altar is not for the pastor. Only the one given to the Pastor that is his own and that is what he lives on. At some point in your life, you would have purchased, different gift item for persons that helped you grow in life. The same way a pastor recieves gifts from his congregation. Furthermore, if i own a business or work in an organisation where i earn salary, and the pay is in good digits, does it mean i got it from the church. For your information some Pastor were rich even before they start Pastoring a congregation. lastly, The principle of giving and receiving is clear. hence if a pastor does not give, he will be broke, irrespective of how much he receives. have you not heard of Pastors giving out cars, scholarships, Airplanes, houses, etc. If a Pastor is on this list, he must be a reckless giver. |
